Truth is, nothing is wrong with your marriage. I say this in the sense of the ever present friction in every human relationship and the fact that most men (including your holy brothers) usually enjoy the excitement of the hunt and tend to loose interest at the end of it. Trust me, if he didn't think you were worth it, he wouldn't have married you. So listen...

1. True! You have to guide you marriage jealously but you mustn't imprison the man. He is the same man he was before you married him. Don't expect that marriage will bestow an automatic change on him. I personally don't think there is anything wrong with a married man checking out a woman as long as it doesn't go beyond that.

If you imprison a man, another hunt begins. Now take a retrospective look at all your defences he broke down to get to you. I'm not sure you want to know what the result of this will be.

2. Divorce is a very serious thing, you must know that. Plan A doesn't work very well most times cos people dedicate time thinking of plan B. Where you are at right now, you must not ever mention 'divorce' again.

3. Nobody here can advice you on how to get back your man. Most opinions you'll get here are from kids who may not even be in any relationship. Every relationship is different and so is the technique to bring it back on track when it details. Find your own technique to do the following;

*Better than love, seek understanding
*Communicate communicate communicate (do not nag be logical and make your points)
*Make excuses for the other (benefit of doubt)
*Be patient
*Be peaceful
*Recharge your marriage (you too can take him out - research his interests and be ready to make valuable conversation)

At the end, You'll set a standard so high that he'll dread disappointing you.

Disclaimer: it's not easy oh and it takes time and dedication.

Have fantastic life.

Car Talk / VW Auto Mechanic by dubem3(m): 11:27am On Aug 01, 2016
Hello guys, I have some issues with my Volkswagen Golf IV.
In as clear terms as possible, this is what I experience.

When you rev, engine power drops instead of increase.
Through careful observation, I've noticed that when I get my legs off the accelerator,
the rpm goes up just a split second before it begins to fall.
So I try to rev, release and rev again just in line with my discovery.
Sometimes it picks and at other times it doesn't.

Most times it requires a super slow acceleration for it to pick up.
This super slow acceleration is very dangerous for driving on highways.
At other times, it just goes off.

I'd love to hear from your thoughts on what my issues might be
but best of all, I'd love to get a good VW mechanic who will take a good look and possibly fix it.

Thanks guys.

Business / Re: Your Dormant Bank Account Could Put You In Trouble by dubem3(m): 11:10am On Aug 05, 2015
Truflame:
The best bank in Nigeria is GTbank. Make thorough inquiries before transacting with other banks. They can really frustrate the living daylight in you

Are you sure about this?

cos i remember opening an account in 2011 with GT, ran it for some time then it went dormant.
in 2014 when i went to reactivate it, apart from the hassels of reactivating it, it had automatically been changed to an e-account,
hence i couldn't conduct any transactions in the banking hall.
that would have been no issue if i didn't love flexibility so much.

Fast forward to 2015, i needed to change this account to a savings account and they said i couldn't.
i had to open an additional account despite not needing it.

After two weeks of hearing nothing from them i went back and you know what?
the account wasn't opened and they had misplaced all the documents.

Presently i can't even transfer money from the account.
They keep telling me i've exceeded my limit.

this is the second week now, CS people in the bank don't know what to do.
everybody is just clueless.

So much for the best

Religion / Re: Songs Sang In Hypocrisy During Church Service. by dubem3(m): 8:59am On Dec 14, 2014
daveP:

1) There is "Something" that make me:

Well everyone would chant back in response "My Helper!!"

So you mean that if you don't need something from the Creator of your soul, you would'nt approach his presence?

You're looking for Husband or wife, its only then you remember God's presence? Who know whether your motive for your church-going is solely because of the handsome Ben Harris or delectable Oge Alberta? What makes you come to His Presence? Ask yourself.

But you do come to him when ur in need right? Plus that's not the only song you sing so let's assume that's the one you sing for when ur in need. But come to think of it, the Lord is ur helper (right? ) and whether it is to praise him or ask a favor, something brings you to his presence.

