Most people live a sad existence so when they see situations like war that makes life even more meaningless, they are able to justify her miserable existence. It’s not just war that gives them that kick, any form of death especially multiple deaths gives them that kind of sensation. That’s why bad news makes it to the front page several times daily. People love bad news of others.

The problem with you Muslims is that you commit crime under excuse of another crime. Secondly, you see everyone who does not belong to your religion as Christians. Thirdly, Christianity is more complex than Islam because it's quite common to see just anyone call himself a Christian which of course if scrutinized never is. Even the devil disguises as a Christian. But as for Muslims, that's a terrorism organisation in the truest sense which is very evident.

The problem with people like you is that you see everyone who. believes that the people Of Gaza are humans and deserve freedom and justice as Muslim.the worst human being is he who calls himself a Christian and will gleefully Support injustice. What kind of Christian is that? It’s better to be an Atheist while supporting isreali evil than to claim to be a Christian who cheers on evil. Even Israel does not identify as Christians. Shame!

If you understood what I submitted, you wouldn’t have felt the need to disagree.

Firstly, i strongly believe that you would rather live in Nigeria rather than in the Amazon jungle. However, citing the Amazon actually confirms what I submitted initially. The survival of those people in ties to their local dialects. Majority of them are not looking to work outside of their clans and jungle. They produce their food locally so everything locally. Even they can tell apart from themselves who a ‘city boy’ is and who isn’t. But that is just the amazon. In the larger Brazil, to become anything tangible, you have to learn Portuguese otherwise you’d be restricted to menial jobs and favelas.

For China you can say the same with additional factors. Firstly, China is a self sufficient country, even we in far away Nigeria import from them. Their sufficiency is local enough to ensure that a person who doesn’t speak a foreign language can survive. The additional factor is that they are a homogenous people (mostly). If you travel throughout most of China, you only need to be able to speak Mandarin and most people you’d meet speak the same.

If you travel through Nigeria, you May need to learn a new language after every two villages.
Survival in the cities require that you understand a ‘universal’ language (English). Otherwise you’d be restricted to menial jobs.

Now imagine having an invention perhaps coded tech that’s useful for humanity let’s say something in the health sector capable of creating millions of jobs and it was coded in the Yoruba language, such that only people with sufficient knowledge in Yoruba can work in that sector can get around it and tap into its benefits either as users or as employees. There’d be a lot of people eager to learn and speak the local dialect because that’s what puts food on the table.

This is how we can save our languages. Tie it to our survival. People protect whatever puts food on their tables.

Many languages in the Amazon have been lost to this fact. Once food and land was taken away from many tribes and they were forced to work in places where if they don’t speak Portuguese they don’t feed themselves and their families, they started to lose their languages.

No serious job seeker will write an application letter in Yoruba except if it’s to be a Yoruba teacher. Which in turn means the language is essential to the person’s survival.

I hope that with this few points of mine, I have been able to convince you and not to confuse you that you didn’t need to disagree with my initial submission. Thank you.

I disagree. It is what you comsume that affects you. Those tribes in Amazon, are they speaking English?Are they not surviving? Do they interact with the world? It is when you are ashamed of yourself you begin to look outside. Do you think Chinese don't study English? They use their language first but learn English to work with outside world. Nigerians think everything revolves round English. What about French, Spanish. How do people work with them? Was it Hausa that they spoke before they came to steal our gold in zamfara?

People don’t get this thing you just said which is the truth. I still posted something similar recently. For the most part, our existence especially as adults is not hinged on being fluent in the local dialects. Getting a job often requires fluency in foreign language and proficiency in using their tools (machines and tech) whose manuals are of course not written in our local languages.

We have to engineer ways by which our productivity and sufficiency are intertwined with our use of indigenous language.

The present day Israel is the only way to save the Jews. If all Israelis were Muslims no single attack would have happened. Believe what you will. There are verifiable evidence that Christian nations and Christians have killed more people in the world than Muslims. The same USA that tells you that Hong Kong people throwing stones at police in China, in Iran, in Russia are peaceful protesters who are protesting oppression and repression but Palestinian children throwing stones at Isreali defense forces who constantly raid their homes are terrorists.

