What I can deduce from this thread; 1. People who don't travel at all, those that have never left their territory since they were born, are the ones who spread hatred because they don't know a thing about other people. They live and feed on stereotype. Oga landlord travel and see. 2. I want to spoil the first point I made. The caption of this thread is wan kain, why the 'single lady' ? Maybe I think too much but I know many single girls who travel a lot and I know how and why. See you in America dear. I've spoilt everything. |

Claudiusdeux: Condolences to the families of the deceased...
Now, looking at this case dispassionately, I am not jumping to any conclusion, but I strongly doubt the Fulani herdsmen theory, or the 'jihad' theory
1.The victim is a lawyer, and he probably has some enemies.
2.The murder took place in a city setting.
3.Both the man and his wife were killed. The house was not burnt.
4.Why would herdsmen attack just one house, and leave others alone? Herdsmen usually attack several houses
5.The area is not lactated in farmland or in rural area (Makurdi residents should help here).
It has the hallmarks of a organized hit.....not a herdsmen attack. It may be the attackers a re fulani, and then again there is a high chance they aren't.
The sad thing about this thread is that it attracts bigots ready to scream and shout over the whole issue.
Att he end of the day, let the Police investigate the crime. It isn't for the governor to play poltics and tribalist commentary over the death.
MODIFIED
Looking at some of the pics, it does appear that the house is located in a rather isolated area, however, let the investigations be done first. If herdsmen did it, find them. If locals did it., find them. Well, I reside in Makurdi and I will tell you without any investigation or doubt that it's Ortom doing what he knows how to do best again- riding on the gullibility of the average Nigerian. |

Esseite: The best way to eradicate out of school children is:
- Family planning... (Nigeria used to have jingles and adverts on family planning in the 90's)..
- Extend school start age to 4years old...(where are we really rushing out children to).. About your second point, in our days school age was four, we even had a few who were a little above that age. These days I think schools(particularly private schools) are business establishments. Their priority is making money off parents, else what business does an infant of a year, a little less or above have doing in school? They charge exorbitantly and keep the older ones in school for hours in the name of 'extra lessons', but these extra hours mean extra cash. You don't get a child to learn by caging him for several hours in the name of teaching....and it's in these same schools parents are forced to pay some tips to external invigilators during their final exams. Not all but most schools are just business centres. |

Romance › Re: Is Sex Necessary In A Relationship? by zedman1(m): 6:56pm On Dec 12, 2020 |
Misslilbootay: I am not a virgin because the guy I dated before made it seem like sex was the only thing that could keep him. Unfortunately, that is another story of its own.
Recently, a friend of mine came and asked me if sex was necessary to keep a relationship. She told me the guy has given her everything she needed in a man but he couldn't stop asking for sex. She said that she wasn't ready to compromise her faith that premarital sex was a sin but she didn't want to lose this guy as he felt that her refusal to have sex with him meant she didn't love him.
The question I'm throwing now is 1. Can a man stay without sex in a relationship and wait till she is ready. (As in this case, she wants to wait till she is married) 2. Why is sex so important to men in a relationship? Do they see it as reciprocating of love especially when they spend heavily on the lady? 3. Also, most men wants a decent lady. Here is a lady who wants to keep herself for her husband but the boyfriend sees it as she manipulating him. Since you guys want a lady that isn't a borehole, why do you demand for sex when you are not sure if it will work out?
Your intelligent opinions will be appreciated. About this topic, I don't know if to answer yes or no. Well, I was a good boy and lost the first girl I ever loved because she wanted to have sex with me so bad but even my body said NO! I loved her and for the first time in my life then, I thought sex never meant a thing.... she left. I dated another and wanted sex so bad because I thought I made a terrible mistake for not wanting sex with my ex. She lied to me for three whole years that she was a virgin but these three years without sex was hell. She started loving me when we eventually had sex but left when she met a guy who had much more money than me. I then met another who upheld 'no sex until marriage' but I saw that as bullshit and did the do. I'm married to this good girl now so I don't know how to answer your question. I just believe GIRLS pretend a lot when it comes to sex issues, they love it but only pretend not to. I think we all should be real, if no sex works for you, fine, if it doesn't, sex your way up, if it leads you to marriage, no problem..... my opinion, not God's or any other's. |

