There is this guy, we dated for 2 years before he traveled abroad (Italy) 2019. Our relationship was going on well even when he traveled out, we were always calling each other on video calls everyday. I was so faithful to him.

Suddenly (last year March), he started avoiding me. He could go for months before he replies my calls or chats.
Atleast no matter how busy you are, you can always spare 1 minutes of your time with the person you claim you love.

Please note, he's always online, We do video calls mostly on WhatsApp and anytime I try to reach him on video call or send him a message.... it always ring and deliver but he won't pick or reply.

Here are my reasons why I'm so confused whether to move on with my life or not.

1) Although before he started avoiding my calls, he told me he was busy... that he was working on something (but he never disclosed the particular "thing" to me)

2) We were supposed to get married as planned last year August. But this is May 2022 and absolutely nothing is in progress about it.

3)I discussed with his friend about it and he told me he's in a relationships over there. (I don't know if to believe him or not, because he didn't show me proof)

Now, it been a year I'm enduring his character. I feel like I'm stuck alone in this relationship. Heaven knows I haven't offended him in any way. I wish he could open up to me and tell me what I was doing wrong so that I could adjust. OR he should just tell me he's in a relationship so that I could move on.

I plan visiting his elder sister this weekend and explain to her the issue on ground but on a second thought I think I'm too forward. I'm jst confused and I feel hurt.

If that is God’s wish, so be it. God uses people to pay for our wrongdoings. That decision for the consequences of my wrongdoing is not for me to take. God will never ask, ‘how do you want to be punished for your wrongdoing’? But He still uses other human beings to mete out punishment if He so wishes.

In my opinion, if rapists and sexual perverts are caught in the act, they deserve the same or worse treatment.
As long as you are not caught or flaunt it in my face, you don't deserve my judgement (God will do the judgement of the hidden). If you do, you get what is coming.
I think we get the context of the teaching of Jesus on the adulterous woman saga wrong. In my opinion, the teaching was more on the hypocrisy of selective justice than turning a blind eye to wrong. We need to ask, where was the man who committed the adultery with the woman in the story? That in the main point in that experience.

At least Jesus himself flogged the money changers in the temple in his days. He did not ignore it and ask God to judge them. He took action for change. Jesus was not a law enforcement officer, was He? He was a civillian who flogged fellow civillians and scathered their goods in a public place.

Do you think I support gay or cross dressers? Certainly not. But it is not your responsibility to assault them. The truth is that some of those assaulting them are also rapist and sexual pervert. You don't throw stones when you live in a glass house.

You remember the story of the woman caught in the very act of adultery and how Jesus saved her from being mobbed.

Where the law is toothless the people can take action.
There is a law in Nigeria that forbids public display of being gay. Sadly, if the law enforcers chose not to enforce such laws, they leave room for mob action.
This is not who we are as Nigerians. I do not know any Nigerian custom and tradition that accommodates being homosexual. If we want to choose something from the West to add to our custom and traditions, it should be positives like rights for women, abolishing genital mutilation , abolishing human sacrifice or social welfare, NOT homosexuality and public display of an unnatural human behavior.

There is a marked difference between reprimanding someone and physically assaulting someone.

That is why there is PG rating on TV and internet restrictions for kids. TO PROTECT THEM!
So if your kids comes home to say individuals in his school were nude, teaching obscenity or having sex publicly in front of him, we shouldn’t reprimand those doing these in front of kids? We should ask you to just go & continue teaching your kids? As adults we expose ourselves to nudity and sex without consequences, but where kids can be exposed, it becomes unacceptable.
I don’t think that is the right thing to do. Those who expose kids and the easily misled adults in our society to dysfunctional behavior should be severely reprimanded.

What about what your kids watch online and on TV? Your business is to train your kids in the ways of the Lord. You don't have the moral or legal right to infringe on other people's life.

One day it will backfire. If the person harassed has a gun, he might be forced to shoot in self defense. And you will ask yourself, who sent me.

It is a threat to my kids and other young minds. Their developing mind is exposed to unnatural biases in a public space.

I don't care if he dresses like a mad man or goes naked in the privacy of his home, but once he comes into public space where young undeveloped minds can be exposed to him and influenced by him? It becomes my business.

I disagree with you on your comment that citizens cannot take the law into their hands.
Even in the West, there is ‘citizens arrest’ when law enforcers refuse to effect an arrest. You are even permitted to take a life if you or someone else is being antagonized. You are not expected to wait for the law to take effect.
Infact, where the law is deliberately toothless, the natural law of self preservation will stir up action in you.
