Prof Wole Soyinka is one man I so much respect from the west. All the so called Progressive Politician from the west and east are bunch of charlatans and are the problems we have currently. The practice of jumping around issues with out hitting the bulls eye is why a certain buhari does not feel any pressure to act decisively on this killing issues by his brothers. If he cannot solve the problems, let him be impeached to serve a lesson to who assume that position next. Today I don't hear anything from Tinubu the strategist, is Amaechi still in this country, where is ngigi and oshobaba. They have all lost there tongue. As for Uncle Lai and Adeshina, they are default to propaganda mode. Prof may you live long. |
I am not interested on what he rides but on how he governs. I have nothing to say about the vehicle but I have something to say about his leadership. |
There is goodness in everyone, you just choose how you what to live your life. It is good to know that you followed the good path. Well done madam. Every lady on this platform should learn from this woman. |
GoroTango:You will agree with me that the states has the power to make laws especially when the laws reflects the desires of the majority of citizens. If the people of Benue state for instance enacts a law against open grazing and not interested on the colony project, shouldn't the herders obey the law? Please educate me. |
This is what you get when corrupt persons lead. I don't understand how people are still supporting this government with all the daily loss of lives due to lukewarm attitude of the man in charge. Declare these blood thirsty persons as terrorist, he refused. Arrest, investigate and prosecute those fueling the attack, no he won't but is busy travelling from one state to another in a show of fake sympathy. If a government cannot protect my life, why should I surrender and be accountable to state. I am tired of all the daily pictures coming from this various attacks, yet this broom carrying people who came to power riding on the shoulders of uprightness and integrity have all gone dumb and clueless. This shows that APC, and it leadership had no good plan for the country other than removing the last government. |
Chukazu:Okorocha will never be there when important SE issues are discussed. He is too big to be there. He is only interested in Abuja APC issues. Charity begins at home. The agenda will have been sent to him earlier yet he chose to send his deputy. Is this how he wants to sell APC to the SE? |
Okorocha wants to cover his financial atrocities. Has he ever published the state financials? A snake will always give birth to some thing long. He is free to support whoever he wants but it is the right of Imo people to choose the next governor. Imo people will resist any ploy by him and his cronies to rig the election. He is becoming too over confidence, may be because his party is leading the government. Very soon he will see clearer. |
For those who don't know the Bishop, he will always speak up against bad governance by the political class and the social ills especially when he has a congregation of political bigwigs. It's unfortunate that some APC loyalist had to play into the hands of the PDP. Uche Nwosu should have tried to calm the party supporters to at least show some respect to the bereaved, bishop and most importantly God. He was representing the Governor on the occasion and will have his time to speak which he would have used part of it to sell his party achievement to the people. I don't think anybody would physically attack the bishop in Imo state but he was disrespected. |
The only people looking for the presidency among the Igbo's are the politician. The average Igbo man just want a society where it can strive. Simple. The average Igbo man just want justice and equity. Ask prof. Nwosu what he used his position to achieve for his immediate community and you will get nothing. Same goes to ALL those politician of Igbo extraction. Once you place party affiliations above good governance, then you cannot speak for the people. |
kabrud:Preachers who want to make humanity better, and not those who encourage hatred. This things happen everywhere. Deal with individual comments and not generalizing a tribe otherwise this country will not attain that level of civilisation that you desire, that we all desire. |
If this Sagay man is one of those we trust to change this country, then we are in for a long thing. A useless old man whose every comment is divisive. The issue of Ipob and other eastern agitators precede this administration, and each administration handled them as deemed fit. Did he forget that there was and still agitation also in the SS. A man of his education should know that countries have issues and the way they resolve national issues determine how great the countries can be. With men like this as leaders I pity for this country. Always making senseless comments and some who has no idea of a truly great country will be seen here finding skewed reasons to support him. |
Ogbe and this government will seem to have solved the problem but will create huge problems in the future. Let states determine what to do with their Land mass and draw up the policy where they are interested. May be there is need to visit the provisions of the land use act. Government that has not utilized the huge land mass in the north for their colonies is loving the south and MB so much as to propose this. Let the government start in Sambisa forest, abi no be Nigerian territory? |
CioAngels:Westerners believe they are a liberal society, therefore do not believe that there is a fore agenda by the Fulani tribe to take over Nigeria as a conquered territory. Land area, culture/tradition and religion is what identifies us as a people. Historically a mere accommodation of Alimi so many years ago, has changed Ilorin from a Yoruba town to an emirate. As a country people should be aloud to live and do legitimate business where they want, allowing natural dynamics, but not subtly creating colonies backed by law to the detriment of the original landowners and to the benefit of a group. This colony issue is one every state in the south should resist. If allowed, soon they will start calling for implementation of sharia laws in the various states there by diluting and eventually eroding out identities. The north has a enough land area that can be agriculturally developed. What are they looking for in the south? |
Iamzik:Some of us have lost hope in this country until our youths begin to think and act towards the good of everyone in this country. It baffles me how a people will chase after form rather the substance, focus on the messenger and not the message. The youth have lost their conscience and privileges to contribute to the national leadership. Your parents suffered in this country, you are suffering in this country yet most youth don't see the agitation all over the country as an opportunity to set things right for our offsprings. I weep for this country. A shithole indeed. |
