U cant read or hold an argument on any thread without some dudes trying to get personal. Now Iman and Laudate wants to keep up the trend. Dudes, read the topic of the thread and stick to the topic ![]() @ Iman I read ur post on the football thread. I was not talking about football fans sparring. But if u saw nothing wrong with it, that is ok. |
@ Simi Honestly, I did not read wat u wrote before the posting of the recipes. I will do that. Anyway, I am very open minded. I just asked if these were nigerian recipes since the title of this thread states "Nigerian recipes". |
WesleyanA:I think u are rite. Add also the lack of education (enlightment) and u have the perfect environment for this kind of scenario. When u go to most places in the north u would not believe that this area had held power more than any other region in the country. The political elite just keep the resources all to themselves, they send thier children to good western schools but then passively or actively discourage the masses not to. Most people are encouraged to send thier children to koranic schools , hence the origin of the almajiris (students in the koranic school). These are the guys that usually carry out most of the mayhem in any religious crisis. The alhajis brainwash these guys and they take to the street destroying lives and properties. |
@ Wes I do not mean "redeemed" in that sort of way. And definitely not the kind of redemption that Monsieur Bush is touting around. What I am saying is that there is no year that passes without some religious upheaval somewhere in the north. It has become a staple in the nigerian polity. The question is no longer "If" but "when". If after the first religious upheaval (which happened sometimes in the late seventies), historically known as mai tasini, we are still dealing with the same problem from the same quarters then I can only draw one conclusion. When I was told of the mai tasini story, I never thot I would see myself in that kind of situation. Alas, I was wrong. I lived in Kano for 12 years, starting from my toddler years and I can still remenber harrowing experiences. I did not lose any immediate family but I sure did lose some friends. I hyave left Kano for quite sometime now but You see the story remains the same. Hence, my conclusion. |
And one more thing, ehhmmm, errr,, read ur posts one more time before hitting the "send" button. ![]() Anyway, congrats on ur new found love ![]() |
@ Simi R these nigerian recipes ![]() |
LMAO As much as I hate to admit it, I am seriously begining to think that our northern neighbours are beyond redemption ![]() |
This is all it boils down to ![]() Curses, curses and more curses. To think that people would know better. ![]() I used to come here and read good incisive posts about football matches from Jackal , somze and co. Now all I see is useless, unneccesary and non-directional venom spewed all over. Is it not pathetic that humans would opt to go down to this level just to show who is the baddest, meanest and vilest of them all. Is there an Oscar award for that? Sitting down at the end of a computer terminal and spewing verbal assaults on somebody else thousands of miles away, that u prolly never even gonna meet, does not make u the better man. Hell, it does not even make u the man! Matter of fact, I learnt that these are characteristics of women, not even any woman, but the housewife type. Unless U guys r telling me that u are housewives then I suggest that U stop all these nonsense and go back to the useful and intelligent posts that I have to come to associate U guys with. If not , good luck guys . Let the Peace out!!!! |
LMAO I just saw the clip on U tube. Men that was hilarious. The fan barely touchesd him and he slumped like a log of wood after a futile attempt to retaliate |
Na wa for u , muki. Where is my rice and stew from the ramandan festivities ![]() |
![]() |
:d |
:-x :-x :-x :-x |
Nella:Thinking that all this thinking is making think . Thinking that I need to be brainwashed too by Muki or iice ![]() |
Whats |
And who wil save the men from the wiles of delilah ![]() |
Maybe he is broke? Maybe he is saving for rainy dayz? or maybe he is an asshole? Fact is dat he is ur boyfriend and u are still with him. So quit complaining ![]() |
lmao |
As far as both of you would not quarell over who gets the old dog or the sagging couch or even who is more emotionally attached to the wedding pics then divorce would not be that pricey ![]() |
Now this makes a whole lotta sense. I had this niggling feeling that wat tastes like babeelove, smells like babeelove and posts like babeelove is actually babeelove. Just confirmed it on the Insominia thread that afrodixie is actually babeelove. @ afrodixie Plis can I have the old babeelove back. Gives me some sweet memories ![]() @ topic Sorry for rambling off thread. Anyways, watever u do ( sleep with him or not , U gotta do wat u gotta do) just make sure U looking for another job pronto. Cos either way, it is obvious U are never gonna be comfortable in that environ. So whether ually sleep with him or not, start applying to other places, even if it means that you will need to take a paycut, then that is fine. Better u work in a place earning less more but with potentials to earn more based on ur ability than work in a place where ur worth will be tied down to ur sexuality. And believ me u, the obo does get stale this is for |
Rite now he has only one reason to fire u. U did not sleep with him!!! Sleep with him, U are giving him 24 other reasons to fire u. Ur arse has freckles and stretch marks ?U did not taste as sweet as u look ?U were not imaginative in bed ![]() There is a fresher obo who just applied for the job and so on and so forth ![]() |
Am I missing something here? ![]() |
They say once beaten twice shy. ![]() I say twice beaten, head for the courts ![]() |
@ Zig Unfortunately, that is the sad state of nairaland ![]() @ topic Honestly, women in trousers ( or men in skirts for that matter) is the least of nigeria's problems. We have gat bigger issues than this. It is like chasing a rat when ur freaking house is ablaze. |
LMAO Maybe u are rite. If after falling in love twice , they are still feeling some kind of discontent then maybe it is time to really re evaluate thier situation. |
