I don't even like the sport. And it's same thing for most Nigerians. They don't care. The game doesn't really make sense, people jamming into one another, rolling in the mud and injuring each other. No real skills, no flair , no real order. Who invented that football pitch WWA sef?

See outside of football, athletics (Sprint, long jump, high jump etc), basketball, lawn tennis, no one in Nigeria cares.

Spare us your epistle please, respect Nigeria for once.
I thought it was just Benin and Niger reps that would be affected, later learnt Togo and Cameroon were crying too.
It was the ever mouthful and boastful Ghana later and just getting to know that Liberia and Ivory coast are equally affected.
We'll deal with you guys and you wouldn't know what hit you all.

Benin
Niger
Togo
Cameroon
Ghana
Ivory coast
Liberia

Waiting for reports from Burkina Faso, Senegal, Mali etc.
if benin, togo and Ghana is affected, a country like Burkina Faso would be affected .Mali might but not really be dependent on some of these west African country like Burkina Faso .. Senegal on the other hand, they get theirs goods from Morocco , even Mali gets theirs from Morocco.. Ivory for long has been trading with Morocco .. basically, we are all in the west as we all do trades across our borders.. Nigeria also gets hides and skin from Mali and Burkina Faso, and other agric produce. To some extent, everyone is affected..

You are talking crap! Crass crap! Let me explain to you a few things. The ultimate goal of any government is to promote the welfare of its citizens. Whichever way you do it, doesn’t really matter. Also, the world has become a global village, as they say. Ghana doesn’t need to set up companies all over the place. A government has to weigh its options and work to achieve maximum benefits for its economy and people. I am sitting at the Singapore airport lobby waiting for my flight back to Ghana in a little while.

Singapore is a good example. How many big companies do they have around the world? But the Singapore economy is doing great by focusing on the service sector! Come and see Singapore has developed. grin Countries are building “smart” economies grin stop with your MUMU mentality. Ghana’s economy is growing nicely at 8%, while nigeria is struggling at less than 2% grin your economic growth is even lower than your population growth. That is disaster right there. Fuckeduppedness
ok my friend... Go and read about MNC . You just prove me to you are Ghanaian.. You all dont like to explore.. keep doing things within your Ghana.. I will continue to do things globally..

Greetings to my Ghana peeps as you go back..

MUMUdom:
You have done a lot for Ghana’s economy? I don’t get it. Nigeria dashed money to Ghana or how exactly did you do so much for the Ghanaian economy? Last year, Ghana attracted the largest FDI in West Africa, more than your country nigeria grin. Ghana is attracting far bigger investors than Nigerians can or will afford to do. Do you know how much Tullow alone has invested in Ghana in the past 10 years? Fuckeduppedness grin Go and find out. If I add all the big ticket investments into Ghana in the past 10 years, Nigeria is a small player in Ghana’s economy today. It’s painful but that is the truth grin

Even nigerian companies investing in Ghana are not doing it for charity, or are they? Investors go to where they expect to generate favourable returns. So to be frank with you, people like you should be grateful to Ghanaians for allowing your companies to even invest in their economy and making profits, which they repatriate back to your country to feed and clothe your people. Nigerian businesses in Ghana hardly do anything for the Ghanaian people. You think we don’t know what is going on,huh?

For example, your banks operating in Ghana do big social intervention activities in Nigeria, which they don’t do in Ghana. Look, you don’t know me but if I tell you just a little bit about myself you will be shocked. I know your country more than even you as a citizen so stop telling me all the crap about you going to school in Ghana etc etc.

Look at the development indices. Ghana is far ahead of Nigeria in almost everything. From life expectancy, inflationary trends, personal security, access to electricity, access to quality education, poverty levels etc etc. you Nigerians have to accept that your country is currently in a deep crisis and work urgently to bring your country from the brink. Where I sit, I fear deeply for your country. You may not agree with me, but I know nigeria well enough to be afraid for that country. Chanel all your energy into urgently pulling Nigeria back from the brink. Trying to form a superhero or superpower with Ghana is not what you need. Trust me. Fuckeduppedness grin
'
Talking about admissions into public universities in Ghana, let me say this. Ghanaians love to go their government-owned universities. My understanding is that universities around the world are encouraged to set aside about 10% or so of their admissions to foreign students. That is the only reason you and other nigerians get admitted into public universities in Ghana. Publicly owned universities are funded by the Ghanaian government.

