afam4eva: There are also political and blood thirsty individuals that are looking for people to kill. Take away the anonymity and you won't want to mess with Beaf(PDP) or Ekoile(ACN). Na everyday we go just dey hear say nairalander don die. Btw, has the Chicago police discovered who killed Bawomolo? How did he die? |
Odunnu: Remove anonymity? Hell NO! I'll hate to wake up one morning with born2fork on my door.LOL. Or 190. |
The crazy NL tribalists would never give up their anonymity for anything in the world. By the way, what would you need my real names for? Facebook? LinkedIn? There are some people on this site, who I believe will have no qualms about revealing their identity. Siena for one. People who have nothing to hide or hide from. People prefer this anonymity thingy to unleash all these unimaginable hatred and meanness that they wouldn't attempt in real life. Utter fakeness that doesn't come close to being an avatar. Na una sabi. |
I've never been to any cinema my entire life My colleague went to Genesis cinema at the Shoprite mall Enugu and told me she paid only about N500? Or thereabouts. When I decided to go one saturday, they told me tickets were for N1,500. Didn't bother buying when I could get 3 good DVDs for that price. I'll still go one of these weekends. I just keep forgetting. Make I also experience these noise about big screens and sound effects. Everyone seems to say something nice about this Avengers movie. What's it about anyway? |
ZUBY77: My landlord is the best. He makes sure i eat whenever i am hungry. My wife said he comes to our apartment whenever he likes. My mother is fond of him. He is a big comic relief. He dont ask me for rent money. He makes sure there is water in the house always. The reason why he does all this things for me is because my landlord is ME.LOL. Wicked boy! Comic relief indeed. ![]() |
niceprof: please leave OFUCHE UKAOHA ALONE(SIGN FIREMAN) I KNOW D GUY WAY BACK IN FMC UMUAHIA I BELIEVE HE HAS PAID D PRICEReally? Was he a staff there? I'm familiar with the place. |
adonisgold: The can sue and be sued in civil mattersWhat do you mean by "civil matters"? Does it mean "they" cannot be held liable for a criminal act? Like Odi and Zaki-Biam massacre? I know one can sue the state or federal government, but you can't sue the person of the state Governor or President right? Even if that person is actually implicated in a tortious act? |
k10: You mean these guys can sue, but cant be sued while in power ? not fair !!!I was also asking the same question. Proponents of the immunity clause claim that the immunity shields them from having to go through time-wasting court cases and would save tax-payers monies that would have been spent on legal fees. Now isn't the Attorney-general (a government employee) supposed to represent the govt in court cases? So how does the said legal fees arise? And then a party cannot just bring the government to court if not for the reason that govt must have aggrieved said party? Does it now mean that a governor or the president can cause harm to another entity and go away with it? The governor or president can sue but cannot be sued? Common sense shows that that is morally and fundamentally wrong. That immunity clause in our constitution is a curse and as long as it is there, it serves as a constant reminder to people in power that they can do anything and get away with it. It fosters corruption. Honestly corruption is an institution in Nigeria. Sorry for speaking off topic. |
~Bluetooth:Do all doctors make that much money the way you make it sound? |
SimonAndal: And you're reporting this now? How long ago was the phone launched? Smh!Pally what's your issue na? The phone was released only today. Get your details right. http://www.informationweek.com/news/mobility/smart_phones/240001091?cid=fbook-informationweek&wc=4 |
Too bad that the next time I'd be hearing about her after a very long time, is to read about her death. Bad loss. Missed her presentation on Newsline. Where is Frank Olize by the way? Who knows? What's this by the way about popular news-women and spinsterhood. Same thing happened to Tokumbo Ajayi; dying single. Abike Dabiri married at a pretty advanced age, if I'm not mistaken. Is it that TV popularity alienates them from eligible suitors? |
cynthiasmart: What a nice phone. Andriod is still the best. People are just over-emphasized about BlackberryPlease don't let us get started on that again. If ignorance is bliss, let the BB users be. |
Rhino.5dm:LOL. If only you knew me. Your rants are funny sha. Kindly refrain from abusing me again. Just ignore this reply and pretend I don't exist. Ok? For your health's sake. Hating is bad and elavates the blood pressure. |
