Vickygarl:Let the man handle her mother. The average family is already having so much pressure in our present society, let control those within our means. |
Vickygarl:For whatever reason, so slapping back solves the problem? Would she have slapped her mother in retaliation? There is no way an intelligent husband will support her mother when the mother is wrong but when the wife slaps in retaliation, it changes the whole equation. Although shit happens, couples need to be wise. Marriage is a school no one graduates but get a certificate before entry. |
1Sharon:So too you marriage is all about Bleep? |
Matter don judge itself. I no need to contribute... |
Newboss:So what is your advice? to continue buying completely finished goods without Nigeria adding any value? We sell crude oil, and buy refined product, we sell cocoa and buy chocolate. Have asked yourself what challenges manufacturer face in Nigeria? No power, no steel, no mineral industry. Even USA import lots of the OEM from china, can you see trade war now between china and USA We have to start somewhere, over time we will get better, provided the government does it own part. I think we should all be critical thinkers and provide solutions in order to improve the existing status. |
Is this confirmed? |
akdjr:You are as big as you aspiration, If the gate man and others of his like and level of thinking want to remain like this. that is their own problem. Nigerians said the IPOB were insulting and aggressive, now they devise a peaceful means you are antagonizing them . Everyday you hear people lamenting on radio programs about the problems of the Nigeria state yet nobody wants to stick out their neck to demand for a change. Do you think good governance will be handed to you without struggle? Check world over, it is mass action that get the powers that be to relinquish power to the people. I want a better country for my children and It does not matter where, when or how I die, who knows where, how and when he or she dies. Biafra mean self determination, some see it as restructuring and some others see it as disintegration of Nigeria, where ever you belong do something positive to make the country better. You cannot say that people get killed in battles, then you wont go to war, it's a proverb |
Resolute and peaceful. This show that when majority of a people agree and have unity of purpose, they can achieve greatness. Some will also kick against it due to their selfishness like some of the governors. The Middle belt people and indeed any other aggrieved groups in Nigeria should also learn from this to pass their massage. Whether the government listens is another thing. I will also love to see this unity used against the government in the East. Politically, vote for the persons who will listen to the people and make changes, and use this same mass action to get them accountable to the people. Let begin the struggle from for self determination from home. |
There is no security in Imo state. When almost everything in the rural areas is self help, where is government investment in security? Security is not only about having the most number of police and military check points in Nigeria or all about Python dance. The state government should come up with a good plan to combat all this unnecessary loss of lives by way of community policing |
ExplicitConect:Same template Okorocha want to use in Imo state. It is not wrong when people desire and work towards their goals but it is wrong when an individual by virtue of opportunity and position subverts the desire and decision of the people. |
While the NA has the right to carry out their exercise in the SE, It should also be known that same law grants the citizen right to life and freedom of association. If the people decides to carry out a civil disorder by a peaceful means of sit at home order so be it, I will have been much impressed if this actions are targeted at the clannish leadership in it, SE by way of demanding for good governance and representation. What has the governors done to improve the lives of the people. What limitations do they have developing the natural resources in their domain? What action have taken collectively to ensure this limitations are taken out. Have they come together to sponsor bills that will further amend the constitution where required to open up investment opportunities? The coal in Enugu what are they doing about it? Igbos should think and act. |
Sarkin:How does your comment relate to the topic? |
I think Lagos state government has taken up large number of road constructions at same time, some have been completed like the agbado bridge and many others pending. The slow pace of the project has to do with the limiting factor, funds. Badagry express road is a FG road and should be taken care by the FG. Asking the LASG to take care of the road will amount to stretching LASG purse. Let each government take up their responsibility and it is the duty of citizens to point out this issues correctly. What I expect the Lagos state government to do is to improve the ancillary alternative road like old Ojo road and to built more inner link roads. People should be able to drive from mile 2 to okoko without having to come out to the express road and may be to Agbara and beyond. |
Nice development. Won't it be fantastic if the various tribes in African can project their culture and tradition without bias and name calling by others? |
Ray97:Nigerians are too docile and timid when it comes to fighting for their right. If you cannot die for what you believe then you should not judge those who can. Fela said it all yet this generation don't learn anything from the past. Nobody will better this country except you stand up and demand for it. Take a look at most advanced countries, people went out in the Street, from ANC in SA, to Black movement in USA, to the French revolution, it had to be the common man demanding for change. So what do you belief in? |
I have asked the supporters of this charlatan called Okorocha to provide me the achievement of this this guy called Uche Nwosu. What has he achieved in private or even the public sector other than marrying Okorocha's daughter. What experience does he have in human management and wealth creation? For a state like Imo suffering heavily in bad leadership and under development, I don't think a neophyte like Nwosu can take Imo state to a greater height. it is even good that APC is forwarding him for the next election, he stands no chance against the the very much experienced persons with better history of achievement under APGA. With this insistent of Okorocha not to see reason with equity and moral, he may eventually kill APC in Imo state when his anointed one finally loose the election to APGA, I see great defections in the coming months. |
