i expected an intelligent response from you not this infantile diatribe.

Gowon initally declared a 'police action against the secessionist'. The invasion of the midwest exposed ojukwu greed and quest for territorial expansion, hence, a full scale war was later declared.

How did the yorubas and awolowo kill ibo children? Dont give me that food blockade BS. Tai Solarin a yoruba man worked with donour agencies that sent food supplies to biafra. Why dont you tell me about how some members of the biafran high command were hoarding this supplies and selling them at exorbitant price as ojukwu alluded during the Ahiara declaration.

One thing i find fascinating about you ibos is the way you potray yourselves as saints. All the other tribes in Nigeria are bad, wicked and demons but the ibos alone are the angels, the ibos are never guilty of any wrong, they are the perfect tribe.
Don't twist history. Ojukwu invaded the mid west because it was on the route to Lagos and a part of Nigeria. It should be noted that after Gowon attacked Biafra, Ojukwu was well within his rights to attack anywhere in Nigeria, even Ibadan. Another thing which a lot of people might not know is that Ojukwu declared "Republic of the mid-west" after he invaded it. He did not make it part of Biafra so how was he expansionist?

It might interest you to know that Chief Odumegwu Ojukwu returned to Nigeria to support Shagari's return to power in 1983. He neither supported Awolowo nor his very brother - Chief Dr Nnamdi Azikwe. He supported the very people you loathe and blame for all the wrongs.

High time we laid to rest the overbeaten myth of people liberation.
He was human anyway.
Yes Ojukwu came back and went into politics. Naturally, nobody would have expected him to start fighting again at that time. And there was no way Ojukwu would have supported Awolowo or Zik because both men had betrayed him in the Biafran struggle. Shagari and Ojukwu had no problems.

overbeaten myth of people liberation? I'm an Igbo man. I was a free man before the White Man came to force me into the "captive union" called Nigeria. The struggle of my people to get out that union is not a myth, it is real and our right

Like Agapecharis opined, you reek of undiluted double standard.

It is highly inconceivable that you have no problem with (even defending) the ban on bigamy and imbreeding, but somehow condone the liberalisation of homosexuality.

Again, you guys should just let it go, I don't belief ANYBODY is born gay. Some people just want to be different, it doesn't make the act innate.
There is no double standard here. Like I said before, I believe that people are born gay. Using Africa as an example. We all know that a gay person in Africa is most likely to be ostracised, thrown in jail, beaten up and maybe even killed just for being gay. Why would a gay person risk all of this if the opposite sex could give him/her the same thing they are looking for with the same sex? If I was a gay man and a woman's vagina can give me the same thing a mans a$$ could give me, why would risk my life, my happiness and my freedom unnecessarily with another man? It makes no sense. The reason why there is no double standard here is that a bigamist, can choose not commit bigamy, a polygamist can choose not engage in that lifestyle but a gay person cannot choose not to be gay because they were born that way. I personally believe people are born gay. I am prepared to accept a gay guy the way he is as long as he accepts the fact that Im a straight guy who likes women.

I'm a Cathlolic and I stand by what the Pope said about gay people in 2013. The Pope said:

When I meet a gay person, I have to distinguish between their being gay and being part of humanity. If they accept the Lord and have goodwill, who am I to judge them? They shouldn’t be marginalized. The tendency is not the problem…they’re our brothers.

I wouldn't call it obsession, as an Igbo man, it's no skin of my nose if the Yorubas secede or not but it intrigues me as someone who read about the Oyo empire and Afonja while in secondary School now seeing the same people don't have sense of self determination in this present day. I wonder what went wrong. God did not put us together, that's not how God operates. God lets us make our own choices, who we are, where we want to be and who we want to be with. We were put together by the British and their superior firepower and Nigeria has been kept together by superior firepower ever since then except it is not the White man holding it any more. Don't bring the American civil war into this. That war was about freeing slaves while the Nigerian civil war was the reverse.

