Is it a must that ipob pigs must develop the countries they visit ?. They developed south Africa with their criminal acts to the extent that ipobs pigs were hunted and killed in broad day light. They developed Malaysia with hard drugs, they were developing India, with fake drugs and internet fraud, unfortunately an Indian died of overdose what happened next is history, innocent Nigerians where hunted and killed by mob action.
Ipobs are not the only tribe in Nigeria but their criminal acts alone has ridicule our country . I am not talking about crime.. Did I mention crime in my comment.. I do not know where this is coming from.. I am talking of Nigerian traders(mostly igbos) in the retail business in Ghana been that their shops have been closed and federal govt of nigeria not coming to their aid. |

olas24u: Biafrans came to deliver letter to nigeria for help it is not funny. If this thing had happen to an Hausa man, I am sure the govt will act on it.. It will not cost the govt anything to place restrictions on Ghana.. Either ban their airline or seize something of their asset for disobeying the laws or hold them for their debt.. Etc.. Trust me, ghana govt will open back those shops.. Nigeria has failed some ethnic tribes, afterall, these individuals are harmless people who left the country to trade elsewhere.. and if you think you can't help them, give them their republic. |

Chineke1stSon: Your current president overthrew a democratically elected government (which is treason in itself)..he locked up notable civilians like ambrose Ali, Sam mbyou.. e etc without any trial or evidence and YET millions voted him into power 30 years later..I kid you not that even shekau of boko Haram can win an election if he denounces Boko Haram in 20 years time (or even less). I second with you.. They are all same.. They all make me wonder.. It shows that they are willing to spend billions knowing that when they get there, they can make more money as president. |

shege45: Let me tell you guys a brief story. When i was in secondary school, i was the best student in my class. I was so good that I represented my school in any competition held.
Going to university, i still had that flare. I was still very serious. I read like a mad person , but due to some factors , my gp was really bad in yr 2 and 3. Regardless of the fact that I studied hard. Other years were good but it was unfortunate i came out with a 2.2 degree. If a degrees were to be given according to your level of seriousness, I would have made a first class.
However, i came out of school thinking that atleast its not like 2.2 is a bad result, It’s average. I tried looking for a job, but everywhere says minimum 2.1. I had to settle for a teaching job which i still do now. I have given up on looking for job because everyone says the same thing. 2.2 has made me believe i am no longer intelligent. People in my family, my friends , my colleagues at work all believe that i am intelligent. But my degree tells me otherwise.
Now here is what saddens me. A friend of mine whom i knew i was better than academically back in school posted a picture of a car given to him by his employer. He came out with a 2.1 (p:s he got that job without knowing anyone in the company,he saw it online and applied).Everyone in the department knew how he always passed his exams. Although i am genuinely happy for him, but I am sad for myself. Do employers think that we 2.2 graduates are totally worthless? Coming out with 2.1 is a nice achievement and many people who got it worked really hard for it but many factors can make a bright student come out with 2.2. I have been teaching for three years now and I sometimes ask myself, would I continue like this? I don’t want to be like some of my colleagues who are way older than i am and still teaching. I am 25.
An advice to people in universities. Do any thing you can to come out with a 2.1. Don’t let that no job thing fool you. Read , cheat or buy 2.1, but do whatever it takes to come out with it. Get it first then listen to the no job story because your story can actually change with it. As for 2.2, there is actually no job unless you have somebody somewhere. the fact that you rely everything on academics based on theory will make you have bitter experiences as you are going through. Think practical and believe it can be done. |

Princedapace: This is not about strength.. Shebi our soldiers are strong, why have they not won Boko haram war?
I'm sure u are quite younger than me to have have statement..
Many things are involved in winning a war or fighting insecurity in a society.. One of the major cause of insecurity in nigeria is unemployment.. If u have not solved that one, insecurity will continue to manifest in different dimensions.. look, I quoted you on the bases of what those mopol are doing thinking by protecting cbn money with an aggressive nature is to me a charade. I sighted an example in Cote d'ivoire, trust me, the Nigerian mopol on protection of cbn money is good unlike how it is in Cote d'ivoire.. My point is, with all those aggressive and barbaric approach, yet the Insecurity (domestic violence, rape, armed robbery, insurgency etc) is what it is. Even Cote d'ivoire as a better record in catching bad guys than our police with their barbaric style. And let me say this, nigeria major cause of insecurity is not unemployment but greed(both at elite and at lower) We all want a quick way to things . I have traveled within Africa and outside, African countries have high unemployment but the level of thievery(insecurity) cannot be compared with Nigeria. |

