It wasn't really a collaboration between Ikwerres and Ijaws. Due to similarity in names and culture, the Okrikans(tho backed by all Ijaws) decided to play fast on Ikwerres by asking the FG to expel Ikwerres alongside Igbos from Phalga(then Obio-Akpor was still in Phalga). Their claim was that Ikwerre was Igbo, and should therefore suffer same fate as Igbos.

It wasn't easy for the FG as Ikwerres showed ancestral proof of land ownership. with the help of the FG, Okrikans and Ijaws in general coveted almost all the properties of Igbos in Port Harcourt township. and assumed total control of the waterside within and around those areas.


Okrikans in PH are all from Okrika and Ogu/Bolo LGA.. None is native to Phalga.

Ijaws man with help from FG chased Igbo from Port Harcourt in 1970s and Ikwerres begged Ijaws to stay in PH. When there are documents showing that in 1912 the British signed land agreement with Ikwerre. so 1912 and 1970 which came first.

The standard sharing formula is when driving into trans Amadi from the entrance ie from Garrison Junction, all offices on the right pays tax to Phalga, all those on left pays tax to Obalga. Ordinarily if not for that formula, confusion would have arose because of Ikwerre farmland system.

When the pandemic started both Governors were too lousy. You keep on hearing flog anybody who violates the order( Ebonyi).

Our borders are totally locked and no one can enter more like a tyrant instead of a democratic Governor ( Rivers state)

Many called it pro- activeness but it was outright foolishness and power drunk Governors.

It will be very risky to even allow these two dictatorial characters to rule Nigeria.


Now as at today Ebonyi has 5 COVID cases and Rivers has 8 COVID cases or so with all the lock down without planning.


These two people can't rule a country with such tendencies.

Firstly as a Governor you appeal to the people who elected you by explaining to them the actions that are bound to come not talking to them like animals.

Secondly , sit with your cabinets and engage the legislature on how to manage the situation and not running a one man show.

If these Governors had sat with their advisors and engage issues as it is all loopholes will be sorted out and right things done.


Both are bad example of a leader.
