some fellow called jayon was crying and cursing over the thread. https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-152561.0.html He felt bad that his role models were being questioned rather than worshipped. A quick check of the guy's general posts here on nairaland, revealed a hypocrite and liar of the highest order. As is usual with such idolaters, he's more concerned about the reputation of his favorite Men of God, than he is about his own. Na today? |
besides, Nigerians are currently competing with AAs anyway, for the whining trophy. na Nigerians dey whine pass. ![]() maybe an additional thread title should be: Nigerians: A bunch of whiners or Are Their Grievances Justified? Kobojunkie also deserves his own thread in the same vein. ![]() |
true, the Nigeran police force needs a lot of improvement. In the meantime, if a police officer asks you to open your wallet, whats the big deal there? You want to prove stubborn over a wallet and risk getting yourself in unnecessary trouble? am asking because even abroad a police officer can also ask you to empty the contents of your wallet. |
quite true. Some blacks even came in with the Romans. though their traces ought to have vanished by now. |
these nairaland people sha. Has anyone here ever heard of SUNDAY ADELAJA. who wasnt able to attend any church for eight or so years, because he was in the Soviet Union where religion was banned. Today he has a church with over 10,000 members. Am not saying people should stay away from church, but all the fake exorcists and whatnots here, would you rain thunder and lightning on Sunday Adelaja if you'd known him when he wasnt attending church? Why do people put common sense on the back burner, especially with all the educated Nigerians all over the place? You people forget you are NOT God. ![]() |
royalicon:true sha. Nairaland will be taken over by Nigerians abroad. |
creamkele: are you starting a new religion? ![]() Looking at Nigeria with your two physical eyes, and not the imaginary third one- which part of the country resembles a garden of Eden? |
@ Tasma: what I asked was if it's possible for a spiritual person to still lack knowledge. What I meant by this is that it's possible for a person to be spiritual and still cause harm from lack of knowledge.Yes, its very possible to be spiritual but still lack knowledge. A very tragic example is the recent generator mishap where so many people lost their lives because they didnt know the dangers of inadequate ventilation when using a generator. I'm surprised no one has raised the question yet of why God didnt prevent it from happening- after all, they were all there for a prayer meeting/exorcism/deliverance session. May they RIP. I dont know of any single recorded instance where Jesus told his followers to abandon common sense for mumbo-jumbo, the way many people here on Nairaland especially, misread, misquote and misyarn whenever they think they have the key to heaven's gate. ![]() Neither is anyone querying why, with all the religiousness in Nigeria, corruption is still so deeply entrenched in the society. People are abusing the civil leaders but crying and cursing whenever their favorite religious figures are queried. Even the ones fleeing the country as a result of poverty, will still insist there's nothing wrong with religion in Nigeria. ![]() |
see Olabawale fervently proselytizing or is it evangelizing, since this morning. ![]() |
Kobojunkie:look, no need to beat around the bush. If you fancy the 17 year old lady, just say so. You're a grown man. Am not the one trying to catch someone's attention, so dont make it about me. |
ah, I dey here dey yarn oh. ![]() as jayon dey disown the bedmates wey im go still shag during the week. ![]() |
sure. You're too holy, I know. You fit be pastor sef. ![]() |
@ kobojunkie; they are toasting each other. ![]() if you're jealous, say so. |
jayon, you cant be serious. ![]() Dont you need to look at your own life, before preaching to others. Your main priority should be how to reduce the amount of money you're spending on condoms, since you're so religious. Maybe you can start saving for a jet or something similar, who knows. its people like you who make others distrust religious figures. |
oh please. The world is not becoming increasingly atheistic. And even if it were, as long as there are human beings, there will always be religion. |
