my conrows cost from 30-40 bucks. and they're nice. she braids them really small If you go to a nigerian salon, they'll charge you less if you're nigerian and especially if you know how to bargain (my mom is expert at it) and most especially if you know someone who knows the braider who knows your uncle's cousin's mom. then they might even do it at a cheaper price. |
Good news. but i hope Ghana learns from our experience and use their new resource WISELY. |
wow. Nigerian stores have it too? i didn't know that but that's good. yeah. organic is awesome. i love the brand. |
lol |
no i'm not in naija. but i wish i was in naija though. yeah. I'll be 18 next year. lolI braid my hair most of the time and don't use much products but i always make sure that i moisturize my hair w/ hair lotion (no grease) i currently use sulfur8 moisturizing hair lotion and Organic leave-in spray. i condition my hair after i take out braids with Organic replenishing pak conditioner. Conditioner is really good for dry hair. It just makes everything soft and healthy. I'm not in naija so i don't really know what products there are over there. |
I know you guys already probably saw it but i think this is funny because who knows. . . BBC Africa might feature Nairaland next. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/6701559.stm |
cool. over here where i live, you can find them at the huge foodmarts. there are lots of hispanics /africans around too and they have it at their stores you say you play track/run, so did you win yet? or you quit? I don't remember what you said. lol |
haha. you wish. I didn't apply at all. hey are you in college? or in CT? How'd you know about wesleyan? i'm not Anna. that's not my name. |
proverbial:yeah. I named myself after that school. I was looking at the website when i joined Nairaland so that was the first word that came to my head. Wesleyan was my dream school for a while everyone here calls me wes for short. not anna, please. |
who's "anna"? not me!! |
omg be quiet!!! ok back to topic. marriage shouldn't be eliminated. |
what's SVG still. ![]() i'll sure love to go island hopping to Haiti only though 'cause that's the coolest caribbean country. and maybe cuba 'cause there are "yorubas" there. lol proverbial:wesleyan A. I don't know who "anna" is. lol but you got the buddy right. |
lmao. better than here. a lot of people don't even know what it is. Lady/ Gold Finger. funny. i learn something new everyday. |
what's SVG? I would love to visit the Caribbean sometimes though. in my dreams. lol |
nice pic. I want to party with flags too. lol ![]() what country are you from @Islander |
well, that's one of my (and everyone's) favorite foods. in fact i ate plaintain chips today that i got from a naija party. |
keep to yourself then. ![]() I'll continue to torture you if you keep quoting my posts/ refering to my feminism in every topic. it's spelled teenybooper by the way. the word is used to refer to little preteens, paris hilton, hillary duff wannabes. and i'm far from being one. |
hey dblock! ![]() funny signature again?! |
no i just combed it out and used an headband in front. (or sometimes i braid the front and the rest is an afro.) i just used my hand to make it go into place. good thing natural hair is elastic/ shrinks and stretches. I just push it down wherever it's pointing out and stretch it out wherever it's shrunk up. I don't know how to explain. lol |
@ sefago, what school are you at? |
the private eye idea is a good one. does he deny having an affair? what problems exactly do they have in the marriage that they have to literally live separate lives? |
adewaleafolabi:je suis d'accord. lol. le francais est complique. bon chance. ![]() |
he's an asshole. whoever it was that made him super eagles' coach is a bigger asshole. how can you possibly train a soccer team from another country. with webcam sessions? ![]() why do we always need a foreign coach anyways. are there no competent ones in our country. |
proverbial:oh please, be quiet. i'll rephrase myself. "traditional form of marriage is going away" and leave me alone while you're at it too. or are you obsessed w/ me or something? |
I don't think marriage should be eradicated by any societal law. If it will go away, it will go away on it's own. the meaning/ purpose of marriage has changed over the centuries and it's no surprise that divorce rates are going up every year. From what i read in a article a long time ago (and i posted part of it on a similar topic. lol), marriage came about as an institution where daughters are offered up to a man so that he supports/ provides for her basic amenities and in return she takes care of him/ be responsible for the marriage. traditional marriage was arranged. today, many women can provide for themselves and even provide for their husbands ie. providing for each other. It's also common sense to say that both partners should take care of each other be responsible for their house. (even though many still feel that this is the female's role) anyways, today, marriage is all about love and ideals. So, if you marry for love, make sure you are able to keep the love going for decades. It helps that both partners (PARTNERS) understand each other and are compatible. |
those are really nice lyrics @nferyn. everything just seems to sound so much more romantic in French. i don't know why. lol ![]() I think i'm getting better because i could read the lyrics without using Google translator much (just about 6-7 difficult words). i think it's very worth it to learn French. procrastination kills though. |
do you really think they qualify to be in the top ten? maybe we should make it a top twenty list. |
