all the new boys looked fantastic - voronin was MoM again, torres got two great chances at the end, babel had two sequences of brilliant footwork (although he tried to shoot from 20 yards after each one instead of passing, benayoun looked good and worked well on the right with kuyt - overall a very good showing by everyone - cannot wait for the season to start!

Hi Reds. its good to see fellow kopites on nairaland. Been a fan for along time now but i really feel this season will be a very interesting one. Wifeypenth, U couldnt have chosen a better time, trust me. We've played 3 pre season friendlies and won all three scoring 9 goals (3 each). Voronin's won man of the match in the two games he's played so far and scored 2 yesterday against werder bremen. Torres is set to start against auxere this week and after that we're off to Asia for the Barclays Trophy competition. So, lets keep our fingers crossed.

permit me to come into this war of words. Fans really shouldn't be blind (a little bias is ok). arsenal hasnt been wonderful but they've played great football. chelsea's been very good but i really cant remember a thrilling chelsea perfomance. ManU's been both good and fascinating but have no back up team. Liverpool for me has been a bit shaky but interesting and very proffessional. If I were a chelsea fan, i'll fall on myknees and pray that liverpool shows a little mercy tomorrow. who knows, ?
