aba4life is back again? lol
. . . moi-moi, akara. Most defintly Igbos
these are yoruba foods ![]() |
yeah i feel you. ![]() but you're now officially part of the family, so welcome. lol just try to stay out of trouble 'cause there can be so much drama at times. |
Welcome to Nairaland Galadriel how are you?this site is kind of addicting for some people so try not to get addicted. lol |
spoilt:lol. ![]() Covenant University should not in any way discriminate against PLWA. It's simply wrong. And I am optimistic Bishop Oyedepo does not know, and when he does he will upturn the decision. After all, some of his members are PLWA.excuse my ignorace, what does PLWA stand for? ![]() |
that's a good thing then i guess. i hope things get even better. |
Mamajama:the houses are HUGE in texas are they just wealthier over there or what? |
ilugunboy:this is sometimes true but not always true. i agree anorexia is not just about food puking (that's bulimia i think) people with anorexia are obsessed with fear of gaining weight and starve themselves sometimes. they usually have no appetite for food and are obsessed about exercising etc even though they eat so little. but then there are skinny people who EAT A LOT but hardly gain weight. |
Sweet T:oh ok. i edited my post. lol |
![]() thunder fire her mouth for that comment (if she really did make it). i guess she found some amusement in hoping on the Nigeria-bashing bandwagon. denex:since when did yahoo boys reside abroad? ![]() i guess you're just mad that the cousin of yours didn't send enough money home to you last month. |
fat or skinny, it's all good. skinny people tend to have less natural curves though (those people in the pics/ celebrities usually have cosmetic surgery, breast enhacement surgery etc)
|
babyosisi:no. religous talk. sometimes debate on religious topics. or just understanding the bible in general. and different perspectives on what the passages mean. it's more fun when we discuss amongst ourselves rather than trying to stay awake for 3 hrs of lecture usually targeted at adults/ married people etc. we usually have an older person in charge. lol don't be worried for us. you should be more worried for the little kids. lol their generation is rotten ![]() |
lol @babyosisi. debosky, you hear that? stop corrupting us. |
debosky ![]() stop advertising your dangling yekini on nairaland. |
i can't believe myself rereading my post from 2005 on this topic. esp. the one about agreeing with shief(sp?) ![]() Seun:word!! there are homes that need a leader. imo if the woman happens to be the leader, so be it (in these homes the woman is in charge) but if the leader happens to be male, so be it. but usually, people always criticize and call the husband "weak" if they find out that the female leads the home. they always feel that situations like this is abnormal when in fact there's absolutely nothing wrong in it. and there are other homes that thrive on partnership. |
my mom loves him. i love his church though. winners chapel was the cool church to go to then. probably still is. |
If Oyedipo and co. did not tell students from day 1 that you will not graduate with a positive HIV and pregnancy tests, then no matter how many divine inspirations he must recieved, the action remains illegal and improper.i'm hoping this isn't true. cause it really is illegal. |
babyosisi:jesus definitely doesn't teach discrimination. we all know that.jesus also doesn't teach condemnation. 'cause all you've been doing is condemning Muslims. And please, don't diss my religion, I am not finding it one bit funny. I never do that to others because I respect them, even if the religion in question is ATR. So respect me for that matter. Thanks.yeah i agree. all religion should be respected whether it's yours or not. |
babyosisi:the KKK claims to be a Christian organization. lol talk about world ills. |
@babyosisi, ok good for you. ![]() pastor oyedepo will disagree with you. likewise many other conservative Christians and catholics. All churches should be banned from venturing into any other franchise (because they will only end up promoting more hate and segregation in the society).i totally agree with you on separation of church and state. ![]() but their private schools is their business. freedom of choice to do whatever they wish. I'm now only waiting for the separation of mosque and state in many of the islamic countries. maybe not in my lifetime but someday. lol |
Chiori:lmao. never thought I'd live to see this day when a christian on nairaland will say "do not judge the whole based on the actions of a tiny minority" (except for a few understanding christians i've seen on here) this statement usually fall on deaf ears when Muslims say it to their Christian persecutors. lol I have nothing against the school (now that i've found out that it's a religious school, 'cause i was shocked at first). but I'm just wondering if the students knew about the rules before they enrolled. or did the school just create this policy 10 days before student graduation. that would be illegal i think. ![]() @Esss, i don't think religion is destroying Africa. conservative religion is the culprit. joking, but seriously though. lol methinks religion is just suffering the consequences of our poverty/ problems. |
http://www.punchng.com/Articl.aspx?theartic=Art200707143315379 the article is pretty ridiculous and hilarious at the same time, but I'm not surprised. there are some ridiculous Christian schools like that in the US (Pensacola and bob Jones universities) but they are unaccredited (unrecognized by the federal govt and employers in general) so nobody really cares what they do. did these students know about this policy before they enrolled? ![]() |
it depends on the pastor. some are boring others are fun to listen to. when the boring ones come up, i usually go to the teen section. there we don't have to listen to pastors. just talk amongst ourselves. |
this is shocking. I'm really mad right now. the pregnant girl doesn't graduate, and the "impregnator" goes scot free or do they do DNA tests to confirm the father of the baby? it's a university too not a primary school. those kids are 18-22. why can't they be pregnant if they want to be? and why are they discriminating against people with HIV? ![]() just tell me this is a conservative religious school (aka backward school) and everything will make total sense. but right now, this makes no sense. ![]() a guy who always spouts about women's rights, and you ar defending this discrimination?spouts about women's rights my foot. lol he only does that when he's trying to attack muslims. he's the #1 anti-women's rights advocate on nairaland. ![]() |
debosky:this actually sounds better than PENIS. lol you're supposed to be lady like j/k |
soulpatrol:haha. word ![]() |
PENIS!! there! our lady of babyosisi, i said it for you ![]() |
yeah i agree with angelheart. charity begins at home. if you want positive image for nigeria, start by being positive about nigeria. a lot of people i meet respect Nigeria because as far as i'm concerned, many of us (i hope) don't go about talking about corruption and 419. i mention the good things about my country. for the bad side, they can go watch CNN for that. too much negativity on nairaland. on every topic about improvment, there are always people who say stuff like "why are they using the money to build roads, they should use it to build schools instead." or "we don't want Nigeria to host the games, we should eliminate corruption instead" we have EFCC that's helping the country and there are still people who don't want it. enemies of progress. lol how can we make improvment when we are soooooo PESSIMISTIC about everything. and i used to think that i was pessimistic about nigeria, nairaland changed my mind. i'm not saying it's not good to criticize. but we should only do this among ourselves rather than going to display our dirty linens in public. just how's that possible? corruption in nigeria is deeply rooted, far beyond your wildest thoughts.it's possible. many countries in this world are corrupt. Just that they have systems that are efficient enough to check the corruption. i think that if more people are politically active in Nigeria and/or if we have an efficient system, the leaders will not have the peace of mind to do whatever they want in office. it's supposed to be a democracy, right? this is an extreme scenario but the govt of China recently beheaded one of the officials who collected bribes to let unsafe food go through to the public. this tactic will def. scare other officials from trying such corrupt practice. ask yourself, if you are hired at a bill gates estate to be the cleaner and there are nobody around to check up on you, 9/10 times workers will steal his property. it's just human nature. many of us here shouting "corruption, corruption" if you become governor and you see how easy it is to get away with stealing, you would too. so, it's not just a nigerian problem. just that we have it worse 'cause we don't do anything about the problem. warfarian:WORD!! |
their song's good. i like their skin. so flawless |
