Abiboss:
The lamest arguments I've heard against LGBTQ.

1. "Would you be alive if your dad had gotten married to a man or your mom had married a woman?"

Erm, this is of no consequence. I wouldn't exist so it wouldn't have mattered. ‍♂️

2. "Why are you supporting them. Are you gay?"

This is like asking a white guy why he's okay with black people, plus I'm not sure my sexuality requires validation. Gay people are human beings and their right to exist and live doesn't affect anyone else materially or physically.

3. "LGBTQ is immoral and evil. It is not in our culture."

So is fornication, according to some religions but nobody goes to jail for that. Isn't Nigeria meant to be a secular state? Also killing twins was part of some cultures here so what changed?

4. "The Bible says... God created man and woman, not man and man."

Okay, but you know some people don't believe in God or your own God, right? So why would you want to impose your religious beliefs - which are personal - as laws to govern the conduct of other adults?

5. "Why are you advocating for the importation of foreign values?"

You should read more. Not going too far back, Soyinka's 1965 'The Interpreters' had a gay character. At this time, LGBTQ rights really didnt exist abroad. Nobody is importing anything, they've always existed.

6. "Gay people are paedophiles."

You do realise that paedophilia is a crime that involves an adult of any gender sexually abusing a child of any gender, yeah? Now that you mention it, what do you think of child marriage? Isn't this paedophilia too?
Nigeria is a highly religious country, its either you accept or move out.

Most Northern African countries are also religious and they are developing fine.

Most Oil Arab countries are also religious and their economy keeps thriving.

You are free to Relocate to the Western countries, no one is stopping you.

Bukasint:
it's horrible that such thing would happen but I blame him for talking back to the National chairman on culture whatever. He should understand this country people don't love you especially when you are progressing...the only news that makes them happy is ones down fall only few people are after your success... Just your parents and siblings the rest are out to see your downfall. Baba didn't notice that on time but was busy shouting. At least he could have gone to invite people without making noise but he ended up shouting about it for two months plus and at the end millions wasted.
But Nigerian police are funny they said they came in directive of immoral act... Since when did they start looking into immorlaity affairs? This country is a joke and a big time joke. If one is getting robbed now and you call them what they will say is they are on special duty.... Even the worse kiddapers are on major road yet they do nothing but come after the did has been done.

If Nigeria is a reasonable and responsible country that understands the law and order by now Bobrisky will sue them heavily and get paid for damages but guess what hell no. He has not committed any single crime and if they feel he has they should have done something to him long time ago.
Such pathetic thing that happened to him. It's so horrible to invest heavily on something and get it scattered due to hatred. Most of you won't understand this.

Whether he is gay, trans or whatever that will not change others from being whatever they want to be. He is the least of the nations problem. The countries that haa legalised this things are the one progressing far better in all things.
If you haven't travelled out pls try and travel out you will get to know how useless your country has been. At least am talking from experience. Few counties in West Africa is a curse and Nigeria inclusive.
You are too naive.

Legalising gay or homosexuals doesn't determine if a country will go far.

There are Rules and Regulations in the country.

He/she souls abide by them.

1. The word is retracted.

2. Debit card, not "ATM card". After all, you use it on other terminals that are not ATMs.

3. If it is an on-us transaction, then your bank (irrespective of the branch) should give you your debit card immediately.

4. If it is a remote-on-us transaction, the other bank owes you nothing. Direct your grievance to CBN.

5. I agree with you, it is a very harsh decision. I wonder what they were thinking, I wonder their reason too. I will ask around.

6. This is 2019, it is not a herculean task to get a debit card. Banks have instant cards, they can even emboss your "guy name" on it for you. grin

ProgrammingRe: Ten Things Non-programmers Should Know About Programmers by tosinhtml: 9:25am On Jun 02, 2016
ysd01:
2. No one is naturally talented at programming. The next time someone claims that programming is in their DNA, ask them, "What did your ancestors encounter on the savannah that gave them this very specific genetic adaptation?"

