OK, so for the 20yrs you've been doing the business, let me assume you were selling. People pay for items you're selling and the items still belonged to you so long as they've not taken physical possession?

Just help me understand Sir, so payment no longer means anything so long as item is not shipped out yet, ehn ma Oga.

You know the items you went and got a refund for, the seller didn't just up and sold it and gave you a refund, you opted for it. In all those cases where you're mentioning upandan about refund, was there an agreement between buyer and seller before the refund took place or the seller just woke up and took a unanimous decision to sell to a higher bidder after all the item still belongs to him even after collecting full payment?
So what happens if the seller's store catches fire and the item already paid for was destroyed? Won't the buy ask for it to be replaced or a refund?

As I said the deal is not concluded until the buyer takes possession.

A good example is marriage. A marriage is not deemed consummated until the bride and groom have sex. If you pay the bride price to marry a woman, the marriage is valid only after you two gave sex. That's why in the olden days, the whole family will wait outside the door of the newly wedded couple to make sure they consummated the marriage. The Marriage can be annulled if it is proven in court that you two have never have sex.

I don't have time for back and forth on all the other stuffs you wrote, but you see the area I made bold?

I'll tell you with my full chest that you're misguided. You definitely are not a business man. Even at half payment, business is concluded and ownership is transferred.

If the buyer wants to opt out, he won't get a refund until the item is sold to another buyer, else he must see it through. You guys keep peddling all manners of falsehood based on your ajegunle and omonile crude biz tactics, lol. Do you know why Elon Musk was taken to court last year? He started a transaction to buy twitter and tried to run opt out midway, seller insisted he must pay up and take his load 😂😂

Why I used that example is, I'm not sure you'll tell me you're more of a businessman than those involved. Or, egbon na you Sabi business pass Elon Musk and Jack Dorsey?
I have been in business for over 20 years and I have experienced such scenarios many times. I have paid for items numerous times and then found out its the wrong specifications, when I go back to the seller, they usually change it or refund my money. Sometimes even after taking possession. And I am talking about reputable companies.

The Elon Musk example you gave is not correct. Elon Musk could have opted out of the deal. He would only have to pay a $1bulliion dollar fine. That was what was in the contract.

Omo... People dey this life.

The worst the seller could have done was at least share the 50k profit into 2 and hold on to 25k while sending the other 425k to gazzuz.

I don't know any of you, but if this is how the seller thinks business is done? O boy... It's only a matter of time.

You are both in it for the profit.
You agreed to the 400k sale price. Though you pleaded for additional 30k but he made it clear he only had 400k and you both reached an AGREEMENT.

The fact that the product is still in your care doesn't mean you have any right over it, it has been paid for. You can't eat your cake and still have it. You should have never collected his money if you knew you were not happy with his offer.

Business is never done this way.

And rather than trying to reach a form of settlement, you feel you are within your right. That's the most disgusting part of it.

Just accepting you messed up and will help him add small change on what he paid you would have gone a long way to pacify him, have a clean record, and still keep the relationship with your customer.

Sometimes, it's not all about money.
False premise leading to false conclusion. The seller did nothing wrong business wise. Ethically yes. Now why should the seller share the 50k on top with the buyer? Did they have any sort of drop shipping arrangement?

A transaction was done, but not concluded. In business transactions, the transaction is not completed until the buyer takes possession. In lots of cases either the buyer or seller can still change their minds, since the buyer has not taken possession. The buyer can say he has changed his mind and demand a refund. As long as the buyer refuses to take possession, the seller has to refund his money.

Now let me ask you, what happens if the TV was stolen or got damaged while the TV was still in possession of the seller? Won't the buyer demand his money back?

Blacks kill themselves up and down instead of you to call them out for killing fellow brothers you make excuses for them that they are trying to put the violence done on them over 400years ago behind them. Violence non of them witness.

Only professional victims make such statement. Ones that blames everything on something else and they are never responsible.

If white man puts blacks down how do you fight? Bond together and support each other. Killing each other is not how you put bad history behind you.

Also, how far back do they want to go? Will they reach the black people who enslave them and sold them to white men?
I know the long term effect of abuse is beyond the understanding of you guys. Only few people like Fela Kuti, Marcus Garvey, Mandela, Nkrumah, Patrice Lulumba, and a few others recognised the past and continuous abuse of Black Africans.

Psychologists recognised the effects of early childhood trauma and dysfunctional family background on the future success of individuals and societies. African Americans watched their parents and grand parents suffer the discrimination/lunching/ racism that occured up to the 60s. Their own fathers and grandfather's experienced slavery. Even those that did not experience the racial crimes against blacks were told graphic stories by their parents and grand parents. This helps infect the next generation with the trauma and becomes a generational curse.
Igbo youths who never experienced the Nigerian civil war still feel traumatised by the civil war and are more radicalised than their fathers who actually experienced the war.

