but dont panic scan your 1st and we work from the code and the dead battery might be also that it nolonger holding a charge

jackal001: I have a 2008 Mazda CX-9 SUV. The car has been performing well so far except for fuel consumption which is a bit on d high side (understandably due to its weight).
One morning I noticed I couldn't operate the doors with the keyless remote. On a closer look I discovered the battery was completely drained. I jumper a 2004 Camry to start the engine, everything on the instrument came on and responded normally but the engine refused to start. The 'Engine Check' stayed on when I switch on the ignition. I used my scanner (INNOVA) to check but it did not indicate any error. Anybody with info on how to go about this? Am really scared to take it to the Auto mechanics because they may just scatter other things plus the high cost.

its not always graphic thats why budget for such films are millions they buy those cars may be 2 or 3 are used for stunts and during stunts if one get damaged they wont stop filling becoz the car is damaged, the pull in the second car

just like in stunts the actor aint the who does most of stunts it is the stuntman/women

the only things that are changed on a car when it goes to different country of different climate is oil, tyres and headlights based whether you drive on the left or right side

kingi777: d engine size is 2.2, 4 plug. filled a tank & drove round town, travelled 2 a town of about 110 km to & fro twice b4 it got finished within 3 days. On another occation, bought 20 ltrs & travelled to d same destinatiion (110 km) to & fro b4 d fuel indicator light came up. This is abj -kd express way that is double lane & smooth. thats sound normal to me you did 220 then the run around thats ok based on the engine size 2.2 litre dont compare your car with other cars without knowing the engine size especially if you are comparing an american model and european

europeans engines are small in capacity

what you need is to find the user manual of your car and see the MPG from the manufacture then we work from there as for now i think its sounds average

its a very common problem with nissans especially the almera and primera 3rd generation (2002–2008)

start with parts mentioned above and also just check your plugs the one we had last week we swapped plugs and it fired one time this was after we checked the timing chain and it was tied as it should be

some nissan forum say if the timing chain becomes lose it camshaft wont be able to picked by the sensor

what do you mean re kitted give us the full details of the car engine size, eg 2 litre etc

from my experience raving high before gear change means low oil in the gear box or old oil it nolonger have the quality to do a smooth gear change
with full details of the car we can give you the exact litres that you gear box should have

kingi777: tnx a lot bayooz! trying 2 fix d exhaust pipe issues such as changing of d net. Infact d mechanic actually confirmed dat d fuel consumptn rate is abnormal.

abnormal is what sense give us the details eg engines size, then how far you travel with a full tank and also your driving style can contribute to more fuel consumption, dont forget load to your car, the more load or weight the more you burn

engine flush is very simple it seems like most there dont understand it
you add engine flush to the oil which is already in the car then you idle the car for 10 to 15 minutes then drain the oil then add new oil thats your engine flush done

all you need to worry about is

whether the engine flush its self is a genuiene products its like you got to many fake products there and for the oil use the recomended one

any secondhand you buy you should start your own service history meaning even when the seller says i did a service history a month ago. that way you built your own service history and u will be assured that everything is new from plugs, oil, air filter, oil filter, petrol filter and coolant

it doesnt matter where you bought the car, what we want to know is the engine size of the car,then if any services have been done and how many mileage do you on a full tank

Airforce11: Pls I want to get advice on what I should do about my 2004 honda accord v6 which is running rich in fuel. The check engine light has been on so went for diagnostic scanning and the following codes threw up:
P0139 : O2 sensor circuit slow response (bank. 1 sensor 2)

P0157 : O2 sensor circuit low voltage (bank 2 sensor 2)

PO430 : catalyst system efficiency below threshold (bank 2)

How do I address these problems n what could be the cause of the thrown up codes. Other possible solutions to address my fuel burning rich. waiting for expert advices.