jesusloveyou55:Your people should better sit down and discuss the issue. Jonathan has done enough to attract the school in the region. The worst either or both side can do apart from killing themselves is to blow up the pipelines and the Nigeria state will be much happy to militarize the region period. It will just be a Pyrrhic victory for any of the two sides if this happens |
bamidelee:The charlatan is just playing to the gallery. If he had attracted industries, provided electricity to the numerous communities, improved health care, then he can commit some of these madnesses and still have a soft landing . Okorocha is just an ambitious, selfish person, what is his ideology? How many parties has he been in? I guess if the presidency shift to another party, he okorocha would shift too. Is that want makes him know politics? That is your Nigerian type of politician. Should your governor be in same party with the president to deliver the dividend of democracy?certainly not. |
Court of public opinion, please let establish facts. 1. Was the sale authorised by him or Federal Executive Council? 2. Did he have right of first refusal? 3. Did he pay the established price for the asset? If the answer is FEC, YES and YES. Then EFCC has no case, and should stop wasting public resources pursuing shadows. We all know how public officers use their position to acquire public assets, but if it is done using the very laws then the public has no case. |
The innoson vs gtb issue is simple business disagreements which can be resolved in court. If we truly believe in justice, then let EFCC take him/innoson motors to court if they established he forged some documents to obtain loan from GTB. EFCC cannot be the accuser and the judge as same time. It is unfortunate how EFCC continue to loose respect and recognition of average Nigeria due to their mode of operation. How has arresting and detaining individuals solved the various corruption cases they are handling. Key to winning a case is to prove beyond doubt that a crime had been committed. |
Uteghe:Most people make comment without confirming how authentic the source is. Let assume, the comment was made by wike, then to who, where and when. In what context was it made. I won't be surprised if Wike's camp come up tomorrow to deny ever making such comment. This is the more reason people shouldn't come to this platform to engineer tribal sentiment and abuse. I believe FFK being an unrepentant PDP member and a close ally to most of the vocal PDP members in the south, he won't jump in without certainty that wike made those statement. |
Imo state need more of his type to declare and contest the governorship position. At least, we all know where he is coming from and people can actually do research on him and others from the business world who may have interest. But the question is, will Imo people really scrutinize the next contestants very well before casting there votes? |
InvertedHammer:The most docile part of our society in Nigeria is the so called "well educated" people. The education system trained them not to ask questions or stand up to be counted for what they believe. Okorocha is a disease that has infested and rendered IMO state helpless because the so called educated people cannot provide antidote to his influence. |
Abagworo:The questions should be, What is the effect of this policy on the people? Will it drives cost of transportation higher? What are the alternatives? What is the cost of the alternatives to the people in the affected area? Are there enough alternatives? What is the statement government plan to alleviate the effect of this policy? The government need to let the people know what they are doing and let it be seen that they are doing what they say. Not carrying out one part of the social agreement and leaving out the other, which is the most important. |
That is the man some people see as the only Igbo man good for the position of the President. What a funny president he will be. |
Nothing new from Okorocha can surprise me, in short Nigerians have seen nothing yet. When some people of independent mind pick up issues with the way and manner Okorocha has be governing the state, some of his fellow charlatans on this platform will reduce the issues to party level. It serves my people right because they got carried away by his oratory and never properly assessed his ability to rule uprightly. If they don't start now to pull down his plans to install the next governor, it will be another 16 wasted years. It is time for people of great minds in the state to stand up and count. Okorocha is a mistake willfully made by Imo people.. |
wolesmile:We don't probe and search the true personality of these so called Leaders. So, they take everyone for granted. |
Why is our politicians jumping all over the places? Greed. So Ubah just realized that APGA was registered for Ndi Igbo to chart their own political leadership and development? I am not convinced of his intentions other than trying to position himself for future governorship elections. Well, he has the right, if only he will not create crisis in the party. Has he settled the outstanding allowances of his player? It will be difficult to unseat Obiano in the November election. |
Igboid:I agree we you in totality. Further to comment, it will be good to see some research done by our Igbo historians and linguist in the academia. The problem with Africans is that we have always left research study of ourselves to the white world, who rightly are always thirsty for knowledge. This goes to other spoken languages in Nigeria too. |
With the amount of talent spread over the country and the dart of quality coaching system in the country any good move by any of the state governors should be encouraged and not viewed with scorn. The sport world has moved into scientific mode and Nigeria need to move with it. If we have the presence of these big clubs in Nigeria it will help to impact positively on our local coaching and better scouting of our young players if all goes well. All we need to know is the details of the agreement reached between Rivers state govt and Real madrid. |
It will only take a discerning mind to understand the Bishop's position and many will not, because they have chosen what to believe. Thank God that some clergies are speaking against these ills in our society. Let he who has ears listen. |
EMMAUGOH:That is exactly what is happening, when some us point out the leadership qualities deficiency in Okorocha, his supporters and especially the non Imolites and non lgbos attributes it to political reasons. It's really unfortunate and mischievous that same people who attacked us for rejecting Okorocha as an Igbo leader are now attacking Igbos in general for Okorocha's misdeeds. |
Happy birthday Fash, great striker in his days in England, it's a pity Justin could not persevere a bit more, he would have been around today, Nigerian where are the other Nigerian players of that period, John Chidozie, Evan Ekoku, Reuben Agboola. They do come to Nigeria? |
This is the one of the elders Nigerians want the Igbo youths to listen to. People without credibility. How will the youth listen them. |

Where's FFK, the self made defender of Yoruba interest.