3. Programming is one of the most common jobs people have these days, and soon it will be the most common job of all.

5. If you haven't built a sizeable project, you can't program. If you say 'I've learned programming, but can't make a program', then you haven't learned programming. The only measure of programming is the ability to make programs.
Well, i guess you shouldn't believe everything you read online.

2. For your info, people are talented in programming. In the same way that some people are 'born with a talent for basketball' because traits like height have a heritable component.

According to the theory of multiple intelligences, some people are 'born with a higher IQ'.

If you think that people like Linus Torvalds, James Gosling or Bjarne Stroustrup have the same IQ as normal person, then you must be joking.

3. Programming won't become the most common of all, programming is hard and stressful for a lot of people, If you gather 30 people in a class and teach them programming for 1 year, i bet you, only 5 will actually learn it and continue as a career. 25 people will stop by the way and go and do something else. I am talking from experience.

5. Whether you have built a sizeable project or not, you can still program, I clearly know of someone that only did Coding challenges and Algorithms, and he was so good. He never wrote any full sizeable project, And he his an intern in facebook now. he writes C++.

Its actually hard to become a facebook intern, its like real work. You will go thru the same interview process.

Stop calling for my head guys.
It is a well known "fact" that u guys tag any girl u find it easy to sleep with "a hoe".
U guys wants easy sex but disregard d girl after it.

Serious minded men will love and wive u if u "do not" give them easy sex.
Not to attack you on this, but being hard to get doesn't make you more Valuable to people like me.

You know why?

Answer: Your value to mr A , isn't the same value to mr B. It may take mr A one week to bleep you and you may still be playing hard to get for mr B, just because mr B is not your type or isn't Cute enough or simply doesn't posses the features you admire.

There is nothing like hard to get, when you see a guy you like, He can bleep you in 1 week and there is nothing you can do, because he has everything you want in a guy.

So the solution is , Don't chase after Ladies or Guys that are out of your league, you can't make them love you.

ok, so Yii2 totally eliminates the CDbCriteria ??
ProgrammingRe: Yii2 Rest API Question by tosinhtml: 9:40am On May 13, 2016
well, as far as i can remember, i use findAll instead of findOne

$model=new Countries;

$criteria = new CDbCriteria();
$count=Countries::model()->count($criteria);
$pages=new CPagination($count);

//Optional - if you choose to add conditions if column value is greater than another value
$example_value = //value
$criteria->condition = 'example_column > =:example_value';
$criteria->params = array(':example_value'=>$example_value );

// results per page
$pages->pageSize=20;
$pages->applyLimit($criteria);
$models=Countries::model()->findAll($criteria);

return $this->render('index',
array(
'models'=>$models,
'pages' => $pages,
'count' => $count
));

Hello Nairalanders,

I am an individual with lofty ideas but do not know how to code.
If you don't know how to code and you have a great idea. So why don't you just go over to Elance or Devcenter and pay someone to implement your idea.

Why wait for partnership? Or are you not convinced about the idea yourself?

As a matter of fact, good developers already have tons of personal/side projects they work on. So even if you find someone to apply for your idea, you should be curious why this developer isn't too busy already. (Just being honest with you )

Of course! On the playstore just search for 'slumbook' That's what its called. Not sure I'm allowed to post the link here and don't want to be kicked off.
Any feedback will be great
I just checked It out, I personally think the app is Cool & fun to use!, but noticed 2 things

1. Could you reduce the size of the apk (29MB is quite large) ...perhaps compress your images and re-build it.
2. I noticed the app requires Android 4.1 and up, could you make It require 4.0 upwards...Some users still use old tablets and phones, please take note.

ProgrammingRe: Is There A Market For A Nigerian Social Media App ?? by tosinhtml: 3:55pm On Jan 04, 2016
Question: Is there a market for Nigerian social media app?
Simple answer: NO.

Not to discourage you but there are already so many great social media apps out there with no recognition, and I'm sure there are better ideas to invest time on than a social media app.

But Since you are almost thru with your app, don't stop. You can still release it to the public and gradually watch how they respond to it.