for the catalyst code change the sensors 1st then erase the code then drive and see if code PO430 comes back

the faulty part is the shift solenoid which was picked as code P0770

cars of today are very simple in picking problem which are connected to the ECU aka brainbox the ECU records what going on with car through sensors and when a code is picked which is record by the ECU that code point to the exact problem

its very rare for an ECU to go bad most of the time its the sensors that send signals to the ECU, most of the time AND you simply replace them and erase the code from the ECU

micklplus: 10 litres should give you about 62mpg according to the manufacturer ( HONDA)

For every 10litres, you are losing about 29mpg. Check you plugs. Is your thermostat in place. If your engine runs cold, you car would guzzle fuel. Is your 02 censor in place?

that depends if the previous owner wrote it somewhere in the car

no manufacture writes or print it on any part of the car its the radio serial code that lead to reveal code, here in uk its sometimes the number plate through phoning the dealer (car manufacture oulets )

kasino: Dear all, my brother went to pick my EOD from the port, the battery was replaced as the old one could not start the ride and the antitheft alarm horn started blaring continuosly,an electrician suggested that the horn can only be stopped using the remote key which is still on it's way. We had to disconnect the horn in order to stop the nuisance and am scared if the horn is reconnected the alarm might continue. please how can one stop alarm when it is reconnected and what is the connection with the remote key cos I doubt if that's the only way out.

The vehicle runs on like 10 liters of fuel for a journey covering about 35km( i.e
Akowonjo-Egbeda area of Lagos State to Oregun in Ikeja and back to Akowonjo) and this is really frustrating.
Please what can I do to remedy the situation taking into consideration the fact that the journey combined together takes like 3 hours due to traffic holdup?.

2.2 litre is not a small engine remember stop and start increase fuel consumption

average of those figures is 10 litre = 2 gallons and 35km = 22 miles and your car is 2.2 litre

i thinks those are the incorrect average figure for a 2.2 litre engine

100kms on 10 litre with a 2.2 litre engine Noooo in miles its 62 miles per 2 gallon

Good day cronies,

My 2005 Infiniti FX 35 goes off by itself mostly when not in motion. My thought was that the fuel pump was the cause as advised by a mechanic.

The problem started when I gave it to a mechanic to help service the fuel meter that wasn't working. After fixing this, he didn't connect back the return fuel pump hose.

So yesterday, I took it to a mechanic workshop and the fuel pump was changed with 2 different ones and it was still the same. Also the sound of the engine is usually high that it appears on the acceleratory meter, and also fluctuate, which was never the case before the fuel meter repair. As at now, Service Engine Soon notice is also on. It started a night when I kept starting it as it kept going off immediately after starting.

Now in order to avoid another try and error from fixing this car, I want the NL gurus on automobile to help tell what the exact fault is and as well recommend known pro mechanics that can help put this car back in order once and for all within Ibadan and Lagos.

the fuel pump has a filter if he throw away the filter and put back the pump it might block if there is dirty in the tank

sako28: House i need ur advice. My 2005 Nissan xttera SUV gear box is bad due to water leakage to the gear oil system. The issue now is if i change the gear box completely is it going to be 100% back or the performance will drop. If u have this problem be4 can u share your experience and hw u got the gear box issue fix. Im told the complete box is btw 350-450k. So want to be sure the gear box change worth it?

adanny01: I have seen many in the habit of putting A/C off before putting off the engine. Also, people making sure the A/C is off before cranking the car.

I imaging that people are doing so to less the load on the kick starter and battery.

I invite professionals here to lecture us as to whether the A/C compressor is active during cranking? If it isnt, then putting A/C on or off does not matter.

I do hear a click before my car's compressor is active and an increase in idle rpm. I hear that click after i put on A/C, on intervals while idling and immediately after engine has successfully started with A/C on.

Since i hear that click after it has started, i feel the compressor wasnt active during engine cranking.

Hearing from professionals on this forum will expose our actions in this matter.

remember when you switch of the car the AC switches off and when start the car again by default AC should be off this is controlled by a relay switch unless otherwise something is wrong

or may be the so called REWIRE messed up the wiring

since the drive blinks, am sure a code must be picked if scanned, yes you did scan but the question is the tool that scanned was it a simple cheap ones or those fully equipped one
