That first time, I thought I was having some sort of premonitions of death. I worriedly phoned all my loved ones, warning them to be careful. All day this feeling of doom persisted in addition to a clean, antiseptic, coldness that I could not escape in spite of all that I deed to distract myself. In any case these feelings faded by the next day.

I had no idea the tea was responsible since I did not drink the tea the next day. I’m not a herbal tea fan and only bought this one because I had been having difficulty sleeping. A couple of week later, I had a cup of the tea before going to bed around 9 pm. I woke bolt upright around 1 pm as though woken up from sleep by the presence of evil. The room was icy and I nearly ran from the room hollering in dread. These feelings worsened, becoming like those that I described earlier.

That which I experienced may not be what depression feels like but if it is then I salute anyone who is able to live with such feelings for 3 days let alone years. I have associated the tea with causing those feelings and binned the entire box. Since then I’ve not experienced any further episodes.

At least you had something to point as a reason for going through depression. So many people do not know what it means to be depressed, they just blame you. I feel pity for the ones who couldn't make it through. I don't blame them even a bit. Glad you pulled through, I've been there too but I couldn't and still can't find a reason I was depressed. I pulled through eventually too. That was in 2012.

I was depressed in 2012 and up till today I don't know what caused it. I didn't want to tell anyone about it, I didn't know why either. Since then, each time someone commits suicide and people blame them, I just say to myself " you never know what they were going through". That thing is unexplainable, until you taste it yourself. It was during this period I started drinking "small small" and surprisingly, the feeling eventually disappeared.

Earlier these month, great opportunity showed up, I was to assembly foreign equipment for one big politician in my state. The architect that got the contract contacted me as an engineer, we went to the site, take the measurement, ready to kick start the work. We've negotiated the price, you know Nigerians most demand for cut, which we agreed certain percentage.

4 days to the date set for the money to be transferred, she stop picking my calls, stop answering my chat on whatsapp.

Before then she'll be calling to ask if I'll be able to fix the equipments, she'll ask me questions like; how are you going to do it, what an what will you need, how many workers will work with you etc.

The guy that connected me with her happens to be a friend. I was updating this guy on every progress. At a point this woman start passing information through this guy to me. I was wandering, why can't she call me direct.

To cut the whole story, The woman went an gather some people including the guy to do the work, after all my efforts.

Wow, you just reminded me of the hell I used to go through before I got married to my wife. Mine was even for SIX WHOLE YEARS, cos we started dating when she was still young- about 18 and in 100 level. I had similar episodes, not once, not twice. It gets you confused, you want to leave, you want to stay, if you leave, she comes back with her mess, if you stay, you remain in the mess. Truth about such girls is they're seeing someone else. I've been depressed once in 2012 and nothing, I repeat, NOTHING ever made sense anymore in this world. Funny thing is I didn't and still don't know what caused it and just like this guy, I was never ready to tell anyone what I was going through. So if I had taken my life then people would have blamed someone? Since then, I don't judge people who commit suicide because what they go through before the act can not be explained by words. As for me, I started drinking small small, lol, funny and unbelievable, but that's how I saved myself.
