PoliticsRe: NNPC: "Oil Thieves Have Hijacked Political Power!" by Ufeolorun(m): 10:03pm On May 26, 2012
Gbawe: Precisely. Ultimately, this is what will happen when a Nation keeps appointing highly undeserving and unprepared opportunists into positions of utmost responsibility and paramount influence.
This price is too steep.

All institutions in our dear country are becoming helpless.
We have an all out assault on sovereign infrastructures and those who should be concerned have shown deep carelessness.

PoliticsRe: 2015: North Banks On S’west To Stop Jonathan ! by Ufeolorun(m): 7:39am On May 24, 2012
ekt_bear: Be careful that you don't destroy the PDP and replace it with something worse.

I think that the PDP should be weakened, attacked on multiple fronts. But i am not sure that destroying it and handing over the power vacuum that remains to the North is a wise idea.

Actually, let me be less circumspect...I think it is an insane idea.
Pdp is gone from bad to worse and the current happenings is a pointer it's going to get more soggy.
You see the Northerners as powerful, nope they are not at least not anymore.
Pdp is irredeemable and we cannot continue like this.
No flipping way like!
PoliticsRe: 2015: North Banks On S’west To Stop Jonathan ! by Ufeolorun(m): 11:20pm On May 23, 2012
@Akanbi_edu
Elrufai is one strong,coherent figure.

I don't care who comes in as long as he's a significant one up from president huh? but definitely the alliance will be throwing up a northern candidate. The permutation works well for a notherner cos this man will run and Pdp will rig most of the deep south states and the south east heavily anyways,in the sw I don't think folks care about one of them being president at the moment because of 1 anti-mainstream preaching of the Acn.
2. Sw conventional political thinking
3.The little difference Obj made.
The north like I said earlier feels strongly that its their turn-they want it more
And lastly I want pdp dead and buried njae.
PoliticsRe: 2015: North Banks On S’west To Stop Jonathan ! by Ufeolorun(m): 11:07pm On May 22, 2012
Akanbi_edu: Why @ the bolded?
They feel cheated and are angry hence they can be easily galvanized add them to people like me self who are gutted by the shocking incompetence.Fashola is cool but would be too beholden to the acn structure and the strongman. We need a strong figure looking at what we are going through right now
PoliticsRe: 2015: North Banks On S’west To Stop Jonathan ! by Ufeolorun(m): 10:53pm On May 22, 2012
Jonathan would have lost the election or would have just scrapped a seriously controversial win if the Acn didnt 'arrange'.He would have been out-rigged by the acn in Lagos and Ibadan and that's it.
Jonathan stands no chance really,he should just be preparing a war chest to bribe as usual.
If cpc starts building up a massive resistance in the north now and not wait till 5 months to the election and eventually seal deal with acn then forget a pdp headed by clout-less.
A Northerner at the head of the ticket is just the sanest strategy at the moment.
PoliticsRe: 2015: North Banks On S’west To Stop Jonathan ! by Ufeolorun(m): 11:17am On May 22, 2012
A sane political party would cash in on the discontent in the north by fielding a northerner to boot PDP out ,at least to clear the way.A dead pdp is a good thing for Acn and the Sw.
Nasir Elrufai would be a great candidate oloun.
Elrufai//Fashola Ain't bad atall

If acn had refused pdp offer and stood firm like Aregbe its unlikely we would be saddled with such a Monumental shock so anyone ascribing political strength to the result of last election should think again he's got zero capital but loads of bribes sha

I think Sws. are not really keen anymore (after ObJ) about who's there as long as something tangible is happening.

PoliticsRe: My Resistance To Action Congress Of Nigeria’s Forced Conscription - Mimiko by Ufeolorun(m): 5:16pm On May 19, 2012
ndu_chucks: Here's some facts about the most popular ACN Governors:

Governor Adams Oshiomole (Edo State):

He was born into the humble family of Alhaji Aliyu Oshiomhole of blessed memory and Alhaja Aishetu Oshiomhole.

Governor Babatunde Fashola (Lagos State):

Hand picked by Asiwaju to become the Lagos State governor in Dubai during a lesser Hajj trip

Governor Rauf Aregbesola (Osun State):

True blue Alhaji

Governor Ibikunle Amosun (Ogun State):

Always present in Asiwaju's annual assembly in Dubai

Governor Abiola Ajimobi (Oyo State):

Supports sharia with pride - a true believer

Mimiko is full of crap, he can't fit in ACN. Conscription ko, assimilation ni.
You carefully left out Fayemi just to reinforce your subliminal message .
Tinubu and his friends are not that daft

@Topic
Mimiko is unstable and may just be the man to let pdp back in the region and that's my only fear.No matter how dis pointing Acn has been so far, they are still far better than pdp (lona egbefa!).
It would have been lovely if he had built the labour party as a strong opposition to Acn.
I would vote Acn anyways if I had the chance
PoliticsRe: Soludo Takes Lawmakers To School On Capital Markets by Ufeolorun(m): 9:36pm On May 17, 2012
This is no relative gaming. Its about the man Soludo,Sanusi is absolutely irrelevant to the discussion. The crux-it's dishonest grandstanding if you create mega banks(The most active sector of the market) who ran away with too many undisclosed related party dealings/transactions,had shocking approach to governance(all under your watch)then you come out with loads of faffs about conventional market problems embarassed.
I am not trying to crash anyone's slobbering circus tent sha grin.
PoliticsRe: Soludo Takes Lawmakers To School On Capital Markets by Ufeolorun(m): 1:02pm On May 17, 2012
Its confusing that somebody like Soludo could still dazzle anyone, even our 'reabsentatives'??