Perhaps if you can tell me the big nigerian companies that are investing massively in Ghana, we can take this debate further. Let’s deal with verifiable facts, not hearsay or some dumb newspaper reports. I know what I am talking about. There is a lot of big misconceptions about nigerian businesses in Ghana. I am prepared to show how false and misplaced those reports are. Fuckeduppedness grin
Read your statement, here you are praising other FDIs but you do not praise your Ghana going out to other countries to invest. For a company to go multi national it means that they have been able to do something back home, and are major players to some extent.. keep in mind Ghana is not the only place we invest in.. There are other countries...

You are right,Nigeria is fvkedup place but in that fvkedup country we are still pushing on everything..it is in fvkedup place there are billionaires and massive wealth.. It is in that fvkedup place other countries look up to our movies, music, comedy industry.. it is that fvkedup place we still play a dominant role as Africa leading powers.. As a Nigerian I ask myself, how is it we are able to stand in that fvkedup society...some African countries who are in a fvkedup place cant still even stand but take aid to survive..

Forget what you quote me about Ghana progression in its economy, Ghanaians do not have purchasing power ..

I stop my arguement with you.

Perhaps you're not aware, some Ghanaian students pay the same amount as the foreign students. They are Ghanaian students who couldn't good grades but are allowed into the university in which case they pay the same amount as you did as a foreign student. There are more of such students than all foreign students combined.
bro come on, I know the system already..you are talking about fee paying student. Fee paying student paid in Ghana cedis.. at that time , they were paying 2000 cedis.. can you compare that to $3500... even if we say they were paying 3500 cedis ,that is not equivalent to $3500.. one Nigeria student fees, will pay 3-5 Ghanaian fee paying student

Crap. Pure crap! Nigeria exports financial services. Which financial services. Are you talking about nigerian banks operating in Ghana? Are you telling me that banks, insurance companies in Nigeria are kingpins and make their own rules and even control your economy? The problem with you nigerians is that you like to make yourselves more important than you are. Are you telling me that today if nigerian banks operating in Ghana close, the Ghanaian economy will collapse or even suffer?

Banks operate with depositors funds. The money banks have, don’t necessarily belong to the bank owners. They are mostly depositors funds. 2hich means the day Ghanaians who have deposited funds with nigerian banks decide to withdraw their money, that dips the end of nigerian banks.

I don’t know how it works in Nigeria, but in Ghana, it is the Bank of Ghana that controls banks in the country. The Bank of Ghana tells a bank to jump and the banks simply asks, how far. Even indigenous banks cannot challenge th3 authority of the central banks, not to talk about a foreign bank operating in Ghana.

Regarding nigerian students in Ghana, this is what I will say. Most of nigerian students studying in Ghana study in private universities, some are owned by Indians. I personally will never send my own child to a private university in Ghana, but nigerian student cannot gain admission into publicly owned universities, so they go to private ones.

The money you pay to those private universities don’t go the Ghanaian government, except the taxes those universities pay to government.

You that is claiming nigerian students pay fees in Ghana, have you done your own independent investigation about how many nigerian students are in Ghana and how much they pay? Nigerians are quoting all manner of figures, but have you done any credible research oinvestigations into the number of Nigerian students currently studying in Ghana and how much they pay? Talk is cheap. I challenge you to provide those figures, from authentic source.

The Ghanaian economy is doing very well. Currently growth is at 8%. What is growth in your own economy? Nigeria is the undisputed champions of world poverty. People are being kidnapped upnpanddown in your country, and you want to tell me about doing something about the Ghanaian economy? Have you done something about your economy?
We have done alot for our economy, in that poverty you say we are, we are moving forward. Let us use any African country as an example and tell me what Ghanaian companies are there and I will tell you Nigerian companies there..

I know your Ghana too well, I schooled, lived, worked and invested in Ghana.. so I still have respect for the country.. Your argument on Nigeria banks in Ghana is pointless. For a foreign bank even a local bank to establish in any country, that bank would pay a capitalization base fee to the central bank and this does not come cheap which is an assurance if the bank is to shutdown, the central bank can reimburse the people.. Dont make it sound like Nigerian banks came in without paying nothing and Ghanaians started depositing their money bla bla bla..

This is no arguement, you and I know that Nigerian students are much in Ghana..Ain't doing any research, you can Google it but you dont need Google ..At the time when I was studying in Ghana, paying $3500 fees in knust, Ghanaian student were paying 500 to 800ghana cedis..our population then was huge ... And you tell me foreign students dont help the economy.. a Nigerian student then, his pocket money was $1000 for a semester, 50% of that money goes to food and you tell me foreign student dont help in the economy..

And who told you Nigerians dont go to public universities in Ghana.. which Ghanaian university did you go to?

I want you to understand this, the Indians in Nigeria are the highest number of foreigners living and investing in Nigeria and it will be stupid and blind of me to say the Indians dont do nothing in our economy. If the Indians are to pull out today from any sector they are investing, Nigeria economy will shake. This is the same way Nigeria is to Ghana.. Please be matured in your writing..

