Ok. Noted. The issue is that u comprised by not listing all his grades in 8 subjects he entered for. Why stylishly omitting Mathematics and Woodwork which he had F9. The answer is simple cos we all know from d Endorsement letter from d Principal back then he gave a futuristic remark that Buhari will have five credits in English, Mathematics and three others. Yes Bubu might have settled d issue of eligibility but another round of legal fireworks might be in d offing that might make him loose all entitlement in d military as he isn't qualified to be enlisted
F9's are always ommitted from the final certificate.

Mohammadu Buhari did not sit for West African School Certificate (WASC). What he sat for, according to recent reports, was Cambridge Certificate. Our president is committing fraud by presenting what he does not have. Shame on Femi adesina for coming to defend the indefensible. Femi is working for a man with only school certificate and he seems to be happy.
The exam at the time was called Cambridge West African School Certificate, and was conductied by WAEC on behalf of University of Cambridge.

The Cambridge WASC was replaced by the SSCE in 1988, then by WASSCE in 1998.

Did WAEC conduct his examination? Were they even in existence when he ought to sit for exam? Is Cambridge and WAEC the same? O ma wa ga fun country yi o. See people fighting corruption...
WAEC was founded in 1953...plus they were conducting the exam on behalf of the University of Cambridge Local Exams syndicate (which directly conducted the exam before 1953).

In as much as I like PMB, I totally disagreed the authenticity of that certificate.

My reasons are:-

1. 60s/70s certificates are pink in color
2. Late 70s/80s still pink and sky blue color
3. 80s/90s is sky blue color only
4. 90s till date is sky blue with photo imbursement
Well, the answer is simple.

Since the Army cannot find Buhari's ceetificate...Buhari applied to the origanisation that was in charge of adminsitering the examination back in 1961 to print a fresh certificate.

Obviously they cannot print a 1960's certificate...so they printed a current one

It's simple.

Cambridge West African School Certificate...which was conducted by WAEC on behalf of the University of Cambridge Local Exams Syndicate back then. It has since been superceeded by what we call the WASSCE.

Let them present it to INEC. Because it is one thing to claim that you have a certificate and it is another thing to present it for scrutiny.
WAEC was conducting the examinations on behalf of what was then known as the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate back then.

But if it was so simple why didn't he do this in 2015 especially when that barrister took him to court?
Why hire 15 SANs to defend him possessing a certificate it would have taken at most N5000 processing fee and an application letter to get?
Something is still smelling here and it has the smell of rotten fish.
I beleive Buhari got his WASC.

The fact is, back in 1961, when he joined the Army , there was no way they would have let him in without his WASC. , or at least proof he wrote the exam.

TO beleive Buhari has no certificate is to assume that the Nigerian Army in 1961 was already corrupt that they were admitting people without WASC certificate.

Back in 2015...Bubu's old school released the Continous Assesment Sheets...which prove he wrote the exam.

And as Gen Akinrade stated honestly....back then when you joined the Army, you handed over your certificate.

The whole certificate stuff only became politically important when APC was poised for victory in 2015....

Infact why didn't Obasanjo, and Yaradua and even GEJ ask questions back in 2003, 2007 and 2011? Were they blind, or was INEC blind all those years.

Plus Bubu has gone on the record stating that his certificates were lost during the coup that removed him from office in 1985.

I don't like Bubu. I don't like APC, or PDP. But at the same time, this conspiracy theory has got to be put to bed once and for all. Bubu wrote WAEC. He also got through the Nigerian Defence Academy, and several courses at home and abroad...including a course at the US War College.

Bubu wrote WAEC. For you not to beleive he did...is to beleive that the white people that were still running our Army (until 1963, the COAS/GOC Nigerian Army was British).....were so lacking in meritocracy that they chose an illiterate Northerner to become an officer in the Army....when at the same time people like Abdulsalam Abubakar, Ibrahim Babangida, etc....had to join with WAEC results.

(IBB by the way, got his WAEC certificate over 20 years after he wrote the exam. Does he sound like an illiterate to you?)

Nigerians!

Again, I don't back APC. or PDP.
PoliticsRe: How Buhari Campaign Organization Fraudulently Used Pseudo Companies - Leadersng by theoldpretender(m): 4:23pm On Nov 02, 2018
Just before I start....I would like to state that I think there is corruption in the bubu government, and not enough has been done to fight it.