NwaAmaikpe:

The splendour and precision put into this wedding planning reminds me a lot of that of Ehi Ogbebor and Ken Bramor's.
4months and 12 bakers for one wedding cake is attention to the wrong details because those who ate it have already excreted it and forgotten what it tasted like. But we will NEVER forget the effort put into this wedding if it ever goes South.
Some of us who discreetly got married without cakes and shared plastic hand-fans as souvenirs are still happily married with plenty descendants but I know some who made sure their wedding was BAAD gan and the talk of the town for months who still have no offspring to show for it and those who gifted cars as wedding souvenirs who were lucky to have a child but don't have that marriage anymore.
I also know some who flew to Dubai for their wedding and few years afterwards, their jumpy marriage made the same person almost jump off 3rd Mainland bridge.
We will be here to see how the show of vanity turns out because Ndigbo have a famous saying that says, "A gbacha oso, a guo mile". MwaAmaikpe is back! |

surebona: That's the point brother. I really don't have friends in Lagos that we are that close. And the few times I drank made the whole thing worse I was force to start bugging her lines.... The first real heartbreak I had made me drink with a friend too. I got high, called her, though she wasn't picking my calls, strangely she did that night. I insulted the living day light out of her. It felt marvelous! Yeah, she called back and I blasted her even more. She was so shocked to hear me react that way cos back then I was a very very nice guy. Next morning I woke up totally regretting my actions. This was one girl who made me go three whole days without eating but I didn't know, one who made me think and told my friends that I was sick and couldn't resume for the semester when actually I wasn't sick. She was getting married to my childhood friend( then I didn't know cos she never told me the reason she was leaving, she didn't know too her husband was my friend and till date my friend doesn't know he got married to my girlfriend, till date nobody knows but me) I thought nothing or no one could make me forget about her..but time changes all things. The internet was still new in Nigeria then so I got online and browsed about people who had gone through stuff just like you're doing now and discovered there were a whole lot of guys going through that Shi*t I was going through. Knowing this helped me alot. Fast forward, it's been years now and I don't even remember there was someone like her, even if I do, I don't feel a bit hurt, I don't feel anything. Everything faded away with time, I drank my beer normally, had some few other dates here and there then got married. The world did not end, I moved on with time, do same bro. |

Arrewa: This is how Bokoharam started in Borno state!!
Dear Igbos... Karma is a bloody bitch!!
Most of you Easterners have been really enjoying and celebrating the killings that is currently going on in Borno villages.
You people rush to insult and castigate the whole of Northern states once there is killing in any village in Borno.
Ipob is another terror group you people are feeding fat with support and love just like the Kanuris back then in 2008.
Ipob are now attacking and killing northern Muslims in the East and most of you are praising them calling them freedom fighters.
Same ipob attack mosques and police stations killing innocent people... Same you Easterners will come online to defend them!!
Now they're gradually carrying bombs... You people couldn't still smell the danger.
The Easterners are still defending them and calling every news exposing ipob Atrocities as fake news.
Bokoharam started this way... The Kanuris of Borno state once defended them... clothe them! And fund them!!
It would only take the government few millions of dollars to turn them against you.
The Government is Evil!! The main Bokoharam of Muhammad Yusuf has been defeated!
The Bokoharam we have today are government actors even if the president is not directly involve. Top Powerful politicians and Generals are involve.
Ipobs now carrying bombs should be a thing of concern to all reasonable Easterners. Funny enough only a few know about Mohammad Yusuf and how boko haram actually started. Nigerians easily forget,we just make a whole lot of noise and Never learn any lesson from our past. That is one major problem out of the several others we have. |