Rhino.5dm:Talking to me? I don't have your time. Look for a fellow crazy park tout to exchange words with. You'll find a lot of them here on NL. |
papatosibe: Humble D’banj, expressed his joy at the reception and success of his decade-long career which has earned his debut single in the UK, a place on the t0p 10 of the billboard chart.DBanj is not humble. I'm very certain of that. I really want to see him get on with it already. Oliver Twist was produced by Don Jazzy. All I've been reading, are dividends of a past effort. What's new please? I'm already tired of hearing Oliver Twist this, Oliver Strangled that. Gimme something new. |
I felt insulted when I read the part in the article where it said most people buy a BB for the reason of aspiration and creating the impression of having "arrived". Well, I'm not most people. And that is not the reason why I bought my BB and I'm sure a lot of other share the same thought. I was tired of hearing all the noise people kept making about the superiority of Androids, iOS and other OS over BB OS. iPhones are grossly over-priced and over-hyped. I had a bad experience with Samsung and the rest all look like China phones to me and so I got a Nokia N900. The fone has been a dead weight in my pocket. I tried browsing (which is my main interest in phones) and my entire credit was wiped out in a short time. I tried downloading Operamini v11 (there's only the Beta version for the fone). Didn't work. Conflict with the phone's Maemo 5 OS. Opera 6.5 won't download and as I discovered, there is no Opera mini version for N900. Anybody with a counter opinion should pls shout it. Now I hardly browse with the fone for fear of burning my credit and I'm back to relying on my BB. As far as I'm concerned, BB is the best phone for the majority of Nigerians. Not everyone is a phone geek, or gamer who has to constantly rely on phone cheats and tricks to get low-cost browsing. Let's call a spade a spade. |
sunch: I hope my yoruba sistas have improved by nowBro u harsh O. Coming back after 2 yrs to still ask how far. You neva chop any yoruba food since that time? That said, I used to think that they were poor cooks (stew with 50% oil, 40% pepper, 8% tomatoes and d rest I don't know what stuff) because none of the foods I tasted were palatable. Till I discovered one Buka where the woman cooks soups even better than some of the Igbo women around. I trip, truthfully. But that is an exception from my experiences. Most yoruba girls I've come across prefer to specialize in just Indomie and eggs. And that's bad in my opinion. |
Vain pride leads to the downfall of any man. For men who assume to be great, it is that illusion of being invincible and untouchable. Vain pride. |
Kayusfity: see how Imo girl come lagos come turn kidnapper. i dey always talk am say the IGBOS'S are rogues. Walking away from the igbo threadHer dad is from Ondo state and in you people's usual manner, abandoned the family after spawning that many kids from the poor woman. Are you that overwhelmingly dumb, illiterate and blind to read and comprehend a simple story? I see you have 2 equally illiterate bu.ffons tagging along with you. Ok. Sorry I forgot women are naturally the breadwinners and head of the home in your place. I've seen that a lot. No point in arguing with me. Mu.Mu. |
I don't ever bother about the naming ceremony. You shouldn't too. Simply introduce yourself thus: "I am Tinyemeka Gandoki Adedere". QED. |
egift: If he believes something is wrong with the Amalgamation = He believe the Amalgamation should not have taken place.Stop broadcasting illiteracy. Go back and read that original article again and again. This time with a dispassionate eye. You are truly seeing things that are not there. He never even said something was wrong with the amalgamation, as your new accusation now reads. See as person dey fail exam. |
afam4eva: Is Awolowo not from Ogun state(Ijebu) again?Awolowo is from Ikenne, not quite far from Sagamu, Ogun state. |
ayo5511: What is these okoros talking about? I didnt open this thread for you monkeys to jump into. And what do your states have to show for it? None of your top 3 states even has a single airport. Isn't that downright shameful? Agbepo! |
