1 Billion naira donated at 100,000 naira per person, will actually go round to 10,000 people and not 1,000. The funniest thing is that christians will foolishly justify why their pastors should have jet while members of the church suffers. That is what religion does to people. Not ready for arguments per say. Just expressing my views based on what I experienced, atleast I was in Nigeria in between December 2011 and January 2012, and the level of intolerance I experienced from my immediate christian family and closed friends, shows that we have bigger problem than we think in Africa. All you need to get people approval and likeness from people is to be very dedicated in church and every other thing you do doesn't matter. You deeds and true character just doesnt count.

Both christianity and Islam cannot stand without accusing every other religion on earth that negates their believes and teachings. They are the 2 most intolerant religion on earth. Main observable difference is that few muslims are involved in terrorist activities thus creating a very bad name for the tolerant ones where as most christians are very arrogant and want to force their believes and teachings on non christians by force, atleast in Nigeria. The discrimination against non christians by christians is worst than discrimination against non muslims by muslims in Nigeria
But in Europe, everybody mind their business that is why it is a religiously peaceful continent

I will try to be explaintory here but before then, some read Exodus 23:16. God does not lie.

First fruit is hard to do and many pastors don't teach for fear of losing their members but frm what my pastor taught me about it I will try to explain here.

First fruit is the first money that comes into your hand from your business on the first business day of the year, all your profits that day is your first fruit.

For non working people like students, your own first fruit is the first money that entered into your hand as a gift in a year.

For salary earners; your first fruit is your first salary after you might have removed your expenses from the salary, what ever remains is your first fruit, that is the bitter truth.

For people that do farming, your first fruits is first harvest u got from ur farm or the first gain you made from selling the first harvest from ur farm in a year.

Same applies to all endeavours of life.

Do you know how many of our problems will be solved if we say let us analyse our problems and put checks and balances in place to solving them rather than following the religious direction which says let us pray and leave everything in the hands of god? Its like saying you don't want to be responsible for your actions and that is the reason why your country Nigeria is today a hell of a place to live in. People go to church and mosque to pray for most basics things they can solve by just doing the right things and also, you see people suffering from poverty giving their little money to so called men of god who have fleets of cars, jets and several properties because they believe that prayer from these men of god will bring about a better life for them but we all know it has never worked. Infact imagine someone opening a thread with title "the way out of poverty is giving". Imaging how deceitful christians can be because people decides to be gullible allowing others to think for them, making their brain a waste. Also another problem is that christians/muslims have this believe that anybody that dont worship or believe what they believe is lost. That is another problem common in Nigeria because they are just not exposed and closed minded. You Frosbel live in the UK and will be better used to a sane and very multi religious and multi ethnic community where people respect everybody, practice their religion and allow others to live their lives but the case is not so in Nigeria.
If you dont belong to christian or muslim sect in Nigeria, you are discriminated against simply because you decided to be rational and ask very important questions that pastors cannot explain. Why on earth will a smart person with brains to reason from common sense accept the status quo of its society? That is the problem. You hardly see Europeans attacking themselves because of religious difference as compared to Africa because Europeans have learned to be tolerant and allow other people to live their lives the was they want unlike in Africa where you have so many religious terror groups trying to impose their believe on others, killing innocent people in the name of their gods, while they have not been able to solve most basic societal problems like poverty with all their praying and fasting. Common sense requires that such practice should be questions if we are to remove sentiment from judgement.

Cyber is trying to say a broken relationship is better than a broken marriage because you can just walk out of a broken relationship but cannot do same for a broken marriage because of factors like children involved, emotional attachment(wife and girl friend are very much different and I believe you'll understand better if you're married) and legal aspect like having to loose 50% of your properties etc so you try your best to make it work.
However, god have got nothing to do with marriage and you only have to use your natural conscience, reasoning and experience to know if someone is best for you.

I also notice that christians have stood thier grounds. I think arguements wont help that much.

I use to tell people in Nigeria that they are in the middle age because they do everything the European Christians of the middle age did to non believers except to kill them. I am a black Nigerian by birth but feel happier living in Europe than Nigeria because Nigerians will not just mind their business by living their life and allow others do same. In my last visit to Nigeria, I was so embarrassed as to the level of religiosity of the country viz-a-viz the extreme level of poverty and illiteracy plaguing the land which from their believes and preaching, will be a contradiction of gods promise to them. People just follow religious leaders like zombies. You see them praying and fasting for the most basic things of life, which the western countries have solved about a century ago. My entire family feel I am a lost child but have long left me to live my life the way I want to after they couldn't re convert and bring me close to their superstitious christian god and his son jesus.
Africans will rather profess religion than to do what is right that is why the continent is still centuries behind with people behaving like animals and praying for things that requires common sense to solve while their religious leaders live in extreme affluence
