You do a good job as a unity beggar. I wonder where you Nigerians would be if you never had Lugard to give your your name and country. Only a Nigerian will be telling a Biafran what to do to get Biafra even though the Nigerian did not do any of it to get Nigeria.
Like Igbos told NigerDelta republic of Isaac Boro in 1966, such that the verdict was "No!"?

Is it not Nigeria you want to be free from? So who should tell you by what parameters such might be considered if not Nigerians? Or you want to be told by Israel or Vladimir Putin or Donald Trump?

IPOB loves to allude to international statutes and cite scenarios. Only problem is the global examples they love to cite buttress the dismissal and disregard that IPOB gets from Nigeria.

IPOB are not the representatives or leadership of Igbos in Nigeria. The failed Catalonian struggle for independence and the unsuccessful Scottish referendum that have been numerously referenced by IPOB, were both canvassed for by the recognised regional government and political leadership of those want-away regions in their mother country.

IPOB is nothing in Nigeria, and any attempt to forcefully and violently force itself upon a people and region in Nigeria like the boko haram of the North, will always result in a tale of woe.

When will the political leadership of the people table the demands of those that continually vote for them?

When will Ekweremadu table the demands of his people as he plans to return to the federal legislature for the 5th term. Or his own constituency in Enugu is not interested in leaving Nigeria? Have they revolted against Ekweremadu for telling all Igbos that they cannot get Biafra?

I repeat, IPOB is just clowning about. When they are ready to truly advance their own goals, they would subject themselves to the democratic franchise of the people who appoint their own leaders. Not by force or threats that UN, EU, ICC, Trump, Putin do not recognise being advocates and products of democratic franchise of the electorate, respectively.

When Zik , Awolowo and the rest started agitating for the independence of Nigeria in the 40's there was elections in Nigeria to talk about even getting elected. They had no mandate and represented nobody except the right of self determination. The country called Nigeria is nothing but a colonial creation, nobody gave their permission to be included in it. Some people are now saying that since Lugard who created Nigeria has gone back to Britain, it is time for us all to go home too.

As an Igbo man, if I'm being ruled from a foreign place called Abuja, then I'm being ruled by a foreign power. I have no historical connection to Abuja. My capital city should be somewhere like Enugu, Owerri, Onitsha and so on.

This illegal and unconstitutional fraud of an amalgamation in 1914 called "Nigeria" all not stand.

We are taking back our sovereignty and we shall be free of this failed British colonial contraption called Nigeria
So now that you know they had no franchise but later got franchise by advocating for it as outsiders and utilised it to demand for independence, what is stopping IPOB agents as outsiders not enfranchised to lead to democratically assume such leadership over people who have franchise to determine who will lead them and which aspirations they support?

Can you now see you are comparing Apples to Oranges as I already alluded you are wont to do?

Nigeria was created by Britain but Nigerian elected and democratic leaders ratified the unity of the country. Infact Azikiwe leading the East, vowed that the country must be totally inseparable, such that any attempt will result to a war. He ensured as the leader of the East, that there was no secession clause in the constitution of the independent Nigeria. He also detailed how the North will be economically blockaded if it attempted to separate from Nigeria, such that famine will be a direct consequence and punitive aftermath.

We still remember how an Isaac Boro that wanted a liberation of his Ijaw homeland of NigerDelta Republic from the Eastern Region headquartered in Enugu, was crushed by the Easterners Aguiyi Ironsi as military rulaer of Nigeria, and Emeka Ojukwu as military governor of Eastern region.

As an Igboman, being ruled from Abuja that is a federal capital that houses democratic leaders of all the nook and crany of Nigeria, you claim you are ruled by a foreign power? Do we then create a capital area in each village?

So the Igbo Biafra that would be ruled from Enugu, Umuahia or Owerri or Aba, would also be a foreign power to the Onitsha, Abakaliki, Nnewi and Ikeduru man? Going by your logic, should the people of Awka then be ruled from a foreign place in Enugu by a foreign power that is not from Awka, even when they are constitutionally and democratically represented in the federal government that may exist at Enugu which is not their native land?

Or every Igbo hamlet does not have a right to their own sovereignty?

I repeat, where are the democratic and constitutional leaders of the Igbos to demand for a separation from Nigeria, having been so enfranchised by the people in a manner that conforms to global best practices advocated by the UN and other global agencies?

If those leaders are not advocating the aspirations of their people, have the same people forgotten their democratic franchise to replace them with new leaders who will serve their will?

Even All, Awolowo, Ayo Adebanjo, TOS Benson and other Nigerian nationalsts were clamped down on when they started their agitation for Nigeria's independence from Britain. They were called terrorists, clamped in jail, shot at, brought before courts. People thought they were fools for going against the might of the British empire.

Today, Nigerians like you have designated October 1st every year to celebrate their suffering and sweat.

So the Biafran will also go through what they went through before he gets his independence from Nigeria. The Biafran will be called a terrorist, clamped in jail, shot and brought before court.

But guess what? One day, we shall also designate a day of independence to celebrate the suffering and sweat of the Biafran.
You are equating those who were being ruled by a foreign power from a different continent as part of an empire, to a people who are one of many constituent tribes in a country where all have equal democratic franchise and rights and are members of the political leadership of that country and contribute to its law making processes?

