I just don't understand this Buhari led government. When discussions are on restructuring and increase in capacity of the state to have control over resources within the state, the Buhari led government want to increase FG's authority over all resources. This country is in continuous confused state. |
All this noise is initial gra gra and playing on the sentiment of his supporters. Okorocha has challenged him to publish the report and state all contract details to completion of all contract award by his government. Let us see how this will play out. Uzodinma is a confirmed scammer and has nothing to offer Imo state. The one who the voice of the people rejected but is placed their by man. Has he ever published accounts since he assumed the sit of power? Yet he gets revenue allocation every month. Imo people should make him publish the state account monthly, publish any awarded contracts. I still wonder how people in some quarters support this man with unresolved efcc case on his neck. Just google his name. |
OkhaiAsein:Respect is one of the reason we are here today complaining without the effort to ask questions. The youths are the change factor in any society and the society depend on their restiveness and hard work to survive. I will never have a child who will keep quite when he or she is to speak up because he wants to show respect. That is cowardice. This government lacks the capacity to take advise. Critism was initially by opposition parties, then Human Right bodies, now entertainers. Any elder that fails to act like one, will be shown where to sit by the 'small boys". Respect to the "small boy" Wizkid. |
This is what happens when government fail to consult with stakeholders before implementing policies. Nigeria is a confused country, lead by even more confused persons. It is only in Nigeria where government can scam citizens that government has no business in refinery. Yet promised to built a refinery each year across a 4yrs period. |
Hope Uzodinma will not be different from Okorocha. These are leaders without any ideology and master plan for the state, unfortunately this has been the case since 1999. The only one who had a resemblance of developmental economics was Ohakim but he too fell short of some of his Ideas. Any state with large civil service workforce without adequtate revenue base will not development, coupled with unaccountable leadership. Any leadership with desire and capacity to govern should be able to evaluate the comparative advantage of the people and sort to develop along those lines.I am still waiting to see what Hope Uzodinma will do after 4yrs. I know he does does not have the desire and capacity to change anything. |
I think time has come when this SARS people should be taken care of in our traditional way. You can't spill blood of innocent people and their families allow you go free. If the legal systems to catch you, our traditional way will. |
Edo people have made their choice. If Otege worked for them in Kwara, no one should be bitter that 'Edo no be Lagos" worked for the PDP. Although both parties campaigns, where filled distractions and sensationalization of the individual actors rather than interrogation of thier manifestos. I congratulate the Edo people for their largely peaceful conduct and ruggedness towards ensuring that their each voters vote counts. It is not yet victory, until they ensure that the winner works for Edo. Any court pursuit to upturn the will of the people shall result to anarchy. |
The task force members are influenced by the BODY LANGUAGE of their boss, the Governor. Nothing good will ever come out of Hope Uzodinma and his government except propaganda. The governor that has the 'PLEASURE" to arrest and detain any imolite with recourse to court processes. I don't expect his foot soldiers to act any better. |
Aufbauh:Your concern as a Nigeria should be the protection of law and order. Anarchy rules when we keep quite to infringement on the laws that bind us together as a people. Will it be asking for too much from Nigerians to be objective in all the issues created by politicians; what is bad is bad, the justifying of one person's or party's actions or inactions using the other's will never move us forward. If Ibrahim Magu has questions to answer let him answer them, so also the AGF, What is bad is bad, no sentiment. simple. |
Magicians:At least he was seen in the act. All the dogs eat shit, only ones caught red handed eat shit. I am sure you will understand. There should be no justification for stealing. |
Using national resources as the presidential jet for non government function. It would be easier for the carmel to pass through the eye of a needle than for Nigeria politicians to do things rightly and give right leadership. |
GarangDeMabior:North Nigeria is a contraption of the British Empire. Just as Nigeria is also. We also did similar contraption by state creation. |
Which kind wahala be this, we are yet to recover from Covid-19 another natural disaster is looming again. God save your people, you are the only one who can give the real palliative and relief. |
seunmsg:Did some people give the immediate former president the opportunity to understand the context of his full statement that " Stealing is not corruption". But the opposition then over blew it and used it as a campaign statement. We are a society that has been so manipulated by politicians and the cash and carry press to look more on sensational quotes rather than deep analysis of full statement. The internet never forgets. |
wingmanIII:It looks better because they are likely managed by the missioneries. Everything Nigerian government took over from the churches have been mismanaged from Schools to hospital to whatever. The Catholic school I attended used to be headed by catholic priest, the last time I saw the school I wept for what it has become. Nigerian politicians are like viruses. |
engrchykae:This is the problem with social media, every one is a journalist with opinion while the truth and true story suffers. Nigeria or no Nigeria, Biafra or no Biafra, IPOB or no IPOB, wailers or hailers we will all exit from it one day and go answerable to our maker. |
sammysneh:One of the problem of Nigerians is that they always seen to restrict their view to personality. The issue of Biafra is beyond NK. The Biafran movement is engraved in the heart of every Igbo man, just like everyone, some people are willing to take this movement a little further and any vehicle available becomes a medium. The question we should be asking ourselves should be even in our diversity how can we have a country we believe In, just like every American would say God bless America, in God we trust. The simple answer, is Justice and equity for all. No country progresses when the leaders just emphasises on "let live in peace with one another" without resolving underlying issues of association. We all know the fundamental issues with Nigeria but we allow politicians manipulate us and keep ever dissunited to thier own benefit. That way we can never come together to demand social justice and accountability. IPOB members die for what they believe in, can those against them who believes in Nigeria die for Nigeria? The answer is NO. |