As good as the feeding policy looks, but there are questions begging for answer. I don't think it's a sustainable policy, more so that it may not adequately go round the country at same time as the north may benefit more due to illiteracy and high government dependency. Each region or state of the country has different needs or challenges, for example the east is faced with erosion issues and the school feeding policy may not be top of their list. The government should emphasize on providing the environment and policies that will increase employment and entrepreneurship, which will financially empower the citizens to take care of their families. The country need to development infrastructures; electricity, roads, medical healthcare, affordable housing etc. |
May their soul in rest in peace. Amen Although we are not told how the accident occurred, considering the nature of our roads and the variables associated with driving, both seen and on unseen, we need to control our speed. So painful. |
musicwriter:It still does not make sense, a winner need to get a certain percentage of votes from all the states. Buhari could not get that in the past if not for Tinubu and his gang. Except the south does not include the south west. |
So someone is telling me that Edwin Clark, will stock up arms in Abuja and not in the Niger Delta where arms proliferation is high. For what reason will he do that? This shows how stupid the IG and his intelligence unit are. |
This borrowed fund will be looted or will go back to China by way of contracts to Chinese firms yet no commensurate infrastructure will be left behind while debt have been left for future generation to bear with after some other person worked hard to write off the country's debt. What is this government doing about Power & Steel, I don't mean actions on paper? |
Our governments can sign many mou as they like, they will not amount to sustainable development if infrastructures like power and steel industry is not in order. Also important is our government unstable policies which tend to kill the once that managed to stay. Will an average Nigerian afford the cars. I think government should concentrate on infrastructures and policies to boost internal production, then we won't beg foreign investors. They will come begging. See China for example. I remember when we use to have BEREC batteries, where are they today? All gone. |
This is by best take in the whole write The Aurus series and other newly unveiled products are obvious response from Russia to overcome western sanctions by reducing its dependence on imported goods and technology. Serious countries plan, our own is Saraki this Buhari that. Corruption this, anti-corruption that. Very soon even Ghana will leave us far behind and we will be bragging of our population. It is not about population or size, but quality of the mind of the people. Population will be an advantage when we can produce enough finished goods and able to sell to the world. Russia, good thinking good product |
PACT is not a good platform to identify the best candidate. They all have different ideologies. I never supported the arrangement. Let each test their popularity in the election. Just look at bubu, after some people collapsed there interest for him to emerge in 2015, what has happened to them, even Tinubu was side lined at time. If each decides to collapse their presidential ambition for one, have they also agreed the contribution each will bring into the government if they win? Will there be unity of purpose and ideology? A typical example is APC. |
Balet:God will judge everyone one of us including you. Is Wole Soyinka also an enemy to Nigeria? APC divided Nigerians by words and actions, PDP is only taken advantage of that, now that they are in opposition. Buhari's style of leadership is what is dividing Nigerians. Let a charismatic leader get to that position tomorrow and see how united Nigerians will be. |
JudasNaCarrot:I think Shehu Sani is a good man. This is a man who has the conscience to revealed what the senators earn as against the wishes of his colleagues. Even those who claim to be "progressives", who promised heaven and earth to the electorate could not even have the sincerity to demand for the reduction of their bloated income. The man speaks his mind, sometimes for his party and many times against his party, because some certain individuals made it practically impossible to have access to the president. Sani is not Sycophancy like many of those who go praising the president even when they know that he his not performing. |
ThierryJay:My thought as well. Somebody is not totally telling the truth. Let watch as things unfold on this issue. |
It is unfortunate that some people hinging on tribal sentiment could actual put in a defense for Mrs kemi Adeosun on this certificate issue. It would have been better for Buhari and his government to remain silent than for a spoke person of the president to utter this comments. This is not about an individual, it is about the law. If the government overlooks this, on what moral stand can they punish others? yet we want to be like the advance world but won't do what those societies do. And for those saying common N5000 offence. They forgot that forgery is a criminal offence, and once a person is convicted and serves a jail term it becomes difficult for that person to hold or contest elective position in government. I wish Buhari and APC well. |
buharitill2023:Can't you make your a comment without insults. Where in that write up was anybody insulted? Your comment confirms that some people are in perpetual auto mode. |
Until he is able to show by action that the life of every Nigerian is important then I will begin to believe him. Until he understands that Nepotism is also corruption then I will begin to believe him. Until he shows transparency in dealing with Nigerians then I will begin to believe him Until he follows the rule law, then I will believe him |
This Biafra thing will stop when we have equity and justice in the country. Presently, can anybody in this country hold government accountable for anything? The country is so messed up to the extent that the life of an average Nigerian is worth nothing either at home or abroad. A country where some state government are ready to go to court than rather comply to such simple laws as freedom of information bill. Our leadership at all level is just a fraud and we need to stand up and speak. |