With that out of the way...let's dissect the report...

engineerboat:
EXCLUSIVE: How Buhari Campaign Organization fraudulently used Pseudo Companies to bid for contracts from Ministry of Power, Works and Housing

The Buhari Campaign Organisation has collected over N60bn from different ministries and agencies of Government through Pseudo Companies to fund the campaign of the President’s re-election in 2019, LeadersNG learned.
That is the main allegation.

In a document made available to LeadersNG, it was gathered that Good Governance Awareness Campaigner Group under the auspices of the Buhari Campaign Organization used the following Private companies, Heridam Worldwide Limited, Maysu Construction LTD, Honeygate Engineering Company LTD, Extended Global Services Limited, Ajibako Multi Links Nigeria Limited, Maizamam Multi Resource Limited, Authentic Consulting Firm Limited, Teamdek Ventures Nigeria Limited to illegally obtain contracts from the Ministry Of Power, Works and Housing to fund the re-election campaign of President Muhammadu Buhari.

In a letter addressed to the Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Power, Works and Housing, the Campaign proposed for the Supply and Installation of Road Signs along Federal Highways. The Organization requested the Ministry to give some slots to cushion the Financial Pressure on them as they intend to move the campaign train to the grassroot in the Six Geo Political Zones in the country.

The source further told LeadersNG that the Campaign Organization has been using the re-election of the President to get contracts from different Ministries, Agencies and Parastatals of Government without following due process.

Y
The letter appears legitimate...however.

1.There is no proof the letter came from the Buhari Campaign Organisaiton. For all we know, it could have come from other sources.
2.There is no proof that the 'companies' got the money. For that, we have to see documents from the Minsitry of Works...which LeadersNG has not provided.
3.The news source then goes on to allege that the BCO has been getting contracts from other ministries...without proof. (That is called assumption...ie someone is assuming that because X happened here, it could have happened elsewhere.
4.What I would like to see is some form of official confirmation from the Ministry of Works that confirms such funds were paid to the fake companies. As well as actual documentation eg bank transfers, etc.

As it stands...the basis of the report is mere conjecture. I am not saying it is a lie, mind....I am saying that we need more proof. (It is also very diffiuclt to be a whistleblower in Nigeria...you could lose a lot, and I mean a lot).

5.To be frank, if someone wanted to loot money for the Bubu campaign, they won't be this brazen. It would be more like Fashola's 75million for website...but then again, innocent me knoweth not too much

You would recall that LeadersNG had Exclusively reported that the Spokesperson of the Buhari Campaign Organization, Mr. Festus Keyamo collected N450M from the NNPC for the President’s re-election
.

Keyamo has denied collecting the money. He may be lying (Keyamo can be a bit sly)...but I doubt.(See here)

Procurement Act stipulates that bids shall be invited only from qualified/approved contractors/suppliers competent to do the work or provide the services to the nominated standards, the process that was never followed in the award of Contracts to some of the above mentioned companies.

The law also says that contracts shall be awarded to the lowest evaluated responsive bidder, and shall meet all technical requirements and standards on the basis of competitive tendering unless overriding technical grounds exist to justify any other course of action.

of every major contractor to the Federal government in the country with no exception are funding the President’s re-election. This includes oil companies, construction companies and other private companies.
True...but here is a problem.

The letter tendered as proof, again, does not prove that the companies listed got the jobs they applied for.

Many govt parastatals, when they are advertising for jobs often times get innundated with letters from governor X or prominet person Y. These letters MIGHT give someone an advantage in the job search...but at the end of the day, they might not get the jobs.

And as LeadersNG has not provided proof if the companies listed DID get the jobs, or proof that they were allowed to join the bidding...other than a letter which may or may not be of dubious provenance,........I can safely conclude that the companies listed DID not get the jobs.

Ministers and other appointees of the Septuagenarian Leader who promised to kill corruption, have continued to award contracts without the National Council on Public Procurement (NCPP) – a regulatory body, created by law, to set thresholds to values of contracts that an awarding ministry or agency can approve.

LeadersNG also gathered that federal ministers have been awarding contracts to friends and families of the Nigerian Leader
It is possible this is happening(this is Nigeria after all....)...HOWEVER...no proof is offered. We are somehow to believe the assertions without proof.

In conclusion...I doubt this report. I DO think that THERE is a possibility of truth....but until we see more proof.....

I agree with your point but if we have good working refineries, govt can subsidize their output and we can buy at less. they will also have access to crude so the refined product can be sufficient depending on the capacity of the refinery.....
I doubt any private refinery owner would agree to subsidised fuel.

