This post reminds me of what a friend told me about his past.
He had a fiancée whom he had finished paying her dowry.
She visited uninvited from the state where she resides to where he was then only to meet him on top of a lady
He wasn't aware of her presence, only for him to realise after Cumming that she's sitting, watching them.
He was so shocked and confused but she was calm. She now asked them if they were through that she'd want to wash the bedsheet grin
After seeing the other lady off, his fiancée washed the bedsheet and even prepared pounded yam without showing any sign of anger.

My people my people, because of his fiancée reaction, HE REFUSED TO MARRY HER.

That she's capable of murder grin
Irony of life huh Well, he was not her husband.

It's not about it being local or little. The Bread was gotten from Market Square super market. I just find it awkward giving bread to your son-in-law to be on the first meeting.

Gifts are symbolic you know.
It was a message to you that since you refused to come with bread, let us give you instead. grin

No matter how you want to see or interpret it, BREAD has become a major substitute for KOLANUT which must be carried when visiting a home for the very first time, especially if there are children there and you want them to look at you with favourable disposition.

No much challenge only that you'll need to have yellow card which you can get at seme border especially if you'll be traveling the route regularly and be stamping your passport each time but you can still stamp your passport without the yellow card only that you'll be paying extra for it every time.
Thanks.

Entering Ghana is not hard.

Direct may cost around 50k (I don't know the actual amount). ABC, Young shall grow, Chisco, mile2 Ghana park, etc.

Halfway:

From Lagos 20-30k will take you to Accra if you can go "halfway" meaning >> Badagry >> seme border, cross the border by yourself with leg(the safest) or take okada( some of the okada riders are criminals).

If you want to cross by yourself just change like four 200 naira notes with you, you shouldn't spend more than three of it(600 naira) in crossing to Benin.

After crossing, change your money to CFA. When changing your money there go to those that have office, the ones sitting by roadside will usually cheat you. You won't spend more than 7000CFA to reach Ghana border (Aflao) so you can just change like 8000CFA coz you may want to buy something on the way.

Crossing Aflao border is 30-50 cedis, as jjc I recommend crossing with tricycle coz those okadas are mostly thieves.
After crossing, Aflao to Accra is 65 cedis.

Anyone who doesn't want to spend much on transportation can use this as a guide and if you need more details you can mention me here to provide more.

Like: Taking Aflao direct from seme is more expensive than seme >> Cotonou (tokpa market) >> Aflao.

Please be legit with whatever intention you have in going to Ghana.
Thanks for this info. Please, what if a traveller wants to have his passport stamped in each of the borders, is there any challenge to that?

Damilolly:
Dear all,

I'm here to give a summary of my experience at the Gwagalada office of the Nigerian Immigration service.

I needed to renew my passport and change my surname to my married name.

I contacted the Nigerian Immigration Service Twitter handle via the number on their Tweet and which they announced on Brekete family radio show on Youtube. I explained that my passport is expired, I will be in Nigeria for a period of 2weeks and will like to change my name and renew my passport.

He confirmed that I can travel in with my expired passport. I asked for a copy of the official communique which he kindly provided.
He said however, that he could not guarantee it will be ready within 2 weeks as the change of name will be approved at the head office but that the head at Gwagalada was a professional man who is passionate about making the system work. I think he's CSO, Comptroller, CO or so.

I contacted a newspaper to announce my change of name, did my e-affidavit and made my application online.
I showed my expired passport upon entry at the airport in Abuja and told the immigration officers that I'd applied for my passport DIY and needed my passport to be renewed in time. He called an officer at the Gwagalada officer and told him I was renewing my passport at his office and gave me his number.

I arrived at the Gwagalada office 2 days after the capture date after I had updated my NIN. I called the officer but as I went to see him I remembered that the PRO had given me the CO's number who I had spoken to months prior. I rang him and he said I should come to his office.

I went in, they checked my docs, I captured and he said my application was being taken tot he head office with others. I got my passport within a week later. I didn't pay anything to anyone to do anything and no one asked me for anything.

The man is a professional man to the core, he's Christian and Igbo. I pray people like him will have more responsibility in Nigeria so things can get better.

I think the PRO officer is now the head at the head office. Also an absolute professional even helpful when I was trying to renew my passport in the UK.
Good. I still say it that we have more good hearted Nigerians than the bad ones.

I want to express my gratitude to everyone for their contributions. I visited the Alausa Passport office for my passport renewal today and would like to share my experience.

Upon arrival, I was directed to the servicom hall for the DIY team, where a helpful staff (lady) reviewed my documents.

She instructed me to obtain a brown file, rewrite my renewal application on A4 paper, and make a photocopy of the last page of my passport (not just the data page). After swiftly completing these tasks, she cross-checked my documents, added my two recent passport photos, and handed me the file to take to room 12.

