Well, I understand the anti-climax associated with the 'ordinary' killing of the night king...it kind'a looks too conventional to hype a character that much and then take him off in a whim. Many expected a fight to the finish, probably this episode would have been reserved for the last. There seem not to be any other intriguing warfare or scintillating plot-line to keep viewers in suspense.

Anyway, my own be say those two dragons no do the kind damage I been dey expect dem to. Infact, at a time I felt they were just flying around aimlessly. There are a lot of plot-holes shaa, but then that is why it is a movie. As for Arya and the Night king scene, I felt Arya took one of the faces of the night walkers; maybe one of those flanking the night king. Just notice seconds before Arya 'flew' in, one of the knight walkers flinched kind of, or more like heard a sound and wondered where it was coming from.

Me, I was just wondering what the night king wants with Bran. Just to kill him? why make so much drama out of it? I thought dude wanted a human soul to harvest or something. So all the killing and raising of army is just to kill a boy?
It was interesting to watch Viserion go from singlehandedly taking down a magical mountainous wall in season 7 to not being able to destroy the small brick wall Jon kept hiding behind grin grin

Thank God. Someone watched till the End
That's to show the level of thinking put into GOT. Most of the scenes we are watching now were written years back. I don't think the writers do 'spur of the moment's writing. Every scene we watch has been properly planned out and there is always a story...a reason behind it.
Making Arya kill NK was more of shock value than a natural progression.
I watched the interview and he said "Most people thought Jon would be the one to kill him, but we already decided it'll be Arya."

If it wasn't Jon's destiny, why bother us with tales of the long light, Lord of Light, Azor ahai, prince that was promised whose song is be that of ice and fire.
Why did Rhaegar dump Elia for Lyanna to conceive Jon if Arya was going to kill NK all along. lipsrsealed

My tots too...Dragon glass was more effective in killing wights than fire...

the dothrakis we've known are a bunch of fierce-fytin- savages..who go about killing civilizations.reaving and raping...

I rily wished the took them out with more significance..Mayb redeem d clan a little bit...
Let's not forget how Valyrian swords are forged in the breath of Dragon fire. . .
How Dragon glass kill wights. . . .
But the night king is somehow immune to Dragon fire. grin

I have no evidence, but I strongly suspect Bran and the NK are not quite done with each other. Yes, I saw him explode into ice, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

The only thing I honestly did not expect were the deaths(?) of Rhaegal and Ghost?
I'll keep my fingers crossed.
The Night king can't just be such a dismissible villain.

The dothraki didn't spoil any plan.

Jorah was the one that was commanding them, and Jorah knows about battle.

They shouldn't have moved a inch at all.
So true. We were introduced to the Dothraki in Season 1 as a fierce group of warriors and they died like flies.
They didn't even have the decency to give them Dragonglass weapons.

They crossed the narrow sea for the first time in their lives to be sacrificed. cry

Lol

I think we're ignoring the moment NK gave Bran a face off, Jon at the moment stood up to face Viserion (with no defence) and Viserion was brewing blue flame and didn't light his ass. Me thinks there is another picture behind that picture.

Yonce what ya say to that
All I have to say is Bad Writing. grin

I mean they built the Night King story arc for 8 seasons Kept remindinf us that "Winter is Coming"
Made Bran and the Night King have an intense face off and played battle music making us anticipate what the Night King was going to do to Bran, or maybe he'll tell us his motive and bam! They took it away in 5 seconds flat.
Is this is Winter that is supposed to come? grin

She's dead... Its the neckpiece that have been keeping her alive. So many people are not talking about her deeds in this battle. She was the gamechanger. She gave us all the motivation and most importantly Arya.

Melisandre, I stan.
Most of all, she gave us light to see this episode.

To your bolded "The crypt is an enclosure", you cannot compare the crypt to an open field, can you? How she gets there before him is not our business, but it is something she is capable of doing.

As for the Night king's death, i think it would look like Thanos death in the early part of Endgame when Thor cut off his head. Will the Night king have any further role to play, i don't know? Can he clog into Bran after he was stabbed by Arya? I don't know. But i think ther movie is trying to let us know the war is not only centered at the night king. The real war is with Cersei. The Night king might have been just another enemy waiting to get killed.
Tbh fighting Cersei for the Iron throne at this point seems like a downgrade.
They've built the wight walker threat for 8 seasons and snatched it away too fast.

