We are talking about the integrity of the system. We are tired of the party in power rigging the elections and then dare everyone else to go to court. Where the rigger will be installed in power and then given state resources to bribe his way through the courts.
Its the same court that made the person who came forth governor of a state. The same court said non serialisation of voters sheet is valid in an election, that serialisation is not necessary for the election to be valid. And that is the court you want Nigerians to trust.

BVAS and IReV was supposed to eliminate all these shenanigans, but it seems you guys want to continue performing the same tricks over and over against no minding what Nigerians think.

How do you know any party was winning or losing by 6pm when INEC refused to show evidence of results as stipulated in the electoral act 2022, which is uploading of BVAS and IReV? Filling out results sheets by RECs and announcing it on live TV is not an acceptable proof of result.

OSUN elections was upturned favour of APC by the Appeal court because of BVAS, so why should the INEC chairman commence the announcement of result without BVAS?

Such an approach can create a stalemate and thus a constitutional crisis because there is almost no end to the possibility of dragging things out in court. Even where a matter is decided in the Supreme Court, if what you suggest became the rule, politicians will deploy endless proxies to file endless new suits and thus frustrate any inauguration.

But we need a way to address the Ngige phenomenon, whereby a governor (or president) will be sworn in despite rigged elections, only for the courts to overturn the elections 2 years later, and then a new governor is sworn in for a new fresh 4 year term. Now the situation becomes "what happened to the imposter's term? Were the laws and executive orders made by the imposter governor valid or invalid? If someone takes such a case to court, it will be very dicey.
Another problem is that if we continue like this for the next 100 years, the cummutive effects of such scenario will distrust the whole electoral process. Already about 5 or 6 states have elections in unusual times.

I believe we can make a law that allows for all outstanding court cases to be dispensed with before swearing in. Either we expedite election cases or have enough time to litigate election issues.

I sure this is the main reason the supreme court always gives unreasonable judgements when it comes to presidential elections in Nigeria. Because, they are trying to avoid a constitutional crisis. Eg, the 12 2/3 issue in 1979 and the no serialised ballot papers in 2007.

I have always said it that Tinubu can never win a free and fair election. He relies on vote buying, intimidation, violence and rigging to keep Lagos in his stranglehold. Tinubu is popular with politicians, business elites, cultists and agberos, but unpopular with the ordinary citizens who endures all kinds of extortion from the state government and agberos.

What you guys fail to acknowledge is that science inherently Has a self correcting mechanism. It relies on data. The more accurate the data, the more accurate the findings. The earth can be flat for 5,000 years, but once new data comes from a new invention called the telescope, it becomes round/sphere. Same for gravity. Gravity was a force that pulls objects together for over 200 years, but once data came from space observations by telescopes (again), it no longer a force but a warping of space-time.
Let me add one more example; For over 5000 years leprosy, rabies and diseases were caused by demons and spirits, but with invention of microscope, new data became available and diseases came to be caused by bacteria, viruses, protozoans, fungi, etc.

Covid19 was a novel corona virus, as more people got infected more data was obtained and more accurate predictions ( and vaccines) were made. Yes there might have been a few errors and contradictions in the beginning due to limited data, but as millions of people got infected and more scientists got involved, the facts became clearer.
We still have no choice but to rely on the experts instead of our gut instincts or media and political opinion leaders.

I don't agree that Nigeria should align with the US. We should not align with anyone, but continue to be non aligned. We go with who best serves our interest (both short and long term interests). I have never seen a book called Lawn Boy before we can even talk about reading it. I have only seen a few passages from a single page posted here. I have no idea the plot or synopsis of the book. So I honestly have no opinion for or against. The issue of its appropriateness for a school library should be between the parents, teachers and school authorities. What I don't even understand is whether the book is part of the school or state curriculum. Is it part of any subject taught at the school?
As I insist, this is a school (or at worst a few schools) issue. How it got into a national frenzy that necessitated banning and vetting all books in all schools in Florida is beyond me.

This is still one isolated case of misjudgment by a school management. It's not a state policy by democrats as being pushed by extreme right.

If the parents are not happy with the school management decision, there are more practical ways to seek redress. Either a petition to the state's educational board, the courts or at worst seek another school.

These parents are democrats, republicans white black all works who will rather their kids be taught what they approve of which is Maths Science English etc and not be groomed like the Democrats wish to

Political campaigns have become an outrage shopping fiesta. Immigration, drugs, crime, homosexuality, foreign policy, etc., issues that transcends party, administrations and time. Everything is presented with an agenda to cause outrage and anger, with little or no policy suggestions.