I was at Okwuato, Aboh Mbaise LGA about 3 weeks ago and saw that roads had been graded deep into the interior villages, sand had also been mobilized prior to the road construction. My younger brother (a civil engineer who had recently assisted in some road construction at Arondizogu and Okigwe area) told me that all local govt chairmen had been given a mandate by the Exec governor to go and construct at least 20km (I've forgotten the exact figure) of roads in their various councils. The state gov's technical committee would then come to inspect completed jobs done satisfactorily, before full payment was released. This I feel has prompted the simultaneous construction works going on in all LG councils. One thing I was taught in elementary agric science is that a major challenge to rural agriculture and industrialization, is poor road network and access to market. But of course all these arm-chair critics would never see that. Afterall, why should govt be wasting money constructing roads in the bush where people would hardly use them? Well the duration of my journey to that bush was considerably lessened by a full 15 mins, simply because the road had been graded. Now how would it be when that road is eventually tarred? The governor makes education free for all indigenes but NO, some people here have developed a diarrhoea and are unhappy with that policy. That why should it be free for everyone? Why not restrict it to a few gifted people? For goodness sake, education was made free for all and yet people are still complaining. When you find child-hawkers on the street who can't go to school because they can't afford the fees, these same critics would still be the first to blame the govt for not making education affordable for all. To all you arm-chair critics (I would still use the cliche again, BITE ME) who can never see anything good of a performing govt. all I can say is that you can all go and hang yourselves for all I care. Rochas or NL won't miss you but would still go on. One name (Kobojunkie) keeps popping up so religiously when it comes to being anti-govt and only making senseless comments that have no logic. I have tried severally to see reason with the person but no matter how I try to follow it's comments or understand it's point, it wanders off along another line of argument. Abagworo used to behave in an almost similar manner but he recently seems to now make his arguments based on hard facts and physical evidence. Not some disillusioned spouting fed by a runaway imagination that has no bearing whatsoever with reality on ground. Kobojunkie, re-assess yourself. |
Okija Priest: nwokem, please speak only of what you know about... rivers state felt the impact of amaechi as soon as he became governor... You strike me as a Rochas supporter hence lacking the ability to make unbiased assessment of his achievements... I honestly pray you are right, because most Imo State residents I have spoken with have said otherwise.. Also, Dede1 has repeatedly pointed out that he still pays tuition fees for his Umu azi's so what's happening with the free education bit...Which school does Dede1's children/wards attend? Private or Govt? |
Kobojunkie: Akala trains graduates in cab driving . . . that should work as an achievement right??You say "trains" graduates in cab driving. Pray tell, who is Akala? |

Merci. The thing has resolved itself. I wonder what happened. |
lekkie073: Then the church lied by saying moses wrote deuteronomy......I don't know. Where is it stated that Moses himself wrote the book of Deuteronomy? |
The little girl is covered and guarded by the precious Blood Of Jesus Christ! She shall come to no harm and shall be returned safely to her parents. I strongly suspect that the assailants had come initially, with the intention of robbing the household. And when they didn't get any valuables, they decided to take the girl as ransom for money to be demanded later. The poor woman quickly showed them where her children lay, probably to arouse their sympathy and encourage them to leave without further harm. The robbers instead saw an opportunity presented. |
9jadelta: (Rapist Monarch of Osun State) does that mean ...people in hight places in advance countries dont rape? or accused of rape?(remember kahns rape case in france) does that mean there are no kidnappings in the south east, New york, London or advance countries?.....does that make those countries or cities less accommodating?...they dont use all that to judge being accommodating...don't wanna be entangled in tribal bullshit.....but i don't think u have a pointMy problem lies wherein somebody tries to make his or her region seem superior to that of another. If my post pisses you, I want to know how you feel about the things said by that guy I quoted with regards to Igbos. Pally reason. And go through your text before posting next time. It took me some time to comprehend what you'd written. |