Subsides prevent sufficent profits from being made. (which is why we have scams such as subsidy claims being made for fuel not being imported, people selling fuel across the border, etc.).

I also think it is becoming financially difficult to keepon subsidising fuel...however due to poltiical expidency, we waste money continuing the current subsidy.

The same mistake PDP made in 2015 is the same mistake APC is making now.

I think that they are confidently making the mistake because they think they can afford it (Buhari is on the ballot, so no problem).

Well, with the Middle Belt out of their hands, every vote is going to count. APC better sort its house out. If they want to win.

Why are we perpetual importer of the finished product? This is a big shame.
Because building a new refinery...is going to cost at least $9billion....and we need at least 3 of these refinieries.

(Dangote's refinery cost $9bn. $6bn of that money came from loans from international lenders and the African Development Bank...)

Our foreign reserves is $40bn....

The only way to get new refineries...is to remove fuel subsidy, which in turn would encourage investors to build refineries, and make their profits. But Nigerians don't want price increases.

Fuel is not going to go to N60 per liter...and any politican who promises you that is lying.

Only way that can happen is if oilgoes up to $140 and above per barrel, giving us enough dollars to buffer the naira...and improve its value. Again, not going to happen.

Improving domestic refining capacity....won't solve the problem. I doubt it costs less than N100 to refine one liter of fuel in Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: NNPC Shores Up Fuel Supply With BP Oil Deal by theoldpretender(m): 6:42am On Nov 02, 2018
Basically we would be exchanging crude oil for refined product

Sounds interesting. Especially as we don't have sufficent refining capacity.

Let's see how it goes. Although...this is a stopgap measure. Thing is...we have to get in more investment in our oil industry....and we can only do that by removing that thing called subsidy.
PoliticsRe: After Selling Assets, FG May Sell Nigerians As Slaves To Fund Budget - Afenifere by theoldpretender(m): 8:13am On Nov 01, 2018
NB: Not here to defend Buhari, or to attack Atiku.

The reason why we are in debt has to do with the fact that we are reliant on oil.

Now...oil price since 2015 has gone from $75 to $30 and now is $81

Meanwhile, the price we need oil to be so that we cannot take any debts is $140 . (And the last time it was that high was in 2008...before it dropped.)

So,for every barrel of oil we have been selling, we have, in essence, been losing between 59-109 dollars.

At the end of the day, we have to take loans to stay afloat. Anyone who thinks that we would have never taken loans under a PDP government should they have won in 2015...is in for a long thing.

And anyone who thinks we should never have taken loans...well, by now some people won't have seen salaries for 3 years.

The solution is simple....we get off oil via ending subsides, providing incentives to local industrialists (like giving them dollars at a lower rate), investing in education, and really fighting corruption.

Well, if you have ideas to raise our budget to something like 40trillion naira every year, with each state raising as high as N20trillion....I guess we would be in a position to make our police offices look nice and lovely.

To be frank, Nigeria is not a rich country. We produce the same amount of oil as the United Arab Emirates, yet Dubai has all the flashy and nice infrastructure because the UAE has eleven million people, while we have 200 million people.

And no, I won't be voting PDP or APC. Because neither of them have any ideas to fix the problem, and neither of them are willing to do things like removing subsidy...which would promote investment and jobs in our petroleum sector...or fight corruption (which is making a bad situation worse)...to do it.

I could lie and say that Nigeria is rich. But here is the thing rich countries do that we don't...they use what they have to make what the rest of the world needs. Nigeria is just a country of consumers and consumers...who prefer to share money rather than work for it. That is what is driving things like Boko Pigs,Biafra and restructuring....even resource control and regionalisim. The people demand cake.

Chief Tony Anenih's transition is indeed a colossal loss to all, as he was a great personage not just to us in Edo but the nation in caboodle. He will be greatly missed for constantly promoting the good people of Edo state in highly exalted positions in Nigeria's political atmospherics.
In fact, his solid political interventions in the corpus of our pax Nigeriana shall remain coruscatingly etched in the Nations encephalon and non pareil. He truly emblematized a savoir-faire predilection in his political peregrination.

Even as we mourn his transition, let us also be consoled because he lived a very productive life. His presence was felt as the Iyasele of Esan land and a bridge builder for Edo State and Nigeria.

I pray that the Great Geometrician of the Universe grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss*
