McLuhan: Being an award-winning author herself, Adichie should not have yielded to the temptation of belittling the Caine Prize. One can be forgiven for thinking that she did so because she wasn't considered for the prize. lt's called sour grapes - an attitude in which someone pretends to despise something because they cannot have it themselves. At the same time, I deplore the vitriolic and uncouth language that I see in Ibrahim's tweets. Both of them have behaved in equally inelegant ways.well spoken |

Most probably a case of postnatal depression. Even in the most advanced countries in the world, sometimes the signs are missed or totally ignored. Do we have the resources to spot and treat such women who fall into such depression? RIP lady what nightmare for the child who woke up by 2am to see a dangling body.oh the stuff of nightmares which only goes to show a mother in her right sense would never have put her child through that. definitely a case of depression A sad case that comes to mind was the incident that took place last year in the UK where the woman (Felicia Boot) killed her 2 children. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-20136443 |

Can this couple be left alone please. By the way are they deeper life members? Just because he is Kumuyi's son does not mean he (John) should be a deeper life member. |
ALWAYS ON POINT DARLING |
As long as a human being died because of their direct actions whether they killed that person or not or if it was done by the special forces who came to rescue, i blame the four men. You killed a man to save another (who eventually died)you are cowards to me. Funny enough this is the first time, i am hearing of this kidnapping story. ![]() |

Dont mind them. Do you know how many times they ruined my name on public documents even in NIGERIA MY DEAR COUNTRY. All my days at the university, my name was wrongly spelt. exam paper, school id card, results you name it. i kept on correcting and filling unending correction forms every blessed level i entered. Finally when the certificate came out guess what ![]() ![]() ![]() wrong name again. I wept like a baby that day and just sat outside their office crying loudly (oh i had to show that document the next day or else i would not have gone for my NYSC) Kai i suffer that time sha. Oh may we not have issues with important documents having k leg in Nigeria |
druid06: Once in Rome, you behave like a Roman. The lady in question intentionally disregarded the law in France. Full veil are banned for Muslim women in France, so walking late in the night while pregnant amongst the tension that has been building up against Muslims in the western world was not the right decision she made. I am not in anyway justifying the actions of those blood thirsty mongers that attacked her and her unborn child but she inadvertly brought this ordeal to herself. The public sale and consumption of alcohol or other alcoholic beverages are banned in Dubai, you don't see westerners there publicly consuming alcohol publicly. If westerners in Islamic country could bend down low to obey the laws of their land, why couldn't she?I'm afraid i find myself having to agree with you on this note. when people go to a predominantly Muslim country, they BEHAVE themselves. you don't misbehave, commit adultery, openly kiss or smooch in some of these places and people obey. when they don't you read sorry stories of people in jail for kissing or something else which most people would consider petty. in the same vein, these Muslims have to respect the law in these foreign country they wish to live in. you just got to. the french are fast losing patience, they may not be right but hey dont forget IT IS THEIR COUNTRY. You dont like it, get a one way ticket back to your father land. my sincere condolence |
