Hmmm..... this is backward.... very punitive. First... they need to place a fine for driving against traffic.... N100 000 or whatever. Vehicle in violation seized.... owner given his day in court. If guilty... given 14 days or whenever from day of judgement to pay fine in full. If unable to... then the vehicle is forfeited and sold at auction. This is how it's done in countries with well planned systems.

I think all you have listed were tried here in Lagos, but people are intentionally stubborn. Then, such a fine was imposed and you go for training, pay training fees, buy training books but it didn't work. I am not sure this auctioning will still work. People can't just obey laws in this country

What is difficult to understand in what Ortom said that you are bashing him? Isn't it what we are all clamouring for that he said? Or don't you understand the meaning of ranching? If a fulani man buys land in Rivers and ranch his cows there, then there will be no crises of farmer-herder clashes. That is what Ortom is saying. There is a law that prohibit open grazing in Benue and the state government implements it to the latter.

It is going to be another herculean task to get rid of this crises, even if the government implement ranching. The criminals have already tasted ransom money via kidnapping activities. They are not just going to let go of their assumed way of easy money making.

My friend, the worst thing that can ever happen to anyone is to lose his/her reputation, integrity and credibility. When you lose it, no one will ever take you serious again even with your good intentions. Not that people don't read, the Federal government has lost her reputation, credibility and her integrity. Therefore, no body is taking them seriously again. That is why if you are a leader in your local church, community, school, at home, at work etc Guide your reputation with all it takes because if you lose it, you are gone. When you lose your reputation and credibility, head lines is a enough to judge you because no body cares.

I don't think this is enough reason for someone to comment totally off point on a public forum. I think some people just find it difficult to read. It is really awkward reading comments where a commentator obviously didn't read the news

I think we should not interpret the law out of context. If I understand the CP, the law is all about the effect of pregnancy on post graduation training in the specified period on women. A pregnant woman is limited on many things due to issues associated with pregnancy, both physical and psychological. From that point of view, it is difficult to effect it on men.

Please I am not a chelsea fan but I don't think he showed favouritism to Brits in my opinion. How many Brits were in that team to start with? How many Brits did he buy when he had opportunity to buy players? When Timo came, he was playing regularly, same with Carl. People complain about Mount playing but he ione of the few stand out players in this poor team. When Giroud picked form, he was playing regularly in the team as well, Tammy went back to the bench.

It is actually scary to go out these days. No na, do a simple google check about traffic snares in developed cities and you will discover Lagos traffic is a learner against some cities in USA, China etc. This auctioning of cars, I believe came up when other options such as fine failed to yield results.