If you look at it from an open minded point of view, you will see I'm on point. Inbreeding is a strong point to ban incestuous relationship because the offspring(s) that may emerge from such relationship are most likely to have genetic anomalies which they can pass on to their own offsprings. In the USA, Mormon families and other religious sects are known to engage in polygamy as is in Europe. As for "getting used to being gay", I don't believe in that. For me to leave all the fine girls out there to sleep my fellow man is crazy so any man who does this is someone who has always been gay but did not yet have consenting partner yet. I believe people are born gay but my point it that if two consenting gay people decide to engage in that activity, it's no ones business. I know men and women who engage in far worse sexual activity than gays anyway

New well drilling moves Lagos closer to first oil

JULY 28, 2015 : FEMI ASU

| credits: bingoenglish.com
The possibility of first oil from the Aje shallow-water field offshore Lagos this year has received a significant boost with the commencement of drilling on the Aje-5 production well on the Oil Mining Licence 113.

The Aje-5 well is part of the first phase of a two-phase development plan for the field.

The well is being drilled with the Saipem Scarabeo 3 semi-submersible drilling rig, Panoro Energy, one of the joint partners involved in the Aje field development, said in a statement on Monday.

The firm said, “Following drilling, the Aje-5 well will be completed as a subsea oil production well.

“The drilling and completion for Aje-5 is expected to take approximately 70 days. Following this, the rig will be used to re-enter the existing Aje-4 well to complete it as a second Cenomanian subsea oil production well.”

It added that installation of the production manifold, flowlines, umbilicals and risers would take place in the fourth quarter of this year, after which the floating production, storage and offloading vessel, the ‘Front Puffin’, would be installed and commissioned.

“Production is expected to commence by year-end 2015 at an initial anticipated production flow rate of approximately 1,100 barrels of oil per day, net to Panoro from these two wells, in accordance with the first phase of the approved Field Development Plan.”

Punch news
After having your oil then what? Will that bring back the sense of self determination the Yorubas have since lost? Will it make the Yorubas seek Odua Republic? Yorubas will still remain self confessed slaves of "one Nigeria" wether they have Oil or not.

Please I'd like to know your views/take on these issues:

1. What do you think about sexual relationships between parents and their children? It is still banned in the west - is it not a violation of their human rights if two consenting adults decide to have intimate relations?

2. Why is polygamy/polyandry still banned in the west? Is this not a violation of fundamental human rights? If consenting adults decide that a man can marry more than one wife and a woman can marry more that one man why is it banned in the west?

3. Where do you draw the line between morality and human rights?

I do not agree that gay relations should be criminalised but I agree that society should determine whether it is acceptable or not.

Waiting for your answers, please.
Sexual relationship between parent and child or incest cannot be permitted to prevent "inbreeding".

Polygamy is not banned in the west, what is banned is bigamy.

Where I draw the line between morality and human rights is in humanity. I'm not gay and I'm not a gay rights activist per se, but I'm not about to reject a human being for being gay. Being gay is not something someone grows up to learn, you either have that inclination or you don't. If a person has that inclination and respects that I do not have the same, I'm ok with him. I cannot demonise a person because their sexual orientation is not the "norm" and what two consenting adults do behind closed doors is none of my business. People who look down on gay people are backward thinking in my opinion.
Politics › Re: Photos Of NDA Cadets Harassing Civilians by zendy: 7:22am On Jul 28, 2015
In civilised countries, people in uniform are restricted to what they do. Since when did Cadets become traffick wardens?

In civilised countries, a civilian can challenge anyone in uniform from a General to recruit, if something unfair is being done. In Nigeria, challenge anyone in uniform and you will be lucky to just get away with a beating.

In civilised countries, it is a highly disgraceful thing for any Military personnel to engage in rape. In Nigeria, there nowhere the Nigerian Army goes that allegations of rape don't surface, infact, some people consider it normal.