Sick country. In a sane country,is this man not supposed to be cooling of in prison? |
rxmusa:The Blackman nation has a very complicated way of solving problems, because of our complicated system. we know the truth but will keep dancing round problems and the issues lingers for ages and become a sour. What is the root issue in Southern KD? Asking people to live in peace without justice for all parties cannot have a lasting solution. |
saaron:It is obvious that we are not one and will never be one with the North. They are totally different in culture, religion and political system. How can a country so divided allow religious laws within it constitutional laws and expect to move forward? Let this country breakdown into country of like minds. It is funny how some people claim to be muslim states but will cry to high heaven when some other state claims to be christain states. What a country. |
Ilaumoh:I don't expect any thing less from Akwa Ibom other than quick development being a coastal state. If only the state government can eradicate vices inimical to investment, such as cultism and others. Same to Bayelsa, Cross River |
NigerianSage:There is more tax awareness now and not necessarily by the work of consultant. I think it is wrong by IRS not to employ the best brains and experienced professionals from the established firms. Overtime tax payers have complained about the attitude and the level of competence of LIRS employees. The problem with the SIRS is the failure of trainings and development. The private firm invest heavily to constantly keep their employees updated with new development. The main problem is the collapse of our civil service, hence the subcontracting of tax collection and management to private person, which is not totally bad but a lazy way of solving a problem. |
People commit this crimes and get away. I will always advocate for cctv in businesses places and residential homes. This will help tract crimes. Those who live by sword die by sword. Of what gain is cultism to him now and his family. These crimes is emboldened by failure of the government to provide inspirational leadership. The family units are in serious attack from our failed society. |
Two power drunk individuals. Igbokwe is not respected in the gathering of Igbos because of how he talks. Naturally he should be most senior person in the party in terms of longevity but he has no constituency or supporters and has not done enough to gather the Igbos in Lagos under one roof even if all persons will not support APC. This young man should came down, the position does not take away the fact that he is one with a constituency and if he plays his politics well will achieve more than just being a propagandist like Jerry Igbokwe. |
We are gradually becoming a highly policed state, the saddest thing about this, is that the government is not doing enough to flush out criminal but can flex muscle with law abiding citizens. Has the government explained to the churches in the form of stakeholder interaction what they intend to achieve with this regulations. We agree that some regulations should be in place to weed out scammers parading as MOG and to properly seperate the church from other businesses. Any reasonable government will do well not to mess around with religion without a sincere heart or intention. |
Great interview from a great mind. An intelligent business man making a case study for burdening entrepreneurs. No country develop by depending on foreign consumption. Our discussion should rather be on how the company can produce affordable cars for Nigerians. Products will get better over time with internal consumption, which will make company invest more in R&D. The company can in the future develop and build their own engine. Car parts are not completely produce by the auto brands, they source most parts from other companies that specialises in making those parts. For example, Bosch produces lot of parts for the auto industry. This man could have invested in neighbouring countries but chose to do in Nigeria. Please let encourage our own, it make sense to do so. |
contigiency:Please explain what is in his comment that constituted national threat. What did he say that APC stalwarts from Lier Muha, BAT to PMB did nor say worst pre-2015 and even uptil now. I am very happy that the government is heading this way, atleast he is doing everything within his power to destroy this country. Some of us said it but some people of lesser mind will term us a name and tag us to some other names We all knows those playing their part in this madness, they should know that their children and grand children will pay for the sins of their fathers when it begins. It will never be the blood of the innocent masses that will be sacrificed for a new nigeria, because their blood is crying for justice. And for those supporting evil in this platform, internet never forgets. |
Very unfortunate how the country is gradually falling into tyranny in democracy. Info fm should go to court. Listeners like I will be willing to support with legal cost. We need to test this penalty in court. |
NOETHNICITY:This not a matter of being a sour looser, APC and PDP are same. Have any of them rejected members of the other party from joining ranks, No. This same posture PDP is today was same APC was before winning the 2015 election and has also continued to be in that position today, always blaming the PDP but forgetting that the major actor in PDP are now APC, and nothing has changed for the better. Since non of the two parties have strong and strict Ideology, let no one come here to tell stories over the other. Our yesterday is gone, today we have, to make a better tomorrow. |
nzeobi:Nigerians should embrace cctv at homes and businesses to help resolve crime investigations. I think there should be sensitization on the importance of this little devices to security of life and property. I think there should be a law mandating certain business in certain locations and estates to have cctv. It has been found that cctv discourages criminals. People get security and tracking devices for their cars but leaves the home prone to security breaches. I hope the police is able to get the killers. |
NOHOLDSBAR:My take on this; Obasanjo's comment goes beyond the late senator, but to all politicians and evil persons that they may escape judgement here on earth but death is something they will not escape. People should look beyond the comment including BAT. |
rdokoye:That is exactly what he should have done. There are many easterners who appreciate the development in Akwa Ibom, and the effect it will have on the industrialization in that region. It is only people of little mind who come on social platforms like Niaraland to insult group of people. |
