Opensource has been the neck witch to major Product companies . Elon Musk was one of the early founders of the company. As I read, he left when they decided to make it open source and Microsoft Invested $1b into it(they had their own interest, no surprise to Copilot on github).

Unfortunately, chatGPT would become a paid service very soon. There are other products by openai which are fully paid for.

GitHub copilot started as a free trial before they locked it up behind a paywall after we have used our codes to finetune its training.

It initially painted Lugard as a good guy but I questioned it based on the logic of responsibility. It first denied Lugard gave explicit orders to massacre the Sokoto indigenes but had to agreement that Lugard led the expedition so would have given the orders. It finally concluded that Lugard was responsible for giving the orders

I also asked it about the Uli strip. It first denied that a strip called Uli ever existed. So i asked it about Annabelle (which was the code name for the air strip) and its eventual capture by the federal forces. It then agreed that truly, Uli strip existed.

Unfortunately, it has been getting slower lately and i hope the servers are ramped up as this tech would replace Google search very soon.

This scam is as old as ‘guyman’ business in Nigeria.

They will even take you to ‘their’ warehouse in Apapa where rice is being bagged.

If you pay them, that’s the end. If you go back to the warehouse, they will tell you that those names dont work there.

I got to know of these scams from my days as a banker on the streets of lagos. I saved a couple of business men and women who were almost scammed.

One scam is that you have won $25,000 USD in a lottery but you must pay $200 USD for data processing. The scam is a chain and you will continue paying. What pained me with this scam is that i met an old man whose idiotic son kept bringing to the bank to transfer funds to these scammers. I told them but the son insisted that i was not enlightened. The shocker was that the old man told me to go and pray for a similar success and not block his son’s own. They sent over $2,000 in bits before I didn’t see them again.

I can be working on a file on my Samsung phone and continue with it on any windows laptop and vice versa. Galaxy gears work seamlessly too this same way apple watch work with airpords and all. Except you design your OSes and hardware yourself, with the ecosystem as an explicit design language, you cannot have that level of integration.

Samsung does not run its OS. It is either running Android or Windows (or linux in some instances).

Windows and Android are like those big shirts that are sold during christmas that can size everyone in the family but fits no one.

Apple hardware and softwares are custom-designed.

This is also why some Androids need 8gb RAM to even breathe while IOS would work perfectly with 2gb.