Pure crap! Foolish talk! I expected something more sensible and intelligent cool you claimed Ghaba relies on Nigeria for survival. Tell me how Ghaba relies on Nigeria for survival and spewing crap. I expected you to name the goods and services you export to Ghana, without which Ghana will collapse. Very simple. Why is soo difficult to give us simple statistics? For example, Nigeria exports rice worth $500 million to Ghana a year. Nigeria exports cars worth $1 billion to Ghana etc etc. that is what I want to hear
cars are very expensive in Nigeria, we dont export cars nor rice..meet your neighbours(Togo and benin)..

Nigerians export so many things such as the financial industry (banks, insurance etc), IT, automobiles spare parts, electricals , oil and gas, Nigerian student in Ghana..

Note: These are made in Nigeria products or services I am telling you..

Let us take one sector out.. Nigerian student in Ghana, if these people are to reduce, Ghana will shake.. when Buhari came to power, he made dollars not available in Nigeria, stopped foreign transfer of money.. Nigerian student could not pay fees, had no money..You need to see Ghanaian school management thinking for alternatives..some went to Nigeria to see if it is true. Some do not know if they were to stop Nigerian students from school..That time was hell... just imagine, this was the educational sector alone, think of what will happen to Ghana economy..it shaked..

To tell you the truth, Ghanaians needs to do something for their economy..they need to run their affairs, there should be entrepreneurs, there should be industries run and owned by Ghanaians..

Dont talk like this bro, in life, we can never tell. There is a reason nature's has blessed and destroyed some countries. Congo dr that have all the resources, look at where it is..Zimbabwe with its resources, where is it. Etc...

There is no guarantee for Ghana having what Nigeria is having. no guarantee it will be fine.

Ghana who have oil, do you know how many percent is for government? It is 10%.. I think Gold is Similar.

You might have all the resources in the world, the question is : are you the one managing the affairs of that resources?

Note: it is not always by the resources, we are beginning to see some African countries who do not have the resources yet are doing well.. Rwanda is a perfect example, Seychelles, Mauritius...

I agree with you.. Ghana stands today because of the men in politics... They try to do all so as to keep the country organize but Ghanaians are the ones not willing to push the country forward.. The system have provided you with light, water and security, yet Ghanaians do not want to make good use of that and invest critically in the economy. All they do is to wait for foreigners to come over and show them how to invest.

This is different from Nigeria.. We have bad politicians who has given us nothing for Nigerians to excel..Nigerian is where it is because of the Nigerians trying to push the economy forward but our govt ain't given the people support...It is just pathetic..

the goods like textiles and spare parts or cars that Nigerians import into Ghana from Nigeria
are they made in Nigeria or they come from China ?

yet Ghana is not closing it borders because we have an effective way to tax those products .

there is Togo right becide Ghana
they also have a free port

and Ghana hasn't even complained
You have to make yourself competitive and stop blaming other people.

Nigerians go to the market and decide to buy foreign rice over local ones
no one makes those choices for them.

Today, local rice in Ghana is a big thing because it is cheaper and well polished and taste better
so people buy it, it doesnt mean we dont buy foreign rice.
textile is a contraband goods in Nigeria.. so any textile product entering Nigeria is smuggled from Benin .

Spare parts are not contraband. Motor vehicles above 15years are contraband.

Nigeria makes textiles, Nigeria also makes some spare parts which are made in Nigeria

When Ghana locked just 400 Nigerian shops in a town in Kumasi alone, your government and trade unions were organizing protest at the ECOWAS office crying xenophobia and free trade buh you're here shouting Giant of Africa because you have unilaterally closed your borders to starve yourselves to death. GUTA had always hated you since Kwame Nkrumah and you have foolishly gave them a chance to eliminate you from Ghana. For your information millions of Nigerians live in Ghana and do trade of imports and exports. GUTA was the one who locked all your shops in Kumasi. Now tell me,Ghana exports goods worth just 80 million dollars to Nigeria for a country who exports 17 billion dollars worth of goods outside, less than 0.5% goes to Nigeria buh Nigeria exports goods worth 303 million dollars to Ghana in a year.If Ghana bans your goods, tell me who loses more. The minister is just a diplomat who knows how ugly it will be if Ghana retaliates so she's going diplomatic first to tell you to comply ECOWAS protocols .Warning to your country if you refuse her diplomatic settlement. Ghana never needs Nigeria.
I understand you, if we all go by this, Ghana will loose.. if everyone is to ban, withdraw, Ghana economy shakes...all this retaliation attack won't help anybody..besides, Ghana is not directly affected by the border closure...