Markets do crash but to use that to justify the crash of the Nigeria market that's totally or significantly disconnected from the global network is plain dishonesty especially for someone who knows the truth.

The banks soludo had regulatory control over were part of the those who played heavy underhand games with the market, maybe if Soludo had played is role effectively as a regulator the huge insider dealings and debt that went on wouldn't have happened.
In a functional setting ,Soludo would avoid further public grandstanding cos of the huge character deficit he has.

People you should be concerned it maybe a ploy to justify bombing in the Sw.
PoliticsRe: Yorubas & Ogbomoso Community Disowns Kano Boko Haram Leader Suleiman Mohammed by Ufeolorun(m): 9:12am On May 13, 2012
2mch: One thing these people don't understand is Yoruba culture. We are all traceable by family or compound names. No one can just come and say you are Yoruba.
True talk,I knew they would have to prove their assertion.
There's this proverb,I can't,remember. Its about the reason you give a child a name is to be able to identify his family compound when he does something wrong or to discourage wrongdoing sha.
The people are asking for his Yoruba name.

That's the beauty of the monarchy, all they need is to go to the obas palace to verify his family background. If the Soun or any of his junior Obas can't confirm at least one of his Baales would be able to Lol

Anways,am still trying to come to terms with the whole idea of BH sha.I feel the whole talk is soggybeans

I don't care about all this infantile news about Bh or where the perpetrators come from, cos the fact is Boko haram is the Fake-st terrorist Organization in the world, crassly disorganized, highly uncoordinated with its messages and the those who are to fight them? act like detective spongebob to me.
Someone is definitely messing with our mind and flipping about Nigeria.

PoliticsRe: Ondo Governorship: Mimiko Turns To President Jonathan For Help by Ufeolorun(m): 10:35am On May 11, 2012
He surely needs the Do-nothing Abuja man because he (Mimiko) is obviously surrounded,Mimiko seriously need to mi-mi-ko (breathe into) is political career lol.
Though Acn hasn't lived up to expectation,I still believe their regional integration rhetoric so I want them to win Ondo.

Prof. Ajayi Boroffice Would be a great candidate for the Acn.
PoliticsRe: The Correct History Of Edo? by Ufeolorun(m): 11:15am On May 10, 2012
I think we give this Odua story too much prominence that's why every iru and ogiri is latching unto it.

Maybe if Ubini/Ile-binu had been named Ife-te-EDO just like we hv Ijesha-te-EDO,MahintEDO,EpetEDo,EgbaTEDO there wouldn't be any argument. We should go further sef cos it seems Edo is even a Yoruba word or what does it mean in 'Edo' language.
Lol.
PoliticsRe: Fayemi: Turning Ekiti Into A Huge Construction Site. by Ufeolorun(m): 7:51pm On May 08, 2012
Let's wait like you said but these guys have set so high standard for themselves and I am judging base on this
I don't want any federal party(they have bad antecedents) back in Ekiti and possibly the region. Politics is local and local it must remain. This mean they have to get a lot done.
Digression:
Have got me eyes on Ibadan too and am seriously asking what's Ajimobis plan for Ibadan. If he's got none all he need is to look for the old ideas or master-plan(if any) that gave Ibadan a lot of first. The city is too important to be left dragging or put on a small -scale incremental fixing, even if its Alpha-beta bring them in to help with the tax and revenue framework-more cash to fuel reorganisation
A lot of Swners actually have more claim on Ibadan than Lagos.lol
If they are really serious about regional integration then Ibadan has to compete with Lagos
PoliticsRe: Fayemi: Turning Ekiti Into A Huge Construction Site. by Ufeolorun(m): 12:38pm On May 08, 2012
Gbawe,
Well my expectation is far beyond just one issue cos I thought we now have someone who will get the job done, I prolly rated him too high and am already re-adjusting to emerging facts.
Nobody want London or lagos in ekiti infact, I don't pray for that just build on the naturally sensible society that Ekiti is,that's all.
He should be seriously flaunting is achievement/quantifiable work in progress so far in AGRIC,EDUCATION,IT.Roads should be an ordinary ancillary to all these
Ekitis are probably the easiest people to lead just do what is right and I trust people will go to any length to support you ask Awo's foot-soldiers and they will tell you how much support baba got from Ekiti people.

NB. I don't have problem with your thread or your point of view, really, but not happy with the disjointed way the government is going on about.I don't criticise Jonathan anymore cos I expect nothing from him, basically.
PoliticsRe: Fayemi: Turning Ekiti Into A Huge Construction Site. by Ufeolorun(m): 11:57am On May 08, 2012
Fayemi knows what to do but he's been disappointingly going on about. I thought he isn't conventional but he's crassly same same.
We can make a lot of money from educational services as well by just latching unto the wide spread perception held about the state,
but no!,aiye san Oga-Govenor he wants Airport so he wouldn't have to travel through the craters
Is it not shameful that we are still heavily dependent on handout(though its our right under the law) from the feds despite the huge resources at our disposal, our people donot want only handouts lead them to the way of self-sufficiency

Fiddlesticks!
You are seriously under performing sir
