Christianity EtcRe: New Year's 2020, & Of Course Has 20 Repeating Itself, but Why? Happy 2020 Y'all. by ThothHermes: 11:52pm On Jan 03, 2020
Happy new year to you too Oga Boss. Keep increasing in wisdom.
MuttleyLaff:
Happy New and rewarding Year to you CaveAdullam. I am filled with awe, even, still, long after finding out the meaning of your moniker.

I digress, but back to the new year 2020. Not many have thought of the significance of 20, actually repeating itself in this new year, you know repeating just like in those sort of "truly, truly ..." John 1:51, John 3:3 etcetera Johannine biblical intro phrases, and the thing is, it is repeating itself for a "credible" and truthfully significant reason(s). Yeah, its the season thanks to one mister PrecisionFx, for getting me to use the word "credible" here, lol. "Credible" is in vogue thanks to him, lol. Anyway, as I was saying, the new year, apparently is sounding off a robust and/or uncompromising message(s) to whom and/or those applicable, by deliberately and consciously repeating the number twenty twice.

I know there's the negative and positive sides of the number 20, but I strongly believe that because of the 20 repetition being done, in this case, twice, then this year is really all about the positives, and so its identifying with those, more so than with the negatives.

For the sake of twenty, God will not destroy (i.e. Genesis 18:31, lol) Happy rewarding 2020, CaveAdullam.

With that said and done, here's a Happy 2020 to the, our ọga, at the top, Seun.

nduchucks:
The OP's observations are quite accurate.

That said, would the OP be willing to admit that Onyema's alleged acts are in violation of US money laundering laws and IRS laws?

The indictment shows that Onyema has been investigated for quite some time and the charges were not mere trumped up charges.

The OP's motives are hard to decipher but it smacks of some sort of damage control and PR. Admittedly I could be wrong but these are my opinions.

Onyema needs to mount a vigorous defence in US court rooms as the court of public opinions is useless to him at this point.

@ OruExpress
There is no vigorous defense here. This is a case of premeditated fraud.
The prosecuting attorney would not charge him or freeze his accounts unless they had him dead to rights.
His best option now is to take a plea deal or become a fugitive.

WorkSmartEdu:
I spent a very long time going through this post comment after comment and I want to salute the men and women who are standing against this recent madness which many unfortunate females are calling "feminism"

I am a strong believer of equal opportunities for all whether male or female and as a husband and father who has the mixture of both sexes, it is imperative that I drill into them the realities of planet Earth as nature is just unforgiving and the fools who fail to learn from it will have themselves to blame.

This game of marriage is a team game....QED and just like in every team there are defined roles for each member. A goal keeper cannot be struggling to take a penalty kick with an astute striker. The only opportunity a goalie will have at a penalty kick is if they are ajugded the best taker or if every other better positioned players have failed.

In my family, my instructions and directions are clear. I am capable enough to provide for my family and my extended family (wife's family) and I need a helper who will produce my kids and help me take care of them and carry out domestic activities which are places that I don't class as my forte. Now it got to a point from I presume reading some vile posts from these frustrated girls and single mothers who hate men, my wife wanted to challenge that guideline, I carefully cancelled my initial plans to send her abroad fro further studies, sat her down and offered to continue paying her the salary of over 1.8m per annum excluding over 150k in bulk sum each quarter that I am paying her because we have children now and they are my priority so that she will let me BOUNCE as I was willing to keep paying the house rent for her and have joint custody of our kids. I was thinking she would jump at the offer, but alas she started weeping and gathered both families that I shouldn't go..Lool!

See eeeh I am a man's man and I would not debate what that means. I am willing to take the bullet for my family but what I won't accept is the madness of two captains in a ship. Hell No!

My daughters will grow coming from a position of priviledge and some level of wealth and will have equal opportunities like my sons. But I promise to raise them up just like my mother with the clear understanding that irrespective of what you have and who you are, that there must never be two leaders in a progressive team and that Nature provided roles and guidelines and no one fights nature and wins.
She must learn to ignore the probable idiots who are dishonest in their cravings and who hate all men and want all men subdued under the ridiculous tag of "feminism".

But men please and please do not insist on my path if you are deficient in providing for your family and household and also don't think it unfair if your wife insists you do house chores if she contributes to the family not because she wants to but because she has to!
I help out on some chores when I feel like and not because I am compelled to. I also raise my kids at any given opportunity that I stay with them just because I believe I have better experience at it. By the way since my woman got back to her senses, I have invested over 1.5m in a business for her too but with very clear instructions that if she allows the small wealth she is getting as a result get to her head and forget our family commitments, there will be consequences.

Nature will take care of these oversabi wannabe men-women who are hiding under the cloak of "feminism".
Fantastic. I have always said it that a woman is as feminist as the men in their lives allow them to be.
No woman can say crap to any man who assumes full provider duties, who is not wanting in any area.

Feminists always look for watered-down men to promote their stupid ideas on. A man who fulfills his duties has nothing to worry about because his options are long from here to Bangkok.

