Some of those pics of the secretariat are a few years old. Anyone in Abakaliki to take recent ones?
This is what we’re talking about when we say Ebonyians and Abians need to help big-up their states like Enugu, Anambra and Imo peeps do. They shouldn’t leave everything to the state ministries of information...who, if we’re to be honest, are near useless! The Ebonyi gov’t website was last updated sometime last year! |

bixton: Alot of persons don't even understand how the judiciary and NJC operates. The judiciary and NJC prides her members not be brought to the spot light especially when it has to do with corruption charges be it true or false. Once such gets into the public domain and prolongs even if you're innocent, you'll be asked to go for compulsory retirement. So basically what you’re saying is that all a despotic president (like the one we presently have) need do is to accuse the head of a supposedly independent arm of gov’t...sully his name in the media....get rid of him without recourse to the NJC....and voila, mission accomplished, since he would be forced ‘to go for compulsory retirement’!? |

For what? Are Igbos more criminally minded than other ethnic groups? These are economic crimes and are symptoms and a consequence of the dire economic situation facing us as a people! Fix the economy and it will reduce the high rate of criminality to the barest minimum!
What should be discussed is our political and economic emancipation in/from Nigeria and all other things will follow!
Any Igbo stupid enough to carry drugs, should face the consequences! |

kikake: In Imo state, our gov tells us that he is building our dear state capital.
May be Imo shall be first among states that built best state capital but abandoned other parts of the state. Imo state is a state that gives mixed emotions. Okorocha did something in the state capital no doubt....but that's about it! Most of what he did over 8 years were just cosmetic, and centred in and around the state capital! And i have issues with the quality of most of the roads he built! Okorocha did little to improve the states industrial base/output! I was hoping to see Imo take a prominent position in palm oil production, given the huge palm plantation they have at Ohaji/Egbema (i think that's where it's located), but this never happened! All that talk of 'ikwuola nku' was just annoying hot air, and amounted to nothing in the end! |

The funniest thing is that Igbo usually stereotype themselves with all the good things in Nigeria like Smart, Rich, Hardworking, Brave etc but when it come to bad things they don't want others to stereotype them
There are smart people and intelligent people all across every ethnic groups in Nigeria but I don't know what make the Igbo believe they are the only intelligent one it must be due to your stupidity You’ve gone off on a tangent! I asked you a question, and you’re yet to give an answer! You mistake the confidence Igbos have in abundance with ‘bragging’, and this stems from the negative sentiments you harbour towards them! Which of the three major Nigerian ethnic groups isn’t guilty of this ‘bragging’ you want to claim is the exclusive preserve of just Ndigbo? You only notice the one of Ndigbo b’cos of your negative sentiments towards them even if it’s occurring within the context of a ‘bragging’ match between them and say the Yoruba or Fulani! |

And they are not capable of leading? That's exactly what you are saying and it is what make you dumb. You are dumb and stupid for thinking you are the only one capable of leading
You are not the only tribes in Nigeria that the world Recognize their Smartness in International Competition but why do you think you are intelligent than other tribes in Nigeria?
Igbo believing they are smart than other tribes in Nigeria actually means you are the most stupid tribe in Nigeria for believing that
We can all see your Leaders in South East and how they handle your Region matters. Your leaders in South East are not even performing enough but for some stupid reason you feel like you are the only one entitle to Nigeria leadership Something is totally Wrong with you guys Quick question: why is there a discrepancy in cut off marks for JAMB admission, with the south-east states having the highest? Igbos don't know what's going on here! They push a damaging report on Ndigbo to the front page for rabid Igbo haters to feast on.....then a few moments later they act like they're all good and neutral by looking for a positive story on Ndigbo to equally put on the front page after the damage has been done! This present story broke days ago, yet it's only now it's getting to the front page! In one fell swoop, the number of Nigerians on death row in Saudi Arabia has outnumbered all the Igbos (that's if all these guys caught abroad are all Igbos...and all from 'only your 5 south-east states') caught abroad in two years engaging in crime, yet we don't see Abike Dabiri releasing their names? You should all know a game is being played in this country to demarket Ndigbo and paint us as the 'main problem' Nigeria has....that but for us, Nigeria would have been populated only by saints and angels! |

vindisick: I am not a lawyer but i research a lot. Do you remember the case of bakassi penissula?. The argument put up by the Government of Nigeria to the effect that Bakassi Peninsula could not be yielded up to Cameroun on the principal ground that section 12 of the Nigerian Constitution would need to be complied with so as to effectively delete Bakassi as a Local Government by way of Constitutional amendment was roundly rejected by the International Court of Justice. In fact, in a later 2012 case of Attorney-General of Cross-Rivers State vs. Attorney-General of the Federation and Anor, the Supreme Court (SC.250/2009) , speaking through Rhodes-Vivour, J.S.C., was more punchy when it eloquently declared with a tone of finality that; “This Court has no jurisdiction to decide ownership of oil wells located on oil-rich Bakasi Peninsula for the simple reason that Bakasi Peninsula is foreign territory. It is Cameroun land. Supreme Court jurisdiction is restricted to Nigeria land.” What i am trying to say is that though the Nigerian state is sovereign over all its affairs, its [Nigerian] accession to the African Charter on Human and Peoples Right by its [Nigerian] domestication of the said Charter has effectively watered down the indivisible and indissoluble portion of our Constitution. A Daniel has come to judgment! |

But you are too busy making frantic efforts attempts to appear dull.. Yet you cowered to the bullying of Cameroon...sharply gave up Bakassi without a fight....and ran off whimpering with your tail between your legs!? What you've posted is just papering over the cracks....they're just cosmetic solutions that have nothing to stand on and wouldn't last! The problems you're hoping your suggestions would solve are symptoms of a more endemic and fundamental problem facing Nigeria which you artfully swerved past.
Any solution to Nigerias' problems that doesn't have at its root the complete and total overhaul of its present structure and political economy....reversing back to pre-1966 settings (of course with modifications to reflect present day realities), such a solution is bound to fail! |
