PoliticsRe: Rivers Is Not A Christian State, Wike - Punch Editorial by 3Ceagle(m): 9:32am On Dec 02, 2019
If some states claim to be Muslim state by law or by implication of majority and we have come to accept it that way. should we not accept Wike's proclamation based on Christain majoirty in the state? Since we choose to bring religious law (Sharia law) into our jurisprudence, then nobody should be offended when other religions or persons begin to make demands or lay claims to some religious right. If we claim to be a secular nation by words and practice, then the Muslim state and Wike are wrong but if not, both are right. As is stands now we are not a unit of secular nation by both words and practice.

Inshallah. Amin!
Every politician from the North in APC has always mentioned relationship with Buhari as their reason for being in the party. Therefore if Buhari was presented under the platform of PDP, they will also follow him. This parties are mere names but something has remained constant with APC & PDP; same politicians jumping around. If APC losses to another party in 2023, they will also move in block the the winning party. I don't care about this people, they are the real original scammers.
PoliticsRe: Lai Mohammed Booed At AFRIMA Awards by 3Ceagle(m): 10:39pm On Nov 24, 2019
This should be a lesson to government in Nigeria. People are more informed now than years back. Hunger and hardship knows no tribe, religion or political affiliation. Trouble is brewing silently and the politicians will rather prefer to gag the people than provide good leadership. Let him take the message to his bosses.

Did you ever believe the country has a future? This is a country where the oppressed support and make excuses for their oppressors. The young people who know what they want and have the means to leave the country are leaving in large numbers. These are professionals who can't take it any more.

Nice one, even though I am not a fan of Gandollar, I must commend him for the continuity of projects started by his predecessor. If Ambode had continued Fashola projects like the badagry road and rail project, some services would have started. Any governor that cannot build IPP for it own use and public facilities is a failure. Good project for Kano people. Eastern governors what are your plans?

PoliticsRe: Sowore And Olawale Bakare Fail To Meet Bail Conditions by 3Ceagle(m): 8:50am On Oct 12, 2019
Hate him or love him, Sowore is leaving his print in the sand of time. What Sowore case is showing me is that Nigeria and Nigerians are not worth to die for. Today where is MKO, where is Saro Wiwa. Gani suffered so much for the masses, moved from one prison to another all for the sake of the masses. I hear some people say Sowore is senseless, then, Martin luther king, Mandela and host of other were senseless as well. The myopic can keep supporting their oppressors.

Those who want to clap for these government can go on. I am diligently working my way out of this country.Too many shenanigans.I will rather prefer to visit. The government is always swift and decisive when it come to punitive action against the masses but will never be that fast in alleviating the pains of the masses. Can they also use this method to cut down cost of governance, including the crazy cost of maintaining the legislatives across the country? Nigerians will see more pain. The primary duty of the citizens is to hold leaders accountable but here, citizens are expected to be praise singers to those in leadership irrespective of performance. Bush meat will soon catch the hunter , if only my people go get sense.
PoliticsRe: FG Signs $3.9bn Deal With Chinese Firm For Abuja-itakpe Railway Construction by 3Ceagle(m): 1:08am On Oct 11, 2019
Realdeals:
Did China took this path to develop their own infrastructure? Nigeria is being sold to China unknownly, until we internalize our infrastructure development, we are going no where.
Very good question. The Chinese had plan and followed that over the years. The plan was anchored on using their human capital and internal resources and in the process have developed their own technology. This is the problem with black African countries, failure to mobilize internal resources due to unstable politics and policies, all emanating from poor leadership. Africa is always looking for easy way out therefore creating future problems. I have always advocated for internalizing our development, so that our people can develop technological know-how and competencies. Have they made public the actual contract papers? Like you said, we are going nowhere with the current model and China may will use these various contract against Nigeria in the future.

Cabals and bigwigs will not let things work in Nigeria. Things has been so messed up that it will take so many years to get half close to the development in advance societies. The so called big wigs are not interested in the local female league but are interested in the national team because of money and opportunity for foreign jamborees, leaving the main actors, the players, without their bonuses. Sport gives the youths hope and keeps them away from harmful activities but these selfish individuals will not allow us advance.
PoliticsRe: Governor Wike Commissions Ogbum-nu-abali Fruit Garden Market by 3Ceagle(m): 8:25am On Sep 25, 2019
Nice one from Wike, If only the state governors can replicate such project strategically in communities, the issue of street trading will be reduced greatly. I hope the maintenance of the market will be paramount, otherwise the structure will soon become a burden to the community. We as a people should be begin to maintain our public utilities no matter how small they are. Government should partner with private companies, where full government participation cannot bring the desired maintenance. There is also need to make it affordable to the common street seller.

