oatzeal: There are CPC advertisements
There are CPM advertisements
......
Not necessarily google advertisement...
When you open a blog wit cost per click advert CPC , the blogger will not be paid until when you click the advert banner.
But for a blogger running an Impression CPM {cost per mile} advertisement, when you visit, of course the banner(s) will load and it will be assumed that you have seen the information on the banner. That's 1 impression. If the blogger has 4 banners like dat, 1 pageview is 4 ad impressions.
Once it reaches 1000impressions, they pay d blogger the Impression CPM . if the blogger can only achieve 300impressions in a day , that's 0.3 x impression CPM.
There s also CTR, click through rate : number of clicks / over number of impression
When your CTR is high, your CPM will be high , believing that the ad is relevant to pple visiting.
When the CTR is low, your CPM will be low, believing that the ad is irrelevant to visitors.

I was discussing with some people yesterday and we argued over the fact that blogs like nairaland, lindaikeji and so on make money from google when people just log on to their site without clicking any ad and I began to wonder if that is true.
So I would like to know from knowledgeable individuals if this is true.

Romance › Re: Why Marriage is a scam. by Toks2008(op): 2:09pm On Dec 24, 2016 |
LordReed: For sure we humans are treacherous but it doesn't make some things right. In marriage people should as much as possible be honest about their feelings and desires because unlike business contracts which have little to no sentiments attached, marriage has plenty of sentimentality attached. You shouldn't toy with people's feelings, don't say I love you when you don't mean it because that person is going to expect and demand for that love which you won't have because you never loved in the first place.
Can you marry for money, beauty, koboko, bedmatics, etc? Yes but let both parties be clear on their position. It is not an absurd idea, it has been so in our history. People have married for various reasons and have been clear about their positions. People just find it more convenient to be deceptive at the expense of someone else's emotions. I understand your sermon but your last sentence sums it up. |
Romance › Re: Why Marriage is a scam. by Toks2008(op): 1:42pm On Dec 24, 2016 |
LordReed: The saddest part of this opinion is that it sounds intelligent but is based on a faulty premise. The premise is that any contract is valid because both parties signed it. An analogy will be say there is no difference between a 419er and a bank because both of them collect your money based on expected future gains. That will be the height of naivety to believe such a premise. Any lawyer will tell you that contracts are invalidated once it is shown that any of the parties involved had no capacity to fulfill it. If you are entering a marriage without having the capacity to fulfill it, you are a scam.
Please go aboard and marry for papers then tell the official writing your certificate that you are marrying for papers whether they won't deport your nyash straight away. lol! same way she won't say she is marrying the man because of his koboko... |

Lol! investigator..anyways as a politician I have an open book policy to life which Is why I don't have skeleton in my closet. greenermodels: i guess you're right, but if her character was cool by me,then it would have been a case of loving for the sake of love which would have proved you wrong, i really loved her with or without her money but i couldn't take the daily quarrelling any more. we are exactly on the same page. This thread was created to explain some vital points to a certain moniker by name fortuneTeller who from no where came out strong on me accusing me of a "possible" scam marriage just because I considered an option of marrying a foreigner and till this moment I still can't wrap my head around the fact that some people can be so myopic to ever think that way. In this present day, guys scam people of good money while some ladies see a green card as a reason for scam..then I ask her.."are there not Nigerians who are still keeping their marital vow to a foreign lady even years after getting their green card through the lady they married?" There is something fundamentally wrong with the psyche of many people and they are always quick to read baseless sinister meaning to seemingly innocuous moves. Why do foreign ladies mostly marry black guys? OF COURSE FOR GOOD SX and does that not sound selfish to see a man as a potential intimacy gadget? then the guy marries the lady for nationality but along the line they could get on well and decide to grow old together but it does not change the fact that the condition that brought them together in the first place was selfish....this is the case with 9 out of 10 marital unions. |
