When I said most, I meant at the lowest point of Russia during the war when they were on the verge of defeat. If those supplies had not come in on time, they most probably would have lost the war.

The German were already at the gates of Leningrad. Even petrol to prosecute the war was provided by the British as the oil rich caucuses had been cut off. Yes propaganda is a weapon of war, but propaganda cannot be sustained for too long. Evidence and truth will eventually catch up with it. Russia took much of Ukraine territory at first because it was Russia that attacked and Ukraine was not prepared for a full blown war, but in the last 6 months, Ukraine has fully prepared in terms men and materials and have now gone on the counter offensive. It was a similar situation when Germany invaded Russia in 1943, the Russians were completely caught off guard. The Germans almost took over Leningrad before the Russians reorganised and pushed the Germans back. Ironically, it was the same US and her allies that provided arms, logistics and money to help the Russians defeat Germany.

It will be difficult for Russia win this war. Putin messed up big time. He launched an invasion of another country without being fully prepared. Sorry to say, but speaking from personal experience, my great aunt was schizophrenic. Her first daughter died of madness and her first son died of madness. I was very close to both of them. I know 2 more of her children that suffer various degrees of mental illness. All of them were never able to keep a family. Only a daughter that I know that is stable and doing very well.

I don't understand why you are patronising the wayward wife. What would have happened to the wife and her kids if the guy refused reconciliation and finally abandoned the wife and the children? Would she have commited suicide or go and start standing on Allen avenue at night? She should not have driven the man away because of a temporary financial setback.

Morality is a social construct that changes between societies, era and circumstances. Moral issues like human sacrifices, slavery, polygamy, homosexualism, prostitution, wars, genocide, fashion, abortion, substance abuse (smoking, marijuana,
drug use,) etc evolves with time even within the same society.
