I have friends who left the shores some 12 years ago, they are done building their private homes in the their villa and are now buying up properties in the city. It is no easy down there but if you are focused and hardworking, you will surely have a decent live. In Nigeria, it like pouring water to basket, waste of effort and time. Every indices stands against you whether as an entrepreneur or employee.

No electricity, business killing bank loan interest rate, multiple taxation, bad road, disillusioned work force, unstable government policies etc
As an employee, harsh work environment, low take home, low motivation, Shylock employment terms, porous labour laws etc.

We were thought that Saving = Investment.
How can you invest when all earning are spend on providing those items government should provide; quality school for the kids, electricity, private security, good home. etc

The economic would not grow without a vibrant middle class.

When you vote in people who has no pedigree working in government or private companies, this is what you get. Take a look at Ebonyi and Anambra governors, these are men who have achieved recognition in their professional field. The professional discipline impact so much on quality and style of government. The experience in managing man & resources counts. What is Okorocha's professional pedigree?
What companies or resources has he managed?
How did he make his wealth?
Who are his contemporaries?
When people make money by being close to government we term them successful and give them the right to manage our lives without any interrogation on the ability to do that.

South West has been progressing since ACN/APC took over our region. I'm sure there is difference now and when PDP is ruling over all SW (except Lagos)

Our region has agenda.. All south-west governors do meetings together to discuss how to move the region forward (Both PDP and APC). It will be better to have APC all over. That will make things work better.

As at today, APC in southwest equals ACN. Incase southwest decides to leave APC today, all states in SW will switch to our new party.

Going by you position, it will also acceptable if all south south states are PDP, or all south east states are APGA or PDP. Because the governors do also have regional meeting to discuss common goals

And there will be no need for ÀPC to try using state apparatus to gain leadership in those state abi?

Performance is relative, the man in river or akwa ibom will also claim to have performed or that PDP have performed over the years. Mind you Lagos is an exception otherwise, Lagos would not have asked for special status.

It was all a show of power by Okorocha but the court has spoken. The court did not only over rule the impeachment but also berated the state Chief Justice and attorney general for such unlawful process. Is this not corruption? It will also be right to know those " Dishonourables" in state house of assembly who voted for the impeachment of the deputy governor without due process. They should also be voted out because they made themselves a willing tool in the hand of the governor.

The OEMs that the USA and developed manufacturers buy are based on the product design that these companies have thoroughly and painstakingly worked on. If you're building a house, you buy blocks or mould them yourself, you buy rods, etc based on the design, and then you unleash your powers.

Guess what we have in Nigeria? "I like that car, Mr. OEM car manufacturer, I would love to order 1000 pieces of those. But make sure you dissemble them and not paint them when shipping it. I want to assemble them myself".


Can't these guys be original by getting a good designer? Even if it's a freelancer. There are people with bad ass car designs here in Nigeria.

What we have in Nigeria is basically the same thing as finished goods.

Get the design, do the painstaking research, then hit up the chinese OEM guys. This is what Apple and the rest do. Then when Apple is done with all the originality, a funny company in China will come and copy and put their own logo on Apple's work Then call it "kPhone"

We don't have the tools, but China does. But we have the brains here who can pull off mind boggling designs. Let's design it and give the Chinese guys to build exactly to our designs. We should stop rebranding OEMs. It makes us a mockery to the world. It's better to just be on crude oil and farming than to keep making a global fun of ourselves by doing absolute copy and paste.

Using screwdriver doesn't make you a car manufacturer. The innovation, research amd design makes you one.

We will gradually get to that level when we design and conceptualize our products. This is just one individual trying to do something. You can actually contract a firm via Alibaba to manufacture OEM products (TV,cars,bikes,phones,etc) for you and just label it with a brand name which you can choose by yourself.

So what is your advice? to continue buying completely finished goods without Nigeria adding any value?

We sell crude oil, and buy refined product, we sell cocoa and buy chocolate.

No power, no steel, no mineral industry. Even USA import lots of the OEM from china, can you see trade war now between china and USA

We have to start somewhere, over time we will get better, provided the government does it own part.

There is no security in Imo state. When almost everything in the rural areas is self help, where is government investment in security? Security is not only about having the most number of police and military check points in Nigeria or all about Python dance. The state government should come up with a good plan to combat all this unnecessary loss of lives by way of community policing

Same template Okorocha want to use in Imo state. It is not wrong when people desire and work towards their goals but it is wrong when an individual by virtue of opportunity and position subverts the desire and decision of the people.

What has the governors done to improve the lives of the people. What limitations do they have developing the natural resources in their domain? I think Lagos state government has taken up large number of road constructions at same time, some have been completed like the agbado bridge and many others pending. The slow pace of the project has to do with the limiting factor, funds. Badagry express road is a FG road and should be taken care by the FG. Asking the LASG to take care of the road will amount to stretching LASG purse. Let each government take up their responsibility and it is the duty of citizens to point out this issues correctly. What I expect the Lagos state government to do is to improve the ancillary alternative road like old Ojo road and to built more
inner link roads. People should be able to drive from mile 2 to okoko without having to come out to the express road and may be to Agbara and beyond.

Nigerians are too docile and timid when it comes to fighting for their right. If you cannot die for what you believe then you should not judge those who can. Fela said it all yet this generation don't learn anything from the past. Nobody will better this country except you stand up and demand for it. Take a look at most advanced countries, people went out in the Street, from ANC in SA, to Black movement in USA, to the French revolution, it had to be the common man demanding for change. So what do you belief in?

I have asked the supporters of this charlatan called Okorocha to provide me the achievement of this this guy called Uche Nwosu. What has he achieved in private or even the public sector other than marrying Okorocha's daughter. What experience does he have in human management and wealth creation? For a state like Imo suffering heavily in bad leadership and under development, I don't think a neophyte like Nwosu can take Imo state to a greater height. it is even good that APC is forwarding him for the next election, he stands no chance against the the very much experienced persons with better history of achievement under APGA. With this insistent of Okorocha not to see reason with equity and moral, he may eventually kill APC in Imo state when his anointed one finally loose the election to APGA, I see great defections in the coming months.
