I bought my house from sweeping the streets for 12 years. Worked for a local council.

Deportation is not end of life. I have been deported before and lost interest in continuing my education is unilag then. I wrote Jamb, start from year one while my mate was graduating and I am glad I did. The whole process is better for those who have support cos deportation is a monster and when you are lonely and nowhere to turn to, the monster take root in your life. I am a Christian but still find it hard to comprehend why a whole family will be pastors in Nigeria. Does God call a man, his wife, Son's, daughter's and his grandchildren? Hope someday, I will have insight to comprehend that part cos I am yet to read that in my bible.

There is no innocent fellow in automobile buying and selling. You buy a car at US auction, it is sold AS IS and you take it home, transmission went it out and it all your problem. As long as you did not buy a car under warranty, any problem the car develop after buying it is buyer's problem. You write as if you hate western education. Universities was never design to be a stopgap as you said. It was design to supply skilful people to various occupation. Can you hire a non graduate to design and construct a bridge? Absolutely No except you want the bridge to collapse.
Our problem as a country is lack of planning and population explosion. Think about it, the population of UK was less than 60 million in 1960 and it's 67 million in 2020. Population of Nigeria in 1960 was 45 millions and had increase to 206 million in 2020. We quadrupled our population in less than 80 years without planning for increase in population.
Our solution to our unemployment is government planning and stagnated population

I though you need minimum of 3.0 point to apply for PhD. Guess I am wrong. Rounding up my Masters and looking toward accelerated PhD but not in Naija ooo. It takes forever for to complete PhD for Naija.

We have a systemic failure that produce such lecturers and they continue the cycle of madness. Think about what average Nigerians lecturer goes thru getting his PhD, and will understand the method to their madness which that does not make it right either. Their are mean/Mad lecturers in UK/US also but you know you will not last long on the job.
After each class, you are ask to fill out a survey about the lecturer and if a lecturer keep getting bad reviews, his job is on the line but for Naija, who cares.

Our roads are not bicycle friendly and so our culture. Until will have a dedicated bicycle lines, educate drivers to respect bicycles riders and give them right of way, ridding bicycles in Naija is the shortest way to get to hell or heaven...

It is not Nigeria alone. There are limit to medical leave a worker is allow to protect the employer. I was only given 15 weeks max for back surgery and that was with Coca-Cola and not even in Naija...

yeah i have a similar story. this guy, i wouldnt say he is a very good friend but you know how it is in university ? you have your very close friends you hang out with everyday, and then every other person is your casual friend. yeah so this was at OAU. As a Medium/heavy duty instructor, the cause of the problem will be thermostat that stuck close for these reasons.
1. When you start your car and your coolant is cold, thermostat stay close cos there is not reason to send coolant to radiator, the thermostat will stay close and send bypass the radiator by sending the cold coolant by into the engine. When your coolant get hot, the temperature will open the thermostat and let the coolant goes thru the radiator to cool it and back into the engine. If you get overheating few minutes after driving, then it's your thermostat.

2.If your fan is bad, you will only get overheating when you are not moving like traffic situation because when you are driving, air blows thru your radiator and does most of the cooling of coolant.

3. Bad radiator cap will make your coolant evaporate and lose coolant and your coolant level sensor should shut down the engine.

Finally, if such car comes to my shop, I will replace the thermostat, run and go from there...

I can imagine the stress and pain. Kpele. We’ve been there in the past. Firstly, ditch your evil mechanic cos he’s the part of the problem here. Secondly, you didn’t indicate the make and year of your car. Thirdly, do you have any male figure you can speak to for assistance cos auto mechanical issues can be draining.
And finally, you need a very good mechanic to trace the origin and source of the overheating. It could be as simple as a bad radiator cap or faulty thermostat. So you need someone who’s knowledgeable to help supervise the repairs so you don’t further stress or frustrate yourself. I could send an auto mechanic to you if you don’t mind, depending on your location in Lagos.

Guess you think military equipment is same with cars? Military equipment has specialized parts and you can only order such parts from the manufacturer only. Those equipment will never be useful again except US sell them the parts and provide expert to installed it which will never happen.

My opinion

All over the world, employee wages is set by forces demand and supply. Even entry level job wages is on the rise now due to shortage of employees. MacDonald now pays $11hr which was unheard of before. Government can only set minimum wages and the rest is control my market forces and negotiation between employer and employee.

Our society is just all wrong. Reason why we will ever be third world. Our values are next to nothing. Get rich at all cost without care of the consequences has pushed average Nigerians to the edge and willing to do anything and everything. Names, integrity means nothing...