Typical of IPOB to compare Apples to Oranges and cite totally irrelevant circumstances.

If I may ask, the Nigerians you mentioned were all elected to speak for those they were advocating for. Who has voted for agents of IPOB to speak for a people who already regularly vote their democratic leaders as per global best practices advocated by UN?

And those democratic leaders recognised constitutionally, have not tabled any demands to be separated from Nigeria and have not been replaced by the people who might feel that are not getting adequate representation for their aspirations.

So who exactly is IPOB but a usurper of democratic leadership and a terrorist organization?
Politics › Re: I'm An Igbo Man But IPOB Should Be Proscribed by Throwback:

Unfortunately for ignorant people like you, the international community is interested in "actions", not spoken words or statements. Violence must be an action. So wether you cry from now to eternity about what IPOB or Kanu said or did not say, the international community only cares about actions.

That's why America and the EU don't consider IPOB a terrorist organisation. You can't be a terrorist by word of mouth alone
You are the ones that need the international community for recognition. The sovereign state of Nigeria does not need recognition for its clampdown against all manner of criminal elements within its boundary.

Worse still, whatever excesses of the Nigerian government in dealing with IPOB terrorists, is already taken care of with the prior threats generously afforded the government by the lousy IPOB.

Who would recognise a terrorist group that openly threatens those they claim to want to liberate, but who have not considered them as leaders and have not been elected as leaders to pursue any goal on their behalf?

How is IPOB different from every other self imposing terrorist group who want to force their own ideas and beliefs on a people who are free and enfranchised to determine their own leaders?

Is threat of terror not the typical tool of every terrorist entity, so as to ensure compliance to their will?

You've said it all, to them, the threat is OK but anyone else who does same would be reported to the UN, ICC and the likes.
That is the way IPOB operates. They are the masters of propaganda that has not moved any relevant global organisation or agency to consider them as responsible or reputable.

A terrorist group claiming to be the leaders of a people who already have democratic franchise to choose their own leaders as it is global best practice regarded by UN, yet these same charlatans and usurpers of democratic franchise and constitutional legality would run to the very same global agencies that does not recognise their existence.

Like the IPOB reaction to the Kaduna ultimatum by Yerima, that all Igbos would be forced to leave the North.

They petitioned ICC and UN, claiming they are being targeted for genocide by a man that was only ensuring he helped them achieve their goal of leaving Nigeria.

What did they say? That they will consider anyone who comes out an enemy? Who doesnt have enemies in life? Did they say they will touch anybody? The group that has not touched anybody is your headache while there are several out there who killing people everyday.

This is why the international community doesn't take Nigeria serious. Words mean more to a Nigerian than action while actions means far more to the international community than words

Learn the lesson today, people care about action, not words.
You, Selemempe and Xander85 are what I would classify as educated hypocrites.

Can you take that quoted statement of the IPOB spokesman to the UN and ICC as a defence when the Nigerian army clamp down on the IPOB terrorists who would attempt to ensure compliance, by unleashing mayhem on those who are free citizens of Nigeria and have not surrendered their democratic franchise to a terrorist group?

Is that statement not a terror statement from a group that loves to pretend to be the victim when indeed they are the aggressors and tyrants within Igboland?

Nigerian Supremacists like you who do not know your place in a sovereign foreign country, is one of many reasons why some specific illegal foreign residents find it tough with local authorities who overlook the transgressions of the "humble Togolese"

Expansiate what ?. We give them power and gas . We own the major companies there. Most value properties and schools are owned and operated by Nigerians.

Should I go on ?
I visit Ghana frequently.

This arrogance and delusional regard of your significance to the Ghana economy is the very reason why the task force overlooks the Togolese traders and focus on the braggart Nigerian that does not even have the necessary legal papers that ECOWAS membership prescribes.

I know for a fact that a law had been put in place in the past to even limit the ownership of retail stores by foreigners (mostly ECOWAS) in Ghana.

No country would sit by and watch its own citizens displaced economically by aliens and economic refugees.

Every country welcomes foreign investments that would provide jobs for the local population, hence Nigerian companies are welcomed to come do such in Ghana just as you have the SouthAfrican MTN, Shoprite and Multichoice doing same in Nigeria and elsewhere.
But at no time should such companies feel they are doing their host country and people a favour, when profit as a business goal is being made by such firms, example is MTN making its greatest profits in Nigeria.

So despite the limitations that ECOWAS membership still allows every sovereign state to apply, most countries tend to overlook such limits and tolerate some prohibitions in the spirit of African brotherhood, but remember that the rules still exist to be exploited if the situation becomes dire.

Also remember that Nigeria was the one that deported about a million Ghanaians from Nigeria during the Shagari government for the economic benefit of Nigeria.

Ghana too will do what is of benefit to its economy and people, and preponderance of foreign retail shop ownership does not benefit any host country or its people.

Besides the workers salary debts, Aregbesola is the only salary owing governor that has a vast and diversified array of infrastructural development to point to as his legacy.

Fayose of Ekiti can't point to anything tangible, same for Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa or Yahaya Bello of Kogi.

If Aregbesola was not owing salaries, I would have regarded him as the best performing 2 term governor of his own set. So I rather vote him the best performing salary owing governor in the history of Nigeria.

Infrastructure wise, Aregbesola is an energizer bunny that never say die.