Like how did Arya get past like ten thousand wights and just jump out of nowhere without the night king and his White Walkers noticing? That's shitty writing and a very anticlimactic end to a storyline line that I thought had more. I mean, what about the Azor Ahai prophesy? The Prince of the dawn? All the build up to this battle and all we get is this underwhelming ending. Honestly I'm not even all that motivated to watch the next episode.

Also how is Sam not dead? I could swear I saw him swarmed by at least 10 wights. There are so many characters that should have died in that battle that just miraculously survived. Jaime, Brienne and Gendry should be dead. If the writers wanted them to survive then they shouldn't have put them in those practically inescapable situations.
Greyworm too.
Ser Davos.
Sandor.
Podrick.
Tormund.

And what happened to Ghost?
He rode off with the Dothraki and we never saw him again.
Do we assume he's dead.

As for the Night king's death, that's the most anticlimatic death in cinematic history.

Jon was utterly useless as a Leader and a General.
Like is this the Prince that was Promise??

He couldn't successfully sneak up on The Night King like Arya did.
Dany took the initiative in roasting wights. He wanted to wait.
He lost his fight with an Ice dragon without a rider.
He couldn't make his way to Bran.

I never said the writers of the show purposely included the Arya sex scene to manipulate female audiences. I just explained how that scene could influence the behavior of young girls because it's a scientific fact that movies influence humans behavior and I stated examples.

On the issue of the feminist agenda, this one is glaringly obvious and I've presented my arguments in convincing fashion and no one has since has provided any reasonable rebuttals.
One sex scene cannot manipulate the female audience.
Bro we've been watching sex scenes on the show since the first episode.
We've seen rape, orgies etc why will that one scene manipulate us?

Arya is facing the end of the world, what is so manipulative about her trying to experience sex with a person who's her friend? undecided

Jon is about 9 months older than Dany. Dany was conceived during the last stages of Robert's Rebellion. Her mother and Viserys were sent to Dragonstone after Rhaegar's death. The Sack of King's Landing then happened( so Aerys would still have been alive to conceive Dany) , which was succeded by the Siege of Storm's End being lifted by Ned Stark, who then left for the Tower of Joy, where he found Lyanna with Jon. Jon was conceived as at the Battle of the Bells, when Rhaegar departed the Tower of Joy leading to the Battle on the Trident. So Jon had a head start. This makes sense because only after the Siege of Storm's End was lifted could Stannis have sailed to Dragonstone and possibly captured the Targeryens, which then led to Rhaella and Viserys fleeing, which then occured the Storm of Daenerys's birth, hence Daenerys Stormborn.
Thanks. The timeline is confusing though.

Lol... Jon Snow is older than Dany
Well, at the time Ned supposedly found Lyanna just giving birth to Jon in Dorne, Rhaegar was already dead, Aerys was dead too and Viserys and Dany were already being smuggled to Essos.
I always just assumed Dany was older by a few months at least.

Everyone keeps saying the crypts is the safest place in winterfell forgetting that there are dozens of dead starks down there. I pity those poor women and children when rickon Stark comes running towards them.
The crypts have been mentioned so much this season alone and HBO even dedicated a whole trailer showing just the crypts.
The crypts of Winterfell have been speculated to keep the dead from rising as it was built by the same man who built the wall. . .around the same time just after the last war(a long winter) with a Night King.

The key to defeating the Night King could be in the crypts.

I thought the reunions ended in episode 1!
Get on with it already!

Meanwhile, how come none of the battle planners factored in the fact that the knight king had a dragon with him? Or they don't believe Bran when he told them earlier?

Btw, was that Arya sceen necessary? The mental image we have of innocent little Arya just got destroyed!
I don't think they we're going for that reunion vibe. . .most of these characters were just foreshadowing their deaths.
It's clear this was the last night they all had together before they crossed over to fight for the night king. A lot of them are going to die.

And how can you still have a mental image of an innocent Arya after all the sufferings she's endured? After all the deaths she's seen and people she's killed? grin