2) By the rivers of Babylon: I myself loved to sing it because it had this feeling attached to it (you shut your eyes and be "in the mood of worship" ,but if you know what captivity really is, and how the Israelites felt in a foreign land. You wouldnt even want to sing it in the real sense of it. Captivity is no joke! This song is highly conditional.

so captivity counts only when Egyptians have held you captive, right? Am sure u don't know that being held captive by sin is much worse. Rather than what can destroy just the body, fear more that which destroys both the body and the soul.

4) I surrender all:

People weep under the emotion that this song exhibits, but imagine leaving the church premises and yet you still do "all" or "part" of what you said you wanted to surrender? That makes one a liar!

if we were so perfect as to say it and stop it immediately, we wouldn't need forgiveness this bad. It's our imperfect nature that keeps taking us back. What matters is that ur truly sorry and are making efforts

5) I have decided to follow Jesus:

Perhaps the keyboardist has an influence because tunes are soulful. "decided" is past tense, which means the decision was active before you sang it. Ironic that you may not even follow Christ, or be like Him. Maybe that's why some keep silent in some churches when this song is ongoing! Commitment is costly.

I probably didn't make that decision today so it's in the past but that doesn't mean the decision no longer stands. The issue here is just tenses

6) Joy to the world, the Lord is come:

Go through every line of this carol hymn and you'll see beyond singing it just every December.

maybe I don't understand you, I actually had to go through every line and yeah its a cool song, you should be repeating the sounding joy.

No wonder a call to go back to the hymnals would do a lot for Christendom!

7) Touch me once again O Lord!:

When the minister is about to be welcomed for ministration, this song is always sung. Funny some don't even know how God touches someone. The only context they understand about "touching" is when Bro Lazarus is touched to give Sis Tamedu a a fat envelope.

the problem here is that you are beginning to enter into people's mind. STOP! That's left just for God and yeah! That envelope is touching too, isn't it?

cool Faithful are you Lord: grin

God is always, everly faithful. But imagine you know this "beloved sister or brother" across your street who earns cash via questionable terms singing this song? My God would not support such.

9) I go rise and shine:

You've said it, you've declared it, but you just dont act it! Repent!!!

10) (which deserves number 10)

Are you guilty in the real sense of it? To dance is lively, to know what you're dancing to is another

Politics / Did Obhaigbon (igodomigodo) Refuse To Give A Speech At The Rivers State Rally? by dubem3(m): 12:39pm On Oct 25, 2014
I happened to have jumped in on the Amaechi 7th year anniversary rally or whatever it was called and just as I was about to walk away, I heard the mc invite the Edo state chief of staff to give a speech after the vote of thanks. So I slowed down and waited to get a little bit of grammertical clowntertainment. To my disappointment, we waited unending and he didn't show up. Till the programme was cut off a quick scan through the stations came up empty.

What could have happened?
Did he refuse or what?

Mynd44:
Why?

Isn't it funny that the same pastors that preach "Faith" and that "There is no situation that God can't change" are the ones writing this off? Is this a lack of Faith or a limitation of the abilities of "God"?

I believe God gave us the knowledge of medical science for our use and so we can make our lives better. He does not have to show up in our lives, he gave us knowledge so let's use it.
@OP,
IVF and/or Adoption

It is a lot better to have that and marry the person you love and you are happy with than leave that person and be miserable with the person you settle down with

I always have a problem with people equating 'faith' to some magic performing attribute of Christianity or people tempting God by trying to use his words against him.
If they were to have faith, what would they be believing God for? That their children will turn out AA?
I think I see reason with the advice 'if bearing your own children is a priority, otherwise you can go ahead with the relationship and adopt children or any of the many contemporary ways of 'getting children'.

If all that I hear about the confab is true, then it's truly been compromised.
I apologise but I haven't had the time to give a close marking to the national conference but it's hard to live your life without excerpts from the proceedings filtering in.
Change of the country's name
Creation of numerous states etc

What does the confab mean to you?
Do you think it is duly achieving the aim for its set up?
What is your opinion?