In room 12, a meticulous lady thoroughly examined my application letter, verifying details such as the passport number, expiry date, and my signature within the letter. She then signed and dated it.

Returning to the previous staff member, she double-checked the work from room 12 and made some notations on my file. I was then directed to another area for passport capturing, a process that took less than 30 minutes.

The entire experience was remarkably efficient, taking less than an hour in total.

Documents required for renewal:

- Brown file (available for ₦500 on-site)
- Copy of the online passport application form
- Copy of the payment receipt
- Copy of the acknowledgement slip
- The passport you wish to renew
- Copy of both the data page and the last page of the expired passport
- Two recent color passport photographs
- Copy of your NIN slip
- Application letter written on A4 paper.

Regards.
This is good. How much did you pay for the renewal. Which date are you given for collection?

No matter how you want to decorate a house with faulty foundations, it is still primed to collapse.

Most of the people to blame for where we are today are dead. They wrecked us in the 60s, 70s and 80s. That's why Fela was crying out at the time because the foundation was crooked. Even if you bring Obama to be president of Nigeria, things will still be abnormal and the prices of commodities will still continue to climb. No single president can give us immediate relief. They can only help implement policies that future Nigerians in 100-200 years will enjoy. As it stands, unless we just want to lie to ourselves all the political parties in Nigeria are the same. None of them can save us. Na human beings dey the parties. After complaining about PDP for 16 years and APC came into power, many of them switched sides and na so Dem go dey do forever. So even if you feel cursing APC gives you some relief, remember that many of its members are the same people in the PDP you now like in hindsight . It is only in hindsight that we praise our leaders. I've never seen any sitting president who satisfied the majority of Nigeria's citizens. Obasanjo was only praised and appreciated after his administration ended. Nobody gave him accolades when he was in Aso Rock. I never believed Jonathan would be praised after Google told us he was the most cursed president at the time. Bihari is also now being praised as being better than Tinubu. Buhari that literally everyone except his children cursed his administration. Same thing will happen after BAT's administration. I'm 100% sure of it. That's how you know Nigerians are the problem of Nigeria not necessarily the #1 citizen.
Our political parties don't have an ideology like they do in other countries. Just greedy men wanting to stay on power and Mr Murray Bruce isn't innocent either.
What you term as Nigerians' "praising" past presidents after they leave office is not "praise" but a comparison based on the suffering and pain threshold being faced compared to that which the past presidents instituted before leaving office.

There will be heavy inflation at first, even world bank and IMF warned us about the inflation that we will experience before the economy bounce back.
Don't let hatred becloud ur judgement.

Our economy is foreign dependent and it affects every sector of life.
So, whose hands is it to retrieve the economy from being foreign dependent consumer wise? Is it Nigerians whose local businesses are packing up or the government?

A government that refuses to build factories and industries while claiming to build roads, flyovers, railways, and bridges that do not contribute anything to the people's lives.

This government you are defending just went to spend millions of USD to buy vehicles for themselves.

Who depends or sustains foreign- dependent consumerism more than the NIGERIAN POLITICIANS?

Christianity EtcRe: Going To Church Prolongs Your Life By 14 Years - Experts by writeprof(m): 1:01pm On Oct 22, 2023
Those researches have not filled any gaps in knowledge.

It's not GOING TO CHURCH that prolonged the lives of the people. It's the people's RELATIONSHIP with the GOD they go to CHURCH to worship that prolonged their lives - You need the Holy Spirit to guide you to arrive at this result as it's not subject to scientific verification.

If a person does not have a relationship with GOD personally, the pressures and authority that some churches (especially one man churches) put on their members definitely does not contribute to prolonge their lives.

Also speaking, Danagogo commended the army for its interest in recruiting Rivers people into the service and called on the youth to come out in their numbers to join them.

He said the state government would immediately start sensitisation campaign to encourage the people to join the ongoing army recruitment.

The SSG attributed the low turnout of the people in the recruitment exercises over the years to ignorance and lack of information.

“As a government, we look forward to every avenue to empower and gainfully employ our people

“One area we feel that we are being marginalised is in the enrolment of our citizens into the Nigeria Defence Academy (NDA) to become officers,” he said.

Danagogo pleaded with the army hierarchy to provide opportunities for its indigenes to join the NDA as well as notify the state government when such opportunities come

Rightly observed. NA should look for officers' materials and not Kolofo materials from ND.

FT, IMF and others now agree that Tinubu should stop announcing policies without plans for their implementation and handling their fallout. His ministers are separately proclaiming plans, but no discernible overall coordinated plan weaving them together has emerged. While the administration touts, and cherry-picks some free market policies, it ignores the critical ‘low-hanging fruits.’
