love her or hate her . . she is a political heavy weight. truth is, in politics only one thing matters . . . . popularity. and she's got it. if wisdom was the substance of politics, bush wont be president when kerry was an alternative. she's the greatest conservative politician in the US today. McCain is such a shadow. with all his experience and sacrifice. and this is a guy who would stand up to his party to vote his conscience. the kind of guy any poeple will want as their representative . . . but alas . . he is soo under pressure that he had to unashamedly go against all he stood for in the past grin . . . and the people wont mind . . . they will still vote for him . . . that should tell you one or two things about politics. it's not always about wisdom, intergrity or consistency but about popularity and popularity alone

underestimate palin at your own peril. i'm sure the white house knows that. they havent yet figured out how to handle palin.

@TOSHMANN, Intelligent and wise people talk because they have something to say but FOOLS LIKE YOU TALK because THEY HAVE TO SAY SOMETHING.read every other post below yours and see it makes sense but just urs not only sucks but equally stinks reflect on your remarks and derogatory post bout a distinguished president like this, really i cant absolutely blame you its due your illness (alzheimers /parkinson) this is now making your brain cell unstable and malfunctioning cant fully blame you much since you re hailing , PELE WA WA O.K SHIORRRRRRR.OMO ALE JATIJATI______factbox
mrs factbox
i guess this is the last response i'll give to an slowpoke. distinguished president? is that what he was to you?OMG. you can go ahead and abuse people who disagree with you, anyway that is what makes you inferior, now i know where your problem is. this guy was a distinguished president to you. i cant believe this.

i have watched newborn babies die in front of me bc there is no oxygen in the biggest hospital in the state, run by the fed govt, yep, on the same night i hear of billion naira contracts awarded to some crook in Abuja. i have been in the labor room at 11.00pm and NEPA struck and all we had was candle to complete a difficult delivery, i have seen a situation where emergency amputation was needed and the OR was locked bc the guy in charge has not been paid (though the govt has awarded huge contracts for hosting some stupid political event. i have watched people die bc doctors are on strike, or there is no gas for the generator to put the OR into use. i have seen nigerians who cant afford 100 naira to do the smallest thing for a sick child whose treatment may cost up to 100,000naira. when they say we have a broken healthcare system, it is not just statistics, it is real. human beings die. if my posts sound like some bitter fellow, it may be bc i am bitter. yes, I am bitter that people die of starvation in this country and nigeria wants to spend billions of dollars in hosting the commonwealth games. and this is just the health sector. it is the same in education, agriculture, employment, social infrastructure, power, security, even soccer. even soccer where in this world is yaradua doing well apart from going to europe and middle east to get treatment?
and yet, to you, he was a distinguished president. dont tell me it wasnt his fault or that he became president in 2007. they are all at fault. the PDP hoodlums, the political crooks (other parties included) i hate them and when any of them dies, I, toshmann the first, the great, the wise . . . will never cry for them. Never. and for you, he is a distinguished president.

you must be a complete idiot. this is pathetic.

you are cerebrally incompetent and morally bankrupt. people like you end up like this incompetent leader under whose misrule we just escaped. i wait for you to make an argument. but remember, sometimes it is better to keep quiet and let people think that you are a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Politics › Re: President Umaru Yar'adua Is Dead by toshmann(m): 6:04am On May 06, 2010
thousands of people die in that country every single day from preventible causes. mainly poverty associated causes. by the time you finish reading this post, a child has died somewhere from malaria(of all things).
by this time tomorow, a pregnant woman has lost her life somewhere in nigeria due to poverty or poor health services.
by this time next week, somebody has died from a motor vehicle accident due to bad roads which are bad bc somebody stole the money for it.

this man over saw an evil administration that nutured corruption to unprecedented levels in the history of nigeria. violence took a new tone. jos crises grew from annual event to monthly event. infact it was getting to a stage where killing somebody in jos is part of the culture. this govt did nothing serious to curb it. when poor people die, it is statistics.500 people died here . . . no, liar it was 200 and not 5000 . . oh no it was 300 . . .etc. poor people were buried in mass graves, some in a well, armed robbers went on rampage. the nation was dying and somebody felt it was his birthright to be president even when moribund.

i wont cry for him. he may have been a good father/husband/thief etc . . . for me, he was an incompetent president and the only prayer i can have now is the may we never have such a president again. AMEN

Ms Factbox,

when i observe people like you, i understand, quite sadly, why they say, every nation gets the govt it deserves. perhaps we deserve stupid govt in nigeria bc of people with ur thwarted and slavelike attitude. first of all, you abused me and abused me but did not make any valid points about what i posted.

this was a man who was in charge of a govt that saw hospitals abandoned while billions of our money was stolen and taken abroad. hundreds of thousands of nigerians have died in the past 2 yrs due to poor health facilities in our hospitals and yet when he was ill he went abroad for treatment. he didnt even think of developing at least one hospital at home where he will get treatment(and then others may benefit from it too. people like james ibori were free, people like aandoaka were in charge of justice, the nation was left without a leader for months and the vice president (another possible thief, we'll know soon) was not even allowed to take care of events. his wife was put in charge, total anarchy reigned and violence broke out here and there. what kind of pity would i have for this kind of person?

we begged him to resign and treat himself with out looted money he refused. stood firm  to destroy the country. this is what happens when you sit on people's progress. if the only way that people will be free is by ur elimination, so be it. and if the only way to be eliminated is death, why should i cry for such persons?

ur signature talks about God. what did the Bible say? when the wicked perish . . . . . the people rejoice.

what did my signature say?  . . . truth hurts
if you dont like it . . . . go f-ck yourself

let me guess the gap he left behind . . . undecided . . . he left a very rich and powerful wife, as well as very rich daughters, some of whom are married to rich and powerful governors. he has a rich mother and rich family members who will never have any problem money can solve.

now let me calculate the gap left by the death of those poor naijans who died in the various religious riots/ road accidents/ ill equipped hospitals/etc/etc/etc/

I cant, now i've started weeping for them . .
