PS: Nigerians need to upgrade, you don't need to touch back there when you use water anymore. There are bidets that can be installed and portable bidets.

Gerrard59: You are a BASTARD!
You knew you were broke, yet you had unprotected sex with a woman and want her to keep the baby because of "I am the only son of my parents"! And so freaking what?! Who effing cares if you are the only son? Didn't you think of the financial implications when you were thrusting?! You promised marriage is pointless because as you stated, you don't have money. To further show how stooopid you are, your being the only son of your parents didn't energise you to work towards financial comfort but rather, you spent that energy ejaculating when both of you are not ready.
I also blame the stoopid girl for allowing unprotected sex. Young women MUST insist on condoms if they are not mentally prepared to raise a child let alone for men who are not ready.
Both of you are stoopid and bastards! People dey vex for this life oo🤣 |

NeckingNgulping: Everyone has their decisions to make and stick to. In a situation like this, the girl can do whatever floats her boat. But you should know that life is all about taking risks.
The girl's decision not to keep the pregnancy isn't based on lack of trust or uncertainty as to whether the boy will stay or not. She's scared of what the society or church will think.
If i was the one, you either keep it or leave. My advise to her will be to abort, learn from the costly mistake and move on with her life. Aside society she is also worried about her career. Keep it or leave? Lots of women that are single mothers fell for that trap. Men also trap women. |

NeckingNgulping: Based on your opinion, she shouldn't blame the boy if she's shown the exit door. He said he really wants the child. He threatened a break up for the abortion.
I can't keep a woman who wouldn't keep the child that i want, especially when i intend to marry her. I won't force her to keep it, though.
She's going after the abortion. Saying he really wants the child doesn't mean anything. OP said he is broke. And just because he said he wants to marry her doesn't mean anything either. Lots of women are single mothers based on a man's false promises. OP is using marriage talk to control her and I see through it. |

Education › Re: Different Words With The Same Pronunciation by 1Sharon(f): 12:45am On Mar 06, 2024 |
Jewessgratitud3: Seen and sin are homophones because they have the same pronunciation. We are not talking about contrast between the long and short forms of the /I/ vowel nor the place of articulation here. We are talking about words that sound the same basically. No they don't. You're only saying that because Nigerians pronounce them the same. Listen to both words on Google, in proper articulation. |
Education › Re: Different Words With The Same Pronunciation by 1Sharon(f): 12:42am On Mar 06, 2024 |
rillchritty: In addition to what others have highlighted, 'seen' and 'sin' are not homophones; they do NOT sound the same at all. The former has the long 'I' sound, whereas the latter has the short 'i' sound. Note that these two vowel sounds are phonetically distinct and require different lip opening and tongue positions to pronounce. Unfortunately, Nigerian students are not taught to properly distinguish them. Another example is 'sheep' and 'ship'. The words 'save' and 'safe' feature two different consonants: 'v' and 'f', respectively. I think the issue here is accent. What Nigerians think is a homophones is based on how they pronounce words. |
