Naija mentality has made us suffer and smile. An employer can fire his employees for any reason but no employer has the right to hold on to his employees salary for whatever reason. I used to work at Walmart and even if employee steal, they will call police and the first thing they do is write you your check and bye you go. Nigeria government should make a law that criminalize employers holding employee wages for whatever reason. You do not want the guy, fire him but pay him his due.

I have an advice for you bro. I have a Master's degree in education in US and also an associate degree in Diesel technology. I used to teach in trade school in Virginia and I quit on them cos I can double my earning working for myself. There is lots of money in auto repair, most especially heavy duty. I own my business and I charge $100 an hour, minimum of 2 hours to look at a truck. If you learn auto repair, most especially diesel side and you ever leave Naija today, job will be looking for you. As I am typing this message, people calling me to come look at their truck but I am not working today. Hit me up if you need some advice.

Finish your degree and give your career a go and if it work out, you are good and if not, you have a degree to fall back on. Nothing to congratulate them for. There is community colleges in America that is equivalent of polytechnic, trade school to learn skill based vocations and no point in grading them cos their functions is different from universities. Upgrading all teacher training to universities does not change nothing if their lectures, facilities is still the same. It end up reducing the quality of education recieve by the students.

I am not an immunologist but I can tell you every casualty count is low in Africa and South America cos our level of development. We do not even know our population, birth rate and death rate. How do we count Covid date rate if almost 80 per cent of our population do not have access to health care? How many people had since died in villages that nobody run test on them and just buried them? For every one Covid death recorded in Nigeria, I assume there are hundreds that have died and nobody try to test them or do autopsy on their body. Guess that is why we are called developing country.

It is a fact that it is low. As a direct witness, to the recklessness of Nigerians during the peak of the pandemic, I saw medical doctors without face masks or without any such protective measure, interact with the older populations with pre-existing conditions... and those folks are today, well and alive.

I have seen old people without face-mask, eat the virus as though they are eating Amala or Tuwo Shinkafa with Oha soup, and they are fine. However, it finally becomes a mandate that we take the vaccine, when somewhat our immune system had protected us thus far and continues to protect us.

Make no mistake, 90% of what we consume is from the developed nations, they can get to us if they have ulterior motives... so I am not suggesting they have ulterior motives, as from birth, many of us got the polio vaccine, most of our drugs are produced by those making the vaccines... but my objection is, why their is no quest or inquest to understanding why the casualty is very low in Africa and Nigeria and allowing that to be the basis of such a remarkable decision.

Most people don't know a single individual who died as a result of the virus, yet they are expected to modify their immune system and make it so called '' stronger or equipped '' to fight the virus. We have heard of people that have died abroad of the virus despite the vaccine. In fact, now and then, they have to get booster shots and countless doses.

We should not always be consumers... I believe that getting the vaccine should be by choice or at the very least, should be scientific and those identified as being at risk of pre-existing conditions that are susceptible to the grim of the virus, should certainly take the vaccine. ... it is sad that there is no science that supports the decision, but there is science that supports contrary.

For years, people died of Ebola virus here in Africa, no one mandated western nations to take the Ebola vaccine.

So the facts, with the vaccine, you can still get the virus, the vaccine is just meant to reduce the severity of the virus just in case, you are symptomatic.

With the vaccine, you can still transfer or infect another with the virus... but so far, we have been pretty fine in Africa despite the grim prediction when they created the virus and exported it to the rest of the world.

Again, let our immunologists get to work in Nigeria, and contribute to the discussion. We shouldn't just be consumers and sheeps perhaps led to the slaughter. Our immunologists should do researches and to find out that we already have herd immunity and we are fine, but could recommend certain people get the vaccine, while anyone willing to, make it available for such.

Do you consider yourself successful driving Uber 15 hours a day just to stay above water or someone with Master's in Nigeria doing group home on Yankee? Average Nigerian are hardworking abroad but hard work does not pay that much except you invest in yourself. Double your working hours increase your tax bracket and you will be surprise how much you have to refund to IRS at the end of the year.
