vitality22: Car gurus in the house, please i need urgent assistance. I use a Nissan Xterra 2001 model, if i depress my brake pedal to put my ride from Park (P) to Reverse (R), it will be hard to go into Reverse. I will have to depress the brake pedal 3-4 times in quick succession before the gear will go into Reverse (R).
Please i need urgent assistance on this issue, am waiting for candid advices and suggestions if you ever had such an experience.

fratochi: Thanks to you all, the thing is I really do not have much idea about vehicle terminologies and parts, as such it will be difficult for me to apply the ideas you guys have given me here, and that's why I would appreciate if you guys can recommend a sincere and competent person to me within mainland lagos.the SUV was just brought in from the states as such have not got a mechanic for it yet, please your recommendation (s) will grately be appreciated. @ youngchopper, the gear problem is as result of the fact that fact that the pressure on the accelerator is not proportional to the vehicler movement, scondly the auxillary hear does not work, in summary the car those not power very well, someone actually recommended that I should get someone to work on the ATF.

layday2005: I have changed the switch but no way. I have taken it for scanning but the guy told me until the check light comes up when i want to put on ignition. He later scanned it but no fault detected. Drive indicator blinks and jerks heavily if i move with force. Pls where can scan it in Ajah lagos? thanks.

youngchopper: am in south south part of nigiriya! U can actually stop the heating ur self. Guess ur caterlyst converter cluged. Open the exust close to the engine. Remove all the net substance found in there. U av to buy plug adaptor. Unscrew ur oxygen sensor (2) screw the o2 sensor into the adaptor and srew it back to the exust. If u cant do these. A competent panel beater can do it. Price shouldnt exceed 5k. For ur gear u av not layed any emphacy on it

youngchopper: av u scanned ur car ever since u saw service engine soon? Ur trotlle body need to be cleaned or replace if scaned. Ur heater is faulty if u experience heat on the floor of the driver side. Very soon it will enter the passenger side. Were are u let me knw hw i can be of help to you

JUO: please i will like to know normal oil temperature in a car engine, i also will like to know the side effect on the engine. i noticed that when my oil temperature is above 100°C's and water temperature above 100°C's, white smoke will be coming out from my exhaust. especially in holdup or can somebody explain to me the meaning of that white smoke. if the engine is cold you will not see any smoke. gurus in the house please explain

how many people out there that has used engine flush

well as some of one yall already know this soldier right here still dwells on commonsense

1; this are the ideas running through my mind; if a flush could rid the engine of sludge etc wat makes one believe this is where is stops; there are chances it might as well watches of the engine seals and create bores

2; there is a chance the crumbs could damage the oil pumps etc and get the engine choked

well i decided to have a check on the so called expertise views it turns out to be of the same concern

some argue it best is dismantle and rebuild ur engine than using engine flush

however, either waayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy engine flush should not be everyday stuff; it should and i repeat should be the last solution to the engine; it should be treated like antibiotics

wat surprised me most is that the so called expert in nl recommend an engine flush in every oil refilling

atikubaba: By flush I mean Chemicals are poured into the engine, which is then gently idled for a few minutes to make sure the cleaning agent reaches everyplace oil would normally go. Then the chemicals are drained, just like the oil would be for an oil change. As a matter of fact, an engine flush is often performed after the old oil is taken out and before the new, clean oil is poured in.

Please auto experts what are the benefits if any and the potential problems this can cause tom engines.thanks

KayB: pls i just got a fairly used toyota pick-up manual with auxiliary gear and my mechanic told me that the fan ought not to oscillate immediately the engine starts so he wants do something to it so that it stops but i dont know jack abt automobile so i will like some inputs from the professionals before ignorance spoils show. the mechanic also mentioned thermostat and regulation on the issue pls help me because the vehicle is essential for my operations. thanks

ckenneths: First thing I did was to circle the car, looking other marks and making sure I had up to 5 different things I recognized about my stolen car. The registration number was different from my old car but that was to be expected. So I walked away like 20 meters and made a call, I was calling a friend to come running to the scene with policemen since I don't really know the town very well and trying to stop whoever came to the park with this car alone will be suicidal. The friend I called promised to come with some policemen, so I calmly walked back to the scene and that was when my brain shifted into gear. I switched on my camera and took a clear shot on the car with the registration number, plus the man who has walked out and is standing around the car with his side to me. The picture is attached below.

I have one answer for you. Marriage is an institution where women do chores while men provide. Just like university is a place where VCs administer while students do assignments. Try asking your VC to do your assignments for you and see whether your time in that school will not end. Same goes with marriage, If you don't wanna do chores (and don't want house help) then don't get married. Simple! Don't forget that the clock is ticking against you o. Many women are out there eagerly waiting to take your place if you don't know.