jayon:am sure you are. But I hope you dont mind if one of your sex partners begins to rain curses on you, after finding out you claim to be a religious zealot who also happens to jump on anything female. Not to mention 419. If many of your so called men of God, who are also your role models, are like you- openly sanctimonious but secretly devilish, is it any wonder people are pointing out the discrepancy. Do you know what many have seen and experienced at the hands of some of these people? Since some of your religious leaders are maybe the ones setting the example for you to be ashawo in secret and preacher in public, is it any wonder some folks are declaring jihad in the name of pastor. ![]() Nonsense. |
hmm. Are they taking that serious? I just dont have any interest in their topics, otherwise they would have seen me there. |
fyneguy: go back and reread your post. I'm not your pastor obviously, so you don't need to listen to any view contradicting your own juvenile one. ![]() Now, with all your shouting here, please show us your own jet which God gave you as a result of your great faith and understanding of the bible. ![]() |
I cant even remember the general prices of things without concentrating hard . The only one I seem to recollect is bread @ 50 kobo, then later five naira. 25 kobo candy, N5 coke, I think. And my dad's friend buying a brand new peugeot 504 @ N5000, back in the day.Inflation is worldwide though. Plenty of people in the US can recall buying gas/fuel at 40 cents a gallon. Later, after prices rose, filling the tank with $15 or less (at about $2.00 or so pg). Today its $4.00 and above per gallon. @ topic: the best president Nigeria ever had, hasnt been born, and will never be born. Because no matter what, most Nigerians will never see something good in anything that comes out of Nigeria. |
who says the mus'lim section is off limits to everyone else? Were you barred from posting there? just asking. |

rev lanre:look at this one. ![]() @ fyneguy the issue is clear - Poverty mentality. If Jesus became poor that I might be rich and I still clung on to poverty, then I had made Him suffer for nothing.do you even understand what you're saying? anyway, people need to cool tempers. I wonder if any of the pastors you're fighting holy war over, would fight for you in a similar situation. Like they even know your name or who you are. Rather than worship the pastor, better work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Isnt that what the bible says? |
no one has to keep their tribal marks in this day and age. Plastic surgery can remove them. |
People's views of America/African Americans are influenced by where they live. Jakumo must have schooled in a majority white area. And yes, Asians are high achievers in the US. The demographics are very high in all the professional fields. Quite impressive, really. A lot of AAs are middle to upper class, but a huge number are also lower income. Many Nigerians in the US tend to live among the lower income AAs (ie the Nigerians living in black neighborhoods). So that shapes their views about them. anyway, I dont know if the complaints are justified or not. AAs and whites are related both by blood and by geography. So there's bound to be disillusionment at some point. Though its not an excuse to blame every single personal frustration on whites. |
webdezzi:@ bolded: quite true, actually. webdezzi:rofl. ![]() You sound like this oyibo teacher back home. Whenever the students trampled on her garden (and maybe she was just irritable for some reason), she'd get furious and start yelling about how Africans dont know what flowers are. |
Ijiji1:am sure you'll feel differently the day she directs her attacks at your tribe. ![]() She's making her contempt for Nigerians clear enough. Yet people are still very courteous and not responding in kind. |
abi oh. |
SeanT21:oh, that's all you care about? ![]() Is it by force to post on this thread? @ kobojunkie: no need to make yourself look stupid. Minimize the ass licking plz. Dont know why you're pretending not to understand what this is about. |
SeanT21:you may want to go show her some support on this site: http://www.liberianforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1347here's another complaint from a Zimbabwean woman: The Liberian leader also makes it look like Liberia ran the best election after the brutal civil war. According to a report by the Carter Centre and the National Democratic Institute, "One of the most significant complaints was brought by the Liberty Party, on behalf of presidential aspirant Charles Brumskine, who came in third place in the presidential race.at least you'll be discussing something you actually have some level of familiarity with, unlike what you're doing on this thread. ![]() |
Head On Apply directly to your forehead. Proactive (no need for the close ups of Jessica Simpson, P Diddy and others) |
SeanT21: open a thread for people to discuss the Liberian president, and events in Liberia. Thank you. |