Okorocha destroyed institutions and institutional processes in Imo state. He became lord of the state, removing his deputies and SHA speakers the way he so desired. Silenced every percieved enemy. And to cover all this atrocities was his plan to installed his son in-law. Ihedioha should ensure transparency and due process in his government by regularly publishing state income and expenditure as well as having quarterly press media chat to evaluate performance and feedback from the people.

PoliticsRe: Lagos: I have no ethnic group - Joe Igbokwe by 3Ceagle(m): 8:56am On Aug 16, 2019
olisaEze:
I think this man is just a lackey and political jobber, and most of his statements are tailored to suit his boss Tinubu. However, if you remove the ‘tribal lens’ covering your eyes, Joe Igbokwe has made a lot of sense. The confab report recommended the same thing. As a Nigerian, state of origin should not be an issue where you have been resident for at least 10yrs. And if you decide to contribute and make a positive impact on your immediate environment, your antecedents & capabilities alone should be the determining factor and not if your forefathers were the first settlers on that soil.
Joe Igbokwe is not saying anything new that we don't know. so i don't know about him making sense. APC, his party is in power, and his political godfather is a major force in the party, so he is in the right position to push this with his party. This how from 1999-2015 election, restructuring of the country was topical to Tinubu group but now what do we have? They have all gone to sleep. We all know what the problems of this country are and the solutions but the political players has used these sentiment and problems to climb the political leadership, and on getting there, they changed or suddenly become silent on major national issues. I trust no politician, even if he is my blood brother.
PoliticsRe: Cardinal Onaiyekan: Fulani Herdsmen Are Seen As Evil by 3Ceagle(m): 8:34am On Aug 04, 2019
Fulani's case is like when you shield a bad child of crime committed, he brings bad name to the Family. For the number of killings and land grabbed in the Middle belt it was be difficult for generations to forget, because without restitution to the aggrieved, how will they forgive and forget. The Reverend is correct, the Fulani elders should talk to their people to stop this madness . Buhari has 4yrs on the seat after which real wahala may began for them.

Yet some lost brain people call Nigeria a shithole while USA is peehole with sane people.

Just imagine, 22 people gunned down unprovoked. Last year, a man from his hotel room gunned down over 50 in a concert gathering for no reasons whatsoever.

Nigerians lack love for their country. Every country has her problems but patriotic citizens make her stand tall.
I accept evey country has got problems, and problem is normal in life, but how they solve their problems will determine the patriotic zeal of citizens and where the country is graded. Some of us ask for more, while some are just comfortable with the status quo. If you ate patriotic you will fight for the country to be great. Right now many don't see a future in this country and leave for saner places, at least basic life amenities are provided. Patriotism is not only obeying laws but also asking questions when required. Our primary duty as citizens is not to praise the government but to put the few in leadership in check. RIP to the unfortunate victims.

Most people commenting here on my dear state don't have a clue of the state but depending on internet fake news to give malicious comments. The man Ihedioha is doing a lot to sanitize the system he met on ground. I know most of the Okorocha's e-rats will not recognise the law on TSA, will not see the effort to sanitize the environment which Okorocha destroyed, they will not see the erosion site contract award to Arab contractor, Okorocha spent 8yrs as a governor, did he for one day publish the state account. Did he publish contracts awarded. Did he follow the public procurement laws? Did he give account of contracts and contractors used for all the so called contract he awarded or executed. How did he treat the LGA's. Did he improve the existing state own higher institutions before creating so many new ones on the eve of leaving the seat. On what revenue was he expecting such schools to managed with, high schools fee? Did he list the investments he attracted and the number of employment achieved? These are just few questions, I have many more. If Ihedioha bleeps I will also point out his shortcomings but before then let see where he is going, after all he just named his commissioners just like other states and the Federal govt.
PoliticsRe: Abdulsalami Apologises To Southern Leaders On Miyetti Allah by 3Ceagle(m): 9:33am On Jul 31, 2019
After apologies what next? We all know the problem, every state has autonomy over it land space as vested on the state government and empowered by Land Use Act as enshrined in section 315 of Nigeria constitution. Therefore the various state can decide on how their lands can be used. Some states has even gone ahead to pass law on open grazing prohibition. Is this association of herders greater than the law? Don't they have their members in the Northern socio-cultural groups? It is too belittling for the regional social cultural groups to sit in round table with mere a association of business men on matters of national security, otherwise called all groups.
PoliticsRe: With Abiola As President, Nigeria Could Have Been Spared Ethno-religious Tension by 3Ceagle(m): 8:53am On Jul 31, 2019
Buhari always patronizing people, what is the big deal about naming national monument after a Abiola, after all the past administration wanted to do that with a university in Lagos. The principal duty of government is protection of life and property, and advancement of humanity. Can he claim is has delivered on any of his campaign promises, some of which he has denied ever promising. The country need new thinking, we need philosophers, people of higher thinking in government. Not an analog president in fast moving jet age. A president who sits in Aso Rock like a king and leave communication to his over zealous assistants. No wonder there is always denial and refuting of comments from his assistants. Buhari can't unify our country in pursuit of common goal. A country where we recognize and respect our diversity and allow for natural trust among the people.

