Surely it will come up on your interview. is not too late to get your Divorce certificate. you Applied as Married then and now you are applying as single. the only thing that Proof that is a Divorce Certificate. in my case i Paid the Bride price but no court paper or any legal documents that shows we are married. but Embassy Recognized Pride price as a legal marriage. when the whole thing did not work out i went to Magistrate Court to obtained a Divorce certificate not fake and not back door. while on visit in USA i met my new wife and we got married here in USA. and after marriage i went back to my Base. and she filed for me..... i visited US 4 times and each visit i spend 3 weeks, i just relocated this year February...........but the Interveners in Nigeria will scrutinize your Document for sure. they always look for mistake....but if you are applying from a first world country then no issues

They are not always looking for mistakes, they are looking for cases of deliberate misrepresentation, such as is the case you are responding to. This is endemic with us... we cannot be trusted to tell the truth, largely because we have a country where obtaining fraudulent documents is easy because of our poor record keeping. In first world countries, records can be easily verified so it is harder to lie. That is why it is easier for them.

Everyone is asking her to go get a divorce decree, but at no point did she tell us she was ever dating, engaged or married to anyone. So exactly who is she getting a divorce from? It is most likely she put "married" because she thought she could use that to show "home ties". There is a lot she is leaving out of her story... for example, what happened at her non-immigrant visa interview? Was she asked about her marriage? How did she answer? All these are in her records... just getting a clearly false divorce decree wont solve her problem.

Let me cut to the chase. You will be denied at your interview. You basically lied in order to obtain an immigration benefit... they will ask you why you are single and if you cannot produce a valid divorce decree, you're basically toast.

Not possible. As long as you have your child's birth certificate, you should be able to apply for his passport much later when you have all the necessary documents.

Can I get a doctor’s report from Texas in other to get a visa, then use it to visit Colorado(where my family stays), cos it’s been difficult getting a doctor there, and I would like to stay with them.

I got to US with a student visa in 2016, in 2018 I invited my mum and my brother for my graduation(infront of the VO my brother forgot my course of study so he said I was studying accounting I think and my mum said no he’s studying healthcare Management) red flag � so they were denied.
Boom 2019 I got him an MBA admission he went for a student visa twice or three times stating my mum is gonna be his sponsor.
Now my mum retired and I wanna sponsor him now.I was thinking of changing his MBA to MSc political science or should he still maintain the same MBA admission from another school. In 2019 I got a temporary two years greencard card then I joined the military so I became a citizen. I could file a greencard petition for him but it will take 5-8years because he’s above 21years. So my immigration status have nothing to do with him.

My guess is the problem is your brother. The fact that you are the one doing all the leg work for him, that he can't remember what course you are studying... makes it clear he really isn't a serious student and this is just a way for him to immigrate to the US. The VOs probably sensed that right away. He needs to take charge of his own destiny. Besides, not every sibling will find a way to get into the US.

You should not write 3 reference letters yourself, get 3 people who can serve as your references and get them to write it for you. I will also advise you write your SOP yourself. There is no place to hide when it comes to a foreign education so you might as well start practicing now.

You don't have an invitation to the US, you have a worthless piece of paper that will make zero difference when you go for your interview.

Your employment is not a strong enough home tie. Unless you're in an executive job that pays you millions a month or a high-ranking[b][/b] government official, you can easily find a higher-paying job illegally in the US. This is especially important because you are traveling with your REAL HOME TIES - your wife and kids.

He said he would State that he's hosting us and taking care of the bills. I'm employed and would include my bank statement

1. Is this application good at this time, considering the backlogs?
2. Is my employment status enough as home tie?
3. What documents are of utmost importance?

That is irrelevant. The visa officer only cares about you.

I have a friend who entered the US in September 2021 but his visa will expire in November 2021 and he was given 6 months to stay at the port of entry which is till next year and he will like to stay in US for five months . Should he stay for the five months since he has a six months stay (with expired visa) or should he return to Nigeria before his visa expiration?


Note: He doesn’t want to overstay

Just because your friend was granted 6 months by CBP doesn’t mean he should stay 5 months. How long he claimed he was visiting for when applying for his visa is what is key. If he said weeks and he’s staying 5 months, that’s a problem. Renewing his visa will be a problem.

The club has mostly EU players, it may not have occurred to them to consider that a Nigerian player would need a visa to enter Poland. The player bears some responsibility here.

Houmas house is very beautiful, great food as well... but its like no slaves ever lived there. That part is somehow minimized. Absolutely loved the NOLA foodie scene - sea food, best grits i ever ate, beignets, gumbo... name it!

Not sure where next, we are having a baby in 2 months so looks like travel is off the menu for the next year! Looking forward to resuming this once the kiddo is a year old at least.

YES friend, you should definitely go and visit the The Whitney Plantation. It’s emotional yet educational and inspirational. Finally a museum from the victims point of view. We were so grateful and happy we went. One of the highlights of my trip!

Houston isn’t too far away from NOLA, plus they got amazing food, some of the best live jazz bands playing everyday and a lit nightlife! Oooooo Bourbon street is an adventure in itself!

We did the NOLA trip this summer. You are absolutely correct, the Whitney plantation was the best experience on our trip. The Laura plantation was also good but more because we had an excellent guide. Houmas house has the best food on the plantation tour IMO. Just check out the short rib and grits.

Simple - children from poor homes have to be more selective in what they study - it is the difference between perpetuating the poverty they grew up with or attaining at least a middle-class lifestyle.

Children of the rich already have all they would ever want. That gives them the liberty to pursue anything they want.

Children of the rich pursue their hobbies, children of the poor pursue a path out of poverty.

ALL international students are presumed "full time". DO NOT use the words part time anywhere in the process until you're on ground. Good luck.

Presumed suggests you have an option... being full time on a student visa is a requirement of your visa.

Actually I will be staying in my sponsors place who stays at Maryland also….. but I think it’s better i just indicate that I would be staying in the hostel maybe it would increase the chancing of getting the Admission but knowing quite well I won’t stay.

Question no 2 …. Should i indicate that I would be full time or part time student…. If been a full time student can I work cos I would like to work instead of depending on my Sponsor alone…

Basically lying... whether you stay on campus or not does not impact your chances of getting admission.