You are also right that nature always takes it's course. All the feminists I know are on the internet grin

An "undomesticated" man who shares the bills. No goalpost shifting cheesy.
So I bet you are joking, and she got your joke and ignored you.
She did not. She just did not know any so she was dancing right and left.
Click on family section, you gonna see several threads that border on lazy men who cannot do chores/help out, even to cook their own breakfasts during emergency situations. Some who work from home, and others who are jobless, wife is bread winner, yet they don't help, because of the black man's foolish ego. The thread is titled ''how can I understand/satisfy my
husband?''.

The second thread is titled ''married men can you tolerate this? Married ladies are you all the same?''. Both threads are currently on the front page, and such threads keep littering the front page, go and read it, come back here and start another line of arguments and false claims...........
I can't begin to explain how thoughtless this kind of reasoning is. For every such thread (which are unverifiable by the way), there are hundreds, if not thousands of threads with comments from male posters showing that they are partakers in domestic duties. If you take any random sample of sufficient size, you will see that those undomesticated men (who want to share the bills) are still less than 1% of the male population.
but I'm done with you.
It would have made sense if you answered the question I asked her instead of veering off in another direction. Do you know any such man personally?
I really hope you are done with me. Responding to you is a thankless and stressful task.

The acts of making up nonexistent scenerios and seeing sexism where it does not exist are the special talents of feminism. Can you imagine that in the US, despite having equal rights and opportunities as men; a divorce and child support laws brutally rigged in their favour; and a gynocentric society, American feminists still think there is a patriarchy and rape culture in the USA? grin They even peddle the myth of gender wage gap. cheesy

They can't be taken seriously.

Be careful, she will call you an incel for disagreeing with her.

Lol. This point was one of the points I highlighted in my arguments with her but I got not reasonable response. She is crying over nonexistent situation. I was shocked when she said women are sharing the bills and doing the chores and cooking alone while the man just shares the bill. Even if such cases existed, it wouldn't be due to feminism as feminists would demand equality. In fact feminists, being the hypocrites that they are, will run to provider husbands and they wouldn't even do the chores and cooking for flimsy reasons.
Lol

I am starting to think that you have to be a special kind of stupid to subscribe to the idea of feminism.
Especially the Nairaland type.

They'll just make up scenarios and start arguing against them.

Ask for just one example of that that kind of men they begin to say rubbish.
If such men existed, they'll be a very miniscule part of the population. Not worth giving a thought.

Are women not given equal opportunities like men?
Are they not already empowered?
And all other crap they would have known about if they actually left their foriegn websites and went into Nigerian society to see how things work.

You have made very good points op, too bad some small boys are too dumb to comprehend.

Ladycewhy:
I would like to point out that this is my personal opinion and i in no way want to infringe on the right of others to have their opinion as well but nevertheless it is my opinion.

I have said it time and time again that i think modern day feminism which has shifted from its main aim of equity to equality is women shooting themselves in the foot. Again my Personal opinion.

Nature has a made the roles very clear ,the provider and the caregiver. The man is the provider and the woman is the care giver.

Women have wombs for a reason ,ever wondered why men don't? Think on that.

Now if men are not helping women offload their biological weight why are women struggling to help men offload their financial weight to prove a point? The truth is the self esteem of men is tied to one thing "being able to provide". A man who works comes home ,hangs his feet and waits for his food, but a working house wife , comes home takes care of the kids ,cooks ,cleans before she eats. You see why i said women are shooting themselves in the foot because in trying to prove a point ,you are working yourself more no wonder many women look older than their husbands.

That is why i will not pay for a date,or give a man money ,its your duty as a man to provide ,and if you cant , off you go. Our forefathers gave their wives lands to farm ,that was their own way of providing, some of our mothers didnt even farm. But you see modern men shying away from this aspect and wanting women to be co-providers yet they will not agree to be co-caretakers and caregivers.Even men who loose their jobs instead of taking the role of the caregiver to ease the load off their wives become bitter and vindictive and develop this victim mentality cos the only thing tied to their manliness is actually their ability to provide .

I believe in equity , treating humans irrespective of gender with respect and dignity that was the original aim of feminism not this power tussle and gender grandstanding we see today and this is just my opinion .
I am very sure you don't know any man who wants his wife to be a coprovider but does not want to be a co-caretaker.

What point? Which point? You made no point, you have no point.

''"The spirit of God made or fashioned me; and the breath of the Almighty gives me life."
- Job 33:4

''This is what God the LORD says—He who created the heavens and stretched them out,
who spread out the earth and its offspring,
who gives breath to the people on it and life to those who walk in it:
"
- Isaiah 42:5

If it is true that God is uninterested, then it means that currently now you should and/or ought to be dead, and thats from God asking for His breath back from you. God is interested in you, which is why you're alive on earth, breathing in the land of the living. If not, then means, you by now should be six feet under, but you aren't yet six feet under, so indicates God's interest in you.

You know you're lying making that comment or merely just trying hard being ignorant. You know you wish and/or you expect, at the very least, to be alive, as in meaning, be alive and kicking here on obodo earth among and/or along with others on this land of the living