Hope this revelation clears the air on what Tinubu said that we shouldn't put all blames on herdmen. They've been infiltrated by criminals.
Imagine these criminals even rear cattle just to deceive people.

@nasoeb
Believe this story verbatim at your own peril. Moreover no information provided by the security agencies in Nigeria would I believe in totality. They will never do proper investigation before coming to the media, and whatever miss information created at first can never be retracted. This information is having so may loop holes.

This man is likely a chemist who lives in the remote village among the Hausas and doing is medical business. For the fact that he treats these bandits and their family members makes him culpable. The bandits arrested would have under interrogation mention his name as the person that treat them when they have gun wounds and our law enforcement personnel true to their methods includes him as a bandit.

Tagging him a leader of predominately Northern criminals is laughable and too cheap, only those with mischief mind will believe this. But unfortunately this is the last we will hear about this and people will come on social media to insult themselves because they lack ability to interrogate people who hold positions of responsibility.

Tinubu said nothing because criminality is universal but only playing politics and divisive tactics to divert the issue on ground. I expect him to speak out against the bandits and ask the government of the day to go after these killers and bring them to book, If it were the PDP in power, would he have also made the same comment? There is need to take a deep thought.

It is good that this is coming up early in this administration. The truth is that successive administration left the drainage system in the state master built by Sam Mbakwe to rot away. The environment suffered most during the reign of Okorocha. I await to see what Ihedioha will do about this problem.

Really, accommodating the Fulani is not the problem, because they have always been around our towns and villages. Playing by the rule of the native indigenous people is the problem. The people say ranch and they refused, rather demanding lands that do not belong to them. Can any body from the south go up north to make such demands? secondly, who are you releasing the land to, Nigerians or West African Fulani? Look at the level of destruction this people have coursed up not and middle belt. I guess your comment is just a sarcasm to follow in line with the word of Mr President Buhari.

FamilyRe: Ngor-Okpala Imo State Marriage List That Got People Talking by 3Ceagle(m): 9:00am On Jul 21, 2019
First, list is not drawn by a family but the community elders. List is to test the resolve of a man to get married, when some guys don't take the extra pain to get married, they don't tend to respect and appreciate the marriage institution. Most people who complain are those who have no knowledge of how to go about it. When a list is given, get people who understand traditions and they will tell you how to go about it. It is never compulsory to do exact, Some of our parents get lost in the city and their children too loose touch with traditions.

PoliticsRe: Why Do Igbos Hate Buhari? - Mustapha Gembu, Hausa Activist by 3Ceagle(m): 12:41am On Jul 14, 2019
Is Buhari really a true Nationalist and a Democrat? The answer is No. His comment on issue of his religious belief and tribal actions over the years he was not government is well documented. I don't hate him but I don't think he is the right leader to keep the sanctify of a peaceful secular state like Nigeria. Musa Yar Adua was Fulani/Muslim but he was embraced by all including the Igbos, so also Abiola Yoruba/Muslim. Why? Because both men have more nationalistic posture and understand the secular nature of Nigeria and have respect for the various tribal element in the country. Hyped Integrity and self sanctimonious adulation is not enough to lead and unite a diverse country like ours. Based on what we have on ground today, can any rational thinker claim that Buhari has met his campaign promises in the past 4yrs or galvanized all section of the country towards a common goal?
PoliticsRe: Stop Igbo Governors From Driving Away Fulani Herdsmen – Northern Groups Tell PMB by 3Ceagle(m): 6:24pm On Jul 12, 2019
It's amazing how this issue continued to linger. First the state have control over their land space, therefore can determine, how the state asset can be utilized for the common good of the indigenes and the larger society. Secondly, who is this Fulani requesting the states (indigenes) to forfeit their land, is the Nigerian or other west african Fulani? Even though we are all migrants on earth, is this enough to want to forceful take people property away in the name of one Nigerian. Can Fulani claim to be indigenous to the space called Nigeria? This people plus Buhari should know that the Governors are standing on the position of the indigenous people. The herders has been given 2 options, Ranch or transport. It is the landlord that gives conditions not the tenant. Period.