In civilised countries, any abuse of power by any Military personnel results in instant dismissal. In Nigeria, it is the order of the day to abuse authority and power and to harass innocent civilians.

Sir, who intentionally made the coup to look like an Igbo coup to justify wholesale slaughter, as you put it? Are you insinuating that there was a plan for the "pogroms" before the coup and that the pogroms were not reactions to the said coup?
Long before the pogroms, there was a concerted displeasure at the Igbos by the northerners. Igbos were better educated, held important positions. This could be seen in the fact that in 1945 and 1952, there were massacre's in Kano and Jos of Igbos. The January 1966 coup, the subsequent counter coup and the massacre of the Igbos that followed that was eventually crowned by the civil was a long chain of events orchestrated by northerners to stifle and opposition to their goal to domination of the country. I have always believed that any Military officer who engages in coup is a criminal. I am an Igbo man, and I think that Nzeogwu,Anuforo,Okafor and all of them who participated in the first coup were and are criminals, but they were all punished (those of them still alive) at the end of the war. Coup plotting and its subsequent effects is why I think that Buhari is a criminal, but fortunately for him, he is a northerner
Politics › Re: Was The Jan 15, 1966 Coup An Igbo Coup? A Detribilized, Historical Perspective by zendy: 3:35pm On Jul 26, 2015
At the time of that coup, majority of the senior officers corps of the Nigerian Army were all Igbos. Chukwuma Kaduna Nzeogwu was born and raised in Kaduna. He spoke far better Hausa than he could Igbo. Would it be right to say that this man led a coup to enthrone the Igbos? Everybody knows that it was the political disturbances of 1964 to 65 is what caused Nzeogwu and co to strike. It was not an Igbo coup, it was made to look that way to justify the wholesale slaughter the northern officers would perpetrate 6 months later.

Anyone who thinks that us Igbos are going to give up our agitation for our independent homeland of Biafra because of effects of war is dreaming. War brings suffering, starvation and death. Stale news. No Igbo man worth his salt is going to accept to live in the prison called "Nigeria" just because of starvation, suffering and death. The only reason Nigeria defeated Biafra was because of the blockade that British Warships enforced. If there is another war, Britain isn't coming back to help Nigeria stop food and ammunition from getting into Biafra. And this is when Nigeria will known the true meaning of war!

What do you mean by was "loved by his people"? Which people? Only an ignoramus can love and evil man like Murtala Mohammed. You know why?

murtala Mohammed was a despicable man of the highest order. It is a personal disgrace to all well meaning Nigerians that such an evil man has his face on the national currency and has landmarks such as an international Airport named after him

The sins of murtala:

1) murtala Mohammed led a band of Northern military officers which included the current president Buhari,Danjuma,Babangida,Abacha,Jerry Useni, the late Yaradua senior amongst others in the counter coup of July 1966 were they killed Ironsi and massacred over 300 eastern officers.

2) murtala and his troops massacred over 700 civilian men, women and children who came to welcome him and his troops as they entered Asaba at start of the war

3) murtala despite sound advice and in a bid to increase his popularity led thousands of Nigerian Soldiers to their deaths as he tried to cross the river Niger into Onitsha on 3 separate attempts (The then Lt Oladipo Diya almost lost his life in one of those attempts). Subsequently, Mutala was recalled from the war and sent to London while his men lay dead under the River Niger.

4) murtala became the first Military officer in Nigeria who conducted a coup to sieze political power for him self when he kicked out Gowon. Even Nzeogwu had no interest in becoming president in his own coup. murtala then in one of the biggest acts of Military indiscipline then retired everyone who was above him in rank promoted him self from a one star Brigadier General to a full four star Genera in one go. murtala became the face of Northern military domination of Nigeria.

murtala then embarked on a mass purge of the civil service where he sacked over 11,000 workers nationwide which included some of the best and brightest.

murtala was a war criminal, a homicidal killer, a failed Soldier,a sociopath and national disgrace.
