they should try and develop other state because Abuja is not Nigeria but the whole of others states put together.
tomorrow they would say Abuja is overpopulated,

why didn't they include UK (london) as part of the international numbers to be added on friends and family list? they simply know most Nigerians have more friends and relatives in the UK than USA & Canada.
MTN, what a wise dumb a.s.s!!!!

because it cost more to call UK mobile than the US and Canada. It makes more sense for their biz

@sulad82i
dats not true. are they not both 'international' (countries)?

From my hood in abuja, majority of us can't register as the DDC machines are miserably slow registering on 20 per day. we were told to come by 1am in the morning to register if we were in a hurry.
imagine that!
me leave my hamarttan bed that early for an ordinary registeration?

most crapberry users bought it under some influence by friends while others got theres simply because its classy.
a friend of mine (BB user) once told me the essence of her buying a bb was that each time she post anything on facebook that what trips her more is that the crapberry logo appears at the post. she uses a crapberry curve, a phone that's not even up to the cost of my former almighty N97 or any other nokia smartphones.lol
cool

Phones › Re: Why Are Many People Selling Or Dumping Their Blackberry? by timpaker(m): 11:09am On Jan 17, 2011
i use a nokia 5230 smartphone and it does all what crapberry does plus more.
this bb thing is just overhyped.
nokia smartphones has lots and lots of applications that will keep you busy all day.
finally, crapberry users are stingy (don't ask me how), besides this pinging thing is limited to bb users even if it means you've two bb friend users, that means you're stuck with them in pinging, isn't that boring?

we nigerians are hypocrites, i dont know when we will grow up.
what she did was mere acting and nothing more, people tend to misconstrue an actress role in movie and her normal life outside the scene, someone said its 'unafrican' and blah blah blah. i wanna ask this,
is kissing part of our so-called tradition of culture?(but we do it in our movies)
if it were to be a man that exposed his body in.a movie, will it be 'unafrican'?(Ernest Obi did it in a movie some couple of yrs ago and nobody said anything 'African')
The lady is a professional and she did her job well so why are we making it a sing-song?
bloody hypocrites!!!

Politics › Re: Happy 50th Independence To All Nigerians - Is It Worth It? by timpaker(m): 10:00am On Oct 01, 2010
Nigeria a country that has reached its menopause age, the age of the wise, is yet to show any sign of learning from the past. We still build castles in the air, still promising what we promised 50 years back, still wanting to patch and amend, still trying to solve an identified problem with which answers we already have. So de facto, Nigeria a country crawling from birth is yet to achieve its desirable development, at menopause yet unmarried.
The question now is, is the outragous amount brought out by our leaders worth spending on just a day celebration?

grin angry tongue most times i wonder how these our leaders get such disdainful thought from, picture this, how can you claim to have all sims registered but cannot merge them with a certain identity it is just like looking in a mirror but could not see any image, thus, if i were to register three of my sim cards with three different names will there be any form of identity to show that i am who i say i am? No!
Who are they fooling? I think the first thing is to get everyone's information on a data base.
Some nairalanders said in advance countries sims are registered, yes they are registered and so are the people, do we have that in Nigeria?
No!
Politics › Re: Prostitution Banned In Abuja by timpaker(m): 12:16pm On Jun 16, 2010
The incessant increace of prostitution in Abuja is spreading like wide fire at the peak of hammatan.
it has eaten deep into the city that streets/bus stops are named after it. such as "woman bokun junction in Kubwa ", Aristo street in Mpape, a satallite town at the back of maitama. others are Sharaton junction at Zone 4, Wuse II, which the politicians are the major patronizers. etc.

tpiah:
^^are you saying 70% of nigerian abuja ladies are p.rostitutes? huh
that answer can only be gotten from the minister of f.c.t.

Politics › Re: Goodnews - Corps Members To Earn Between N28,000 To N29,000 by timpaker(m): 1:06pm On Jun 12, 2010
evil666:
THE Director-Genral of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier-General Maharazu Tsiga, has assured that the Federal Government will look into better welfare and security for corps members posted to various states of the country.

The NYSC boss, speaking with journalists after the opening ceremony of the NYSC 2010 Batch “B” pre-orientation course workshop which was held on Wednesday at Maiduguri International Hotel, Borno State, on the need for increase in corps members allowances, assured that whatever he took to the president, in terms of welfare and security, would be looked into.

“When I observed this issue of welfare particularly, I wrote a letter to Salary and Wages Commission. I wrote a letter to them and not only the letter, I recommended that corps members’ allowances should be looked at, as Grade Level 7, Step 1, which is equivalent to about N28,000 to N29,000.

“I am assuring you that by the special grace of God, as the federal workers are getting increase in their salaries and allowances, the corps members are also going to gain more than even the workers,” he said.

The state governor, Alhaji Ali Modu Sheriff, also promised to improve on the welfare of corps members posted to various councils in the state.

Governor Sheriff said during his tour of the 27 local government areas of the state, he observed that corps members were doing well in their places of assignments, adding that he saw them everywhere, rendering services to the people in their locality.

The governor, who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Ambassador Baba Jidda, at the workshop, said the corps members deserved the best in return for their service in the state.

Governor Sheriff said he would continue to appreciate the achievements of the scheme in the state, while he also called on the Federal Government to reposition the scheme by ensuring better remuneration or allowances for corps members.

Rubbish! just months after my passing out that is when this dude wanna implement this.

well I overheard someone saying if they increased it, they would go back to NYSC and beg to be retained as a corper since there ain't any job around.
as least it is better than nothing.

Christianity Etc › Re: Why Do Nigerians Change Church So Often? by timpaker(m): 11:52am On Jun 09, 2010
Ganjaseed:
I rather have another opinion why people keep moving from one church to another. Only few of them are actually searching for the truth, but funny enough they have the truth in their hand "The BIBLE". Bellow you will fine some points why people keep exiting and coming in to churches.

1. Looking for miracle
2. Wanna belong to the happening church (example: so many of this kind of people are CEC)
3. Not getting recognition ( they move to be recognise in the new church)
4. Looking for freedom of worship (Like deeperlife where you can not dance and sing praises to God as a happy fellow)
5. Too much of Taxation from the the pulpit ( this very point is the most irritating one of them all)
6. misunderstanding among brethren.
you've said it all.

my concern is this, why can't a pastor serve under another pastor? they are always buzy giving birth to baby churches with funny names and marketing for members to fill in the empty plastic seats. giving rise to many muchroom churches.
In my street, out of nineteen (19) houses, twelve (12) are churches no wonder they named the street church street.