Princedapace: I don't get it.. He is a soldier.. Bro, cbn is a national asset and a very important one. It is highly guided.. He broke the law. He was warned but the Even his team mates will tell him he broke the law.
And also, baba, some mopol are worse than soldiers bro. I am close to the guys. I grew up among the military and mopol. Always bear in mind that cbn is not just like other banks o. It is a national property. Law is law. That is why they only use mopol for their network and those guys are trained differently. Mopol wey dey follow cbn money movemt reach 50 in number o. Heavily armed. if they are truly strong as you claim dey are, let them use their strength on boko haram or tackle the Insecurity in Nigeria.. Let me tell you what policing is, it is in the people(though we know security tools are needed). If you go Ghana, bank of Ghana no dey carry much police follow body but I tell u, go thief the money. You might succeed but them must catch you. For UK, how many of their police dey carry gun? Yet dem dey catch bad guys. Forget the "heavily armed ", those guys are failures. 9ja mopol when it comes to protecting banks money, it reminds me of ivory coast police.. For la Cote d'ivoire, if their mopol dey escort van, na so them go dey shoot for air as the van dey move. Rubbish people.. |

Ioannes: No African country can really make great strides unless it carries the rest along. Whether we like it or not our destinies in Africa are joined irrevocably. So I see as silly all these rivalry among countries like Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana, Kenya etc.
Insulting Kenyans and Ghanaians that they are black is ludicrous. Apart from the fact that black is absolutely beautiful, that is the identity of the African.
And other African countries insulting Nigeria with her numerous challenges is very myopic. Nigeria is best suited to lead Africa out if the woods to become a Continent that people see as Paradise because of her huge human resources.
Until Africans see themselves as brothers, we will keep roaming in the wilderness. you are right. |

Buterflyle0: At your words in bold, that is why this government is very focused on infrastructure especially the nationwide rail link as well as agriculture and further diversification into other areas.
This is to ensure that our GDP receives a boost and the effect of this boost would trickle down to you and me.
All great economies were built this way. it is a continual project done by the past administration.. The rail and agriculture was carried out in the past. I am not here to talk about political parties but don't try to brag about economy when we know it is not well distributed. When you know we do not have light, water, security.. |

Buterflyle0: Take your complaint to PDP who for 16 years of their misrule rule could not give you the utopia you want. I am not talking about political parties.. All I am saying from the old cliche "what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and lose his soul".. What would it profit you if you have the biggest economy and yet your foundation is weak".. I replied you to use the economy to ensure that the gdp per capita income is evenly distributed. I am not here to talk about political parties.. |
Politics › Re: Nigeria Economy Rated Best In Africa By Forbes-see Link by 360command: 8:14am On Sep 12, 2018 |
Buterflyle0: This is how you make an analogy
US National Debt - $21 Trillion - Debt to GDP 76% UK National Debt - $2.3 Trillion - Debt to GDP 89% China National Debt - $4.3 Trillion - Debt to GDP 41% Nigeria National Debt - $73 Billion - Debt to GDP 21%
Debt is not the issue. It's what you do with it that's the issue. Question is - If debt is rightly invested in infrastructure (that creates Capital Formation) or human capital (that keeps people alive & develop their skills and mental capacity), we'll be ok. If truth be told, a large Percentage of our National Debt was looted by the previous governments.
The conversation we should be having concerning our National Debt is - Is it sustainable? - What is it invested on? - How much would those investments add to the GDP? - When should we expect these ROI?
This government is committed to infrastructural awakening and is well on the course to achieving this with a time frame in mind after which we begin to get our ROI fast
These are some of the key indices that bring about an economical rating and yes as it stands now, Nigeria is the best economy in africa all thanks to this present Government which remained unwavering in the face of recession and maneuvered the nation out of those murky waters to the place where Forbes could now rate us as they have done.
Kudos to PMB and PYO.
A match made in heaven.
God bless Nigeria my friend, go and use that economy to fix lagos-badagry road.. Go and use it to fix light and water. What good is the economy when the per capital income of individuals are not evenly distributed. What good is the economy when people in rural nigeria are deprived from so many infrastructural development and social benefits. What good is the economy if you have it as the best in africa yet your people are in poverty... I spit on you... |
