Exc2000:Hypocrisy is when you have friends as rapists, but come online to condemn others accused of rape. |
Exc2000:According to your supposed conscience which obviously is lacking. |

Oh! In other words, MouthAction ain't your thing. I don't believe you, but would rather take your word for it. |
Exc2000:If you have friends who are rapists, and you haven't turned them in, then you're as guilty as them. |
Prof0fficial: So, I put it to you that you have never asked your girlfriend to perform MouthAction on you cos, that would mean compromising her health just to please you. |
piroux:This got me smiling. I guess I'll laugh next time when I'm in the mood. |
Saintmary:The bitter truth is, there are many women like her who are not willing to take a step back from their marriages. I guess divorce scares women alot, and they can't just stay by themselves. |
MrBrownJay1:Mate, stop digressing and focus on the question raised. The purpose of the write up wasn't to condemn the man, but rather state how you would react if pushed to the wall by your parents. |
Hey Nairalanders, I would like your honest opinion on this. Last weekend, a cousin of mine got into a physical confrontation with his dad over the shabby way he treated his mom. Whilst a few family members applauded his actions, others condemned him(including me). So, I would like your opinion on what you would have done if you were in his shoes. A little about my cousin's dad: If there were to be an award for the 'most irresponsible man on earth', then I guess the award should go to him. He is a drunk, very violent, spiteful, and a philanderer. His philandering habit is so pathetic that he spends recklessly on his numerous lovers;whilst neglecting his wife. Unfortunately, this has been the case right from when my cousins were kids, and now as a man in his late 60's, he doesn't seem to show any signs of slowing down. And to cap it all, his violent nature is such that he insults and hits his wife at the slightest provocation(which mostly bothers on his womanizing habits and lack of self control). To further exacerbate the situation, he doesn't respect his kids(These are responsible adults in their 30's) and confronts them physically if any of them visits to broker peace. The physical altercation As usual, he got into another fight with his wife, and since they both live alone, a neighbor called my cousin who happens to reside in the same town as his parents. When he got there, he met both parents arguing with a few people around who apparently were there to mediate. He calmed the situation, and dispersed them. He was still trying to figure out what to do next when the dad pounced on his mom and started another fight. He tried stopping his dad from getting violent with his mom, and that infuriated the man. He turned on my cousin and started hitting him hard. My cousin tried defending himself and it led into a physical combat. The fight got so violent that it took the intervention of an uncle who eventually calmed the situation. Since that day, whenever my cousin visits to check up on his mom(She still insists on staying with her husband), the dad won't stop cursing him, and even threatened to call the cops on him. To be candid, I'm trying so hard not to describe the man in perfect terms, as that would paint the picture of a monster. In all honesty, he is worse than a monster, and no child would be proud to have his type as a father. So, the question is, if you were to find yourself in my cousin's shoes, what would you have done? Retaliate or just walk away? |
modestbrowser:You can afford to cook for your guest, but insists he pays before you serve him. I don't see why the cost of waybill should be an issue if you can afford to part with a laptop. I have seen cases where people were asked to send waybill charges first before they collect an item, and they ended up getting scammed. So, it is not totally out of place for the OP to have his reservations. |
Niccoloimhotep:You have no idea about what you're saying, and obviously does not know the meaning of the word 'judgement'. Since when does not 'wanting to be like someone' equates to passing judgement? Did you read anywhere in my write up where I slandered his person? So, if we were talking about poor people or catholic priests, and I say that, 'I don't want to be like them', does it mean I have slandered their person? Mr, no one becomes great in life without sacrificing something. Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, all had to sacrifice something at some point, and still do. And if I say that I don't want to be like any of them cos of what they must have passed through to achieve their feet, does it mean that I am judging them? The person who seem to be passing judgement here is you, cos you have decided to conclude based on what you think you know and not for my opinions. |
MyVILLAGEpeople:If you understand the meaning of the word 'righteous', then you should know that righteous people no longer exist. |
MyVILLAGEpeople:According to my statement, I meant that:"Righteous people no longer exist, only religious people ". |
MyVILLAGEpeople:More like 'wealthy religious men'. Being religious doesn't make you righteous, and you should never pass off a religious man as righteous. |
Niccoloimhotep:Wanting to be like someone is the worst form of 'low self esteem' which I never want to exhibit. So dude, stop making up stories cos I ain't judging no one, and what I said was rather my opinion and not a case of passing judgements. |
Noel19:Hey man, I don't see anywhere in the write up where I said he ''performed sacrifice" to be who he is. We all have had to sacrifice something at some point in our lives, and I'm saying, that I don't envy him cos I don't know what he sacrificed to be where he is today. Since you still have your reasoning intact, then you should be smart enough to realise that 80% of Nigeria's problem lies in us(the masses), and unless we change our orientation and mentality, things will never change. So Mr man, even if you elect Barack Obama as the next president of Nigeria, Nigeria will still remain the same;or even worse, cos there will still be people like you who will plot to assassinate him if his policies do not favour you and your kinsmen. |
kiosk1:Last time I checked, peanut is one of the sweetest nuts which has provided food for mankind. So if I got such a brain, then I'm the reason you are still living. |
Times are hard, but there are things one should never indulge in on the spur of the moment to make money. If it isn't worth it, then it's not worth trying it. When women sell their dignity for as low as 5K, 10K or 20K, I marvel at such stupidity and all I can say is: "They do it because it's very convenient and not necessarily because it's the only way out". |
Alooone:I am neither a male nor a female. |
I don't envy him, neither do I wish to be like him, cos I don't know what he sacrificed to achieve such an ostentatious lifestyle;and what he is going through in order to keep up with it. |
Alooone:So, how much are you being paid for it? Cos only poverty stricken women will accept your 150K offer. |
Infinity988:You have a bad taste. ![]() |
The only thing that matters is that he is a very fine man. |
Her bride price has crashed like oil price, so which one was she referring to? |
iLegendd:If you don't have something new to say, then don't disturbing the cyberspace. |
Alex is the light skin version of Chris Attoh. Ladies, be careful cos guys like that can give you high blood pressure. I have met him in person, and he even looks better. My advice to ladies is: "Never fall for the likes of Alex. Just have an affair with them, and cherish that encounter for the rest of your lives". |
I don't get it. How could you transfer 182K to an individual just like that? Why not in installments? Even twitter don't charge that much for a promoted post. And by the way, you should have sought the services of a company;rather than that of a random individual you met on WhatsApp, who can't even write properly, and like a professional that he is supposed to be. Lastly, how come the debit alert pic is showing #10.75? I thought it's supposed to be #182K. |
Can someone please upload one of Burna Boy's hit tracks? I don't think I have listened to any of his songs. Or maybe I have, but didn't know he was behind it. |
I can bet on my life that Tboss is over 40 years old. ![]() |
marvelck:I'm glad you called her a lawyer and not a barrister. The truth is, most Nigerian lawyers have nothing upstairs, and if they eventually become barristers, some never get to practice. Sometimes, I wonder why anyone would spend 5 years studying law if they're never going to practice. |