The same people who supported the apartheid regime in South Africa and want further ti label the ANC ( apolitical party for black South Africans fighting against oppression on their own land) a terrorist organization. The same people are the ones backing the apartheid regime in Isreal and you believe you are on the just side? The same people who labeled Nelson Mandela a terrorist even up until 2008 (9 years after he had been president of South Africa, a man who has won a Nobel prize for PEACE lol). You think it’s these people have any genuine moral compass?

It is also not a very good attempt to say that this is a religious war. For one, there are Islamic nation’s who do not give a hoot about wether or not Palestine sees another day. So they never send support both materially or even verbally. Also, the claim that every member of the isreali government are Jew is false. There have always been Muslims in the isreali government and there still are till this day.

Even here in Nigeria where are ibos are not refugees in Lagos imagine how they are treated as second class citizens. Imagine the bare faced discriminations. The reason they needed work permits to go to Isreal which is their land to work is because they are refugees. They are not becoming refugees. They have been for the last 7 decades. The accusations of apartheid is not coming from thin air.

Just like apartheid South Africa where blacks had to work permits to work on their land, Palestinians have to get permits to work.

Gaza has been a refugee camp for decades hence the walls.

Many posts about the timeline of violence and counter violence between Isreal and Palestinians have been made even on Nairaland. You cannot know and expect the consequences of their actions more than they do. While there are many who would develop Stockholm syndrome for their oppressors, there will always be those who will chose freedom or death.

Till date I keep thanking God and grateful it was a Sunday, where those bombs are kept where it started out exploding and CDSS Ikeja is just divided by a walk way, I had graduated from school when it happened but I remember majority of us pass that walkway from close of school to our different lesson classes and some to home and i was sure many still did then , I couldn't have imagined if it was during workday and in the afternoon or evening time like 5, it would have been horrific. Of course they couldn't use the School for years cos the destruction was too terrible.

you’ve explained it better. It was a real danger to return adults to that environment let alone students.

It happened on a Sunday. Ikeja cantonment Cdss had to relocate for a while. Not just for a day. The students could no longer school at the barracks during that period. So they were relocated to Anthony village.

Go to history and read it quite well. Israel was on exile and on their return only the small land where they exist now was left for them, which was even taken by force and given to them. This Palestinians don't want to see Israel exist in their midst like a dot in a circle. Religion and economic war now made it worse as where they occupy now rich due to tourism (Islamic and Christianity inclusive).

The conflict between Ukraine and Russia is not the same as the conflict between Israel and Palestine. The causes, dynamics, and solutions of the two conflicts are different and complex. You cannot use one conflict to justify or explain the other .

If you have an ounce of sense you want call fighting against your oppressors terrorism. Till this date Isreal continues to operate apartheid in Palestine. Palestinian people continue to die under Israeli weapons and boots but when Palestinian people organize and fight back under Hamas, it is terrorism.

Hamas is not a terrorist group like boko haram. Hamas seeks the freedom of its people from an apartheid oppressor called Isreal. Innocent children die regularly shot by Israeli soldiers, I never complain. Why should I be bothered that some form of retaliation is carried out. If Ukraine is entitled to fight back against Russia and even gets support in hundreds of billions just to hold their territory, why shouldn’t we back Palestine to protect its people?

Their only solution should be political and diplomatic.

Isreal is a thousand times stronger militarily than the next strongest country in the middle east.
Giving them the moral authority they need to finish off the Palestinians is not wise.

it’s not their only solution though especially since they have pursued dialogue and diplomacy for decades. The same people who applaud Ukraine for resisting Russia condemn Palestine for daring to dream.

As long as Palestine people believe that Isreal is their oppressor, the struggle cannot end especially when it continues to lol people on both sides, there’ll always be willing recruits who feel the need to ‘retaliate’ or fulfill the dreams of their forebears and fathers. Hamas is not a group of people, it is an idea.