Another good example of this generational trauma/ curse is the black Arab relationship. Arabs having enslaved blacks for thousands of years will never accept black africans as equal. If you see the way they treat our brothers and sisters in Arab countries, you will weep for the black man.

Africans (both at home and in diaspora) cannot Bond together and support each other, because the brotherhood bond was broken by slavery and colonalisation. The white man recuited other blacks (tribes, Kings, chiefs) to do his dirty work for material gains. This is why most neighbouring tribes/clans don't trust each other till today. Egbas don't trust ijebus, Ijaws don't trust Itsekiris, Arochukwu and Ibibio don't trust each other, and we are not even talking about tribes in Northern Nigeria yet.

Please watch this video to have a glimpse of how we are still being exploited by the west and now China

it is sad. these media who make excuses for blacks killing themselves every day and their violent lifestyle want to deflect evil black cops in an act of police brutality to race war.
What do you mean by "their violent lifestyles"? Are you saying we blacks are more violent that you (white guys in black skin)? Are you insinuating black guys are more violent than Arabs, Caucasians, Chinese, Mongols, etc? If you are a student of history, you will know that blacks are the least violent of all the races. In fact before slavery/colonialisation, there were no record of any violence in black Africa. The only know warring tribe was the Zulu.

Blacks in America are still trying to put the violence done on them for over 400 years behind them. I visited harlem, New York in 1986 and I almost cried for the blacks in that neighbourhood. I hear its much better now. That you don't have any sympathy for what blacks had gone through and are still going through in the US shows you really hate blacks.

Of a racial group. That implies a black cop is racist if he stops a black driver? Because black drivers are more likely to be stopped and that is institutional racism.

Playing with words. Will not buy that.
That's a classic definition of institutional racism. Even black cops are more likely to stop and search black drivers than white drivers.

Listen to yourself. Racist Black on black.
You can mention other reasons like wealth disparity jealousy but race... you sank too low on this one . Stop trying to justify CNN by making ridiculous arguments,

An AI response I recieved from openAI

define racism. Is there institutional racism and is it different from individual racism

Racism is defined as the belief that one race is superior to another. Institutional racism is the systematic discrimination of a racial group by a society or institution, such as a government or any other organization. It is different from individual racism, which is prejudice or hatred expressed by an individual toward a racial group.
Your definition of institutional racism agrees with what I said.

Below is the answer by OpenAi when I prompted "discuss institutional racism in US police departments";
Institutional Racism in Police

Institutional racism within US police departments refers to the systematic discrimination and mistreatment of people of color, particularly Black individuals, by law enforcement. This can manifest in a number of ways, including discriminatory policing practices, such as racial profiling, and a lack of diversity and accountability within police departments.

Racial profiling is the practice of using race as a factor in determining whether a person is engaged in criminal activity. This often results in Black drivers being disproportionately targeted and stopped by police on the roads. Studies have shown that Black drivers are more likely to be pulled over, searched, and arrested than white drivers, even though they are no more likely to be carrying drugs or weapons.

These practices have been shown to have a detrimental effect on Black communities, leading to increased mistrust of law enforcement, and a sense of alienation from the criminal justice system. There have been efforts to address institutional racism in police departments, such as through community policing and implicit bias training, but more work is needed to address the systemic issues that lead to racial profiling and discrimination in policing.

This is what is wrong with your country.

Police brutality is a problem in the state but these people wants you to believe it is racism.

Some blacks and whites and almost everyone on this thread have been made to believe only white people can be racists... So opinion like what you saw on CNN magically points fingers on whites.

Those idiots are crazy and should rot in jail.
I was expecting you to defend the murder of Tyre Nicholas police officers and you did not disappoint. You have brought your usual "both sides are guilty (or fine people)" argument. Next is the victim was a drug addicted criminal who resisted attest argument.

The fact that the police officers were black does not exonerate them from racism. Black Lives Matter is fighting against institutional racism and not individual racism. They accuse the US police of being racist against blacks. Those black police officers cannot try that shit with a white man or woman. Lots of blacks hate fellow blacks and process the same mindset as a white nationalist/KKK/far right extremist. Even on nairaland lots of Nigerians hate anything black and always promote the white narrative and agenda - culturally, politically or socially. I think these are vestiges of slavery and colonalisation, in which few blacks were given white privilege in exchange for helping the enslavers/colonialists oppress his people.

As an example of how someone can hate his own people, I have a childhood friend when went to the US after this secondary education. He became very successful working in Telecoms in the US. He married a black American. He came to Nigeria when his dad died. I went for the burial as I was very close to the family. I asked him how he relates to Nigerians in the US, he told me he never relates to Nigerians because he believes all Nigerians are scammers. In effect he hates Nigerians. I was shocked. After his dad's death this guy abandoned his siblings who are struggling to survive. I never saw or heard from him again.

