myklangelo: I get where you are coming from... that is why we have tutorials there too for the speakers that are not yet very proficient. Also to master something, we practise it regularly, hope you get? The Ihe Nkuzi is helpful, but we are more concerned with bringing the language online in all ramifications alright, lemme check it out again. Checked it out bro, i think the nkuzi aspect should have an interactive aspect that helps learners inteprete in english. For instance when you have a passage in igbo there should be an english passage. That way the students can pick up. The other aspects can remain all igbo. That nkuazi part should help the students learn how to comprehend other aspects of the site. |

My point is that while it was very offensive to the Hausa people to parade the dog, its still under his rights as a citizen of Nigeri, a member of the UN.[/quote]i guess u dont understand the point in 'conduct likely' u acknowledge that what he did was offensive yet refuse to acknowledge the laws dat address that kind of action. I think thats hypocrisy. Why is he the only one being 'persecuted'. The article mentioned hausa section of the market...this imply theres an ibo section of the market, also implying the ino and hausa av been trading peacefuly for a while. In essence, witout this act of foolery and obviously an act to incite, we probably would never know of this market. Importantly, this regime didnt make d laws. Its been there since 1999. His ignorance is what he is paying for. I would like to believe there are other ibo members that own dogs in the market. I dont see dem in prison, cos dey avnt conducted themselves irresponsibly. Nigeria is an ethno/religious entity that is obvious enough, everyday we live through volatile situations, that a man should intentionaly stoke the embers of violence and destruction should not be taken lightly. Imagine if this had gone out of hand within the market, would this discussion be about chinakwe and his dog alone or about how hausas and ibos massacred each other in a market. Knowing ow deep our ethnic sentiments lay, ow long before the violence spreads beyond ogun state.
Pls lets stop arguing, i don tire to type. As Jesus used to say after his sermons, he who has ears, let him hear. |

AnonyNymous: No. That's not what happened. If you see my response to the person I quoted before, I said the only thing stopping them from doing such is because if theirbown safety. Fear that the black people would take matters in their own hands. You can see, in the article, people saying that they clearly felt offended by it. A KKK grandwizard even publicly supported it. I remember the time the thing happened, it was all over Instagram and other social media. The KKK have publicly made attempts to humiliate black people and nothing has been done to them, except the ones that actually become violent. All I see is this man staging a protest. What do you have to say about Westboro Baptist Church who constantly hold up anti-gay/anti-lesbian BURN IN HELL signboards at LGBT+ rallies and parades? They are all protected under freedom of expression. They reported to the police, but authorities told the media they were protected under freedom of speech. though u r not referencing from the article, i would respond from ur perspctive...u mentioned 'for their own safety' this simply means you acknowledge there is a chance peace or sanity is lost and violence occurs. Hence they took precautions, distributed at night. The law which chinakwe is charged of violating exists also for our own safety. Except you are intentionaly being insincere, u should know the group is more powerful than the individual. An individual kkk member wont go into a black dominated corner of the bronx or queens to show off his hatred...he wont survive, the police may not see his body. Even here in nigeria, as a group, a robbery gang or a cult may strike terror in the heart, but when they walk alone, they must respect themselves. That you have freedom of movement does not mean u move anywhere, there are sports u avoid for ur own safety, and the safety of others. True we enjoy certain freedoms, it does not give us rights to trample on other peoples sensitivities. I will end my comment wit a scenario. Please be fair and sincere in ur assesment of this. Imagine u and i are neighbours, u are married with a six months old baby, i ama bachelor who is care free and believes strongly that that constitution guarantees me freedom. So all day i am in party mood with my sound system. Afteral, i bought the system with my money i fuel my gen myself, as long as i dont put my speakers in ur room, it shouldnt be ur concern, however, i have a speaker just outside my bathroom which faces directly into your babys room so all day and through the night i am playing loud music (my business). You try resolving this with me tru talks but i only turn the music louder. How long before this case degenerates into violence? If u report me to the police and i am charged for a conduct likely to breach the peace would it be wrong? |

AnonyNymous: Well, here's a significant one that happened years back. http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/4268098 please, no offense intended. Go back to the facts of that article. The kkk had to distribute at night so that no one was seen in other words, there wasnt any white hater to be seen. I am sure u know wat wud av happened if they were caught sharing that flier. Secondly, a black pastor resident there felt offended by the fliers...now imagine noemal blacks wit no moral obligations ow dey wud av reacted. Thirdly they did report to the police about the incident, only in this case, they had no suspect, so u cant sue the fliers though it falls under free speech. Lastly, a kkk leader acknowledged that they didnt know it was a predominantly black neighbourhood...this coming from organised white supremacy groups....imagine if an individual decides to parade his hate for blacks by himself branding a monkey with the title blacks or even obama in that kind of neighbourhood what would really happen to him if caught. You dont owe me an answer, u owe urself the sincerity of this answer. |

robosky02: Olympics: Nigeria to meet Neymar's Brazil in quarter-finals Nigeria’s 1-0 victory over Sweden means they have sealed qualification to the quarter-finals of the Olympics men's football event and will emerge from Group B as leaders after establishing an unassailable lead at the top of the standings with six points and a +2 goal difference after Colombia's second draw against Japan on Sunday.
With their position as group leaders confirmed, Nigeria will face the second placed team in Group A consisting of Denmark, Brazil, Iraq, and South Africa. Although all four teams could still finish as runners-up, hosts Brazil are in second place as things stand and are poised to be Dream Team VI’s quarter-final opponents.
This current crop of Brazilian Olympians led by Neymar, are yet to find the back of the net after two goalless draws in their opening games against South Africa and Iraq.
With expectations high for the team to win Brazil’s first Olympic football gold medal, Neymar and co have been largely disappointing and should prove ideal opponents for Samson Siasia’s men....