A WORD FOR THE BATIFIED by Femi Fani-Kayode

The biggest challenge that we face is complacency.

We must take nothing for granted, we must fight for every inch of space and we must struggle for every vote.

We must close ranks and not allow anyone or anything to divide us.

We must not underestimate our enemies or the level they are prepared to descend to.

The struggle is hard and the sacrifices are many.

We have been subjected to all sorts of insults, lies, betrayals and persecution by those that hate us, hate our principal and that do not wish either well.

Such is their hate that it borders on insanity: they even target our children, spouses and family members.

These are the sort of things that have NEVER happened before in the history of our country and in the history of our politics but they are happy to cross that line.

Yet regardless of their desperation, malice, mendacities, deceit and intrigues remember this: the wind blows in our favour.

PDP and Atiku cannot stop us.

Labour and Obi cannot stop us.

NNPP and Kwankwaso cannot stop us.

Only WE can stop us and that must NEVER be allowed to happen.

Like Iago said in Shakespeare's classic play 'Othello', "it is in ourselves that we are thus or thus".

The victory lies in our hands and we must be clear-thinking and focused to achieve it.

We must never allow our ranks to be divided.

We must keep our eye on the ball.

We must win votes.

We must bring in and welcome as many of the undecided and converts into our swelling ranks as possible regardless of who they are or what they have said or done in the past.

We must be kind, grateful, charitable, generous and magnamonious to those who choose to align with our noble cause, whether big or small.

We must stand with and support our leader regardless of the vicious taunting and relentless aggression that he has been subjected to by his detractors and in spite of the heat of the battle.

We must clarify issues and respond to every attempt to misrepresent, malign and discredit him.

We must expose the falsehood and evil intentions of his adversaries in the knowledge that he is the only one out of all the contenders that can bring peace, prosperity and unity to our country.

We must take nothing for granted.

No matter what price we are paying or suffering we have been subjected to as a consequence of our choice of candidate we must not be deterred, we must count it all as joy and we must keep moving forward because our cause is noble, just and righteous.

The lines have fallen for us in pleasant places and we have a goodly heritage.

The victory is ours.

It is within sight and together we shall enter the Promise Land.

None of us shall fall before we enter it and we shall all live to see and enjoy it.

BAT will be the next President of Nigeria.

God wills it and the zeal of the Lord shall cause it to come to pass.

Our nation shall rise up to where she belongs and we shall build on the foundation that has been established over the last 62 years.

It is for this noble cause that, despite the challenges, threats, insults and constraints from within and without, we continue to stand and fight.

The labour of our heroes past shall NEVER be in vain.

For the future of our beautiful children and our beloved country we will do and take anything to see to it that Asiwaju wins.

We will work hard and pray hard.

We will climb every mountain and level every valley.

We will travel to every nook and cranny of this country carrying BAT's message.

We will stand firm till the end, we will run the course, we will hold the line and we will keep the flag flying.

We shall not be denied and we shall continue the struggle until we prevail.

May God guide and be with us and may He bring our endeavours to an expected end.

The best way to prove it is to sit Tinubu live on TV. The station doesn't matter, it could be NTA, TVC or BBC, and let Nigerians ask Tinubu directly any question. No teleprompter, no pre arranged questions, no "teamship". It should be 100% Tinubu. Then you can put Ms Naja’atu Muhammad to shame.

George Floyd was high on all sorts of drugs. Had they found him dead in his house the reason would been have OverDose The lynch mob woulda be after the jurors , judge etc
I believ he could not breathe before they tried to subdue him. His own words
Did you watch the video or you just hate George Floyd or you love Derek Chauvin. He was so high on drug that he was having a conversation with Derek Chauvin. Derek asked what do you want? George said he can't breath because of the knee on his neck. This were the words of Grorge himself. Now are you saying he was lying to make Derek Chauvin look bad?

Are the circumstances the same? Did your example have 3 grown men kneeling on his neck, back and thighs? They asked the guy in your video if he can still breath he said yes. George Floyd clearly told Derek Chauvin that he can't breath specifically because of the knee on his neck, what did Chauvin do? He applied more pressure, until floyd stopped responding.

Here is an analysis of what actually happened and it was not a drill as posted in your example.

Apc and lies shall, the woman resigned on her own.
Her conscience wouldn't allowed her to sell Tinubu to Nigerians....
No one with a working conscience is campaigning for Tinubu. The main APC big wigs have been absent from APC presidential rallies, from the Vice President to notable ministers in the administration. People like Amaechi, Fashola, Aregbesola, Lawan, are yet to show up at Tinubu's rallies. Even his boy Femi Gbajabiamila is yet to get unto the campaign train. It seems only people like Sanwo-Olu, El Rufai, Oshiomole, Bayo Onunuga, Abike Dabiri and a few others are the ones leading the campaign.
