No, there isn't. Any attempt to define 'classy' would at best be an emotive exercise carried out in the prism of the person's world-view. In other words, it is highly subjective.
Full Definition of CLASSY\ˈkla-sē\ (merriman-webster's dictionary/encyclopedia brittanica)

: having or showing class: as
a : elegant, stylish <a classy clientele>
b : having or reflecting high standards of personal behavior <a classy guy> <a classy gesture>
c : admirably skillful and graceful <a classy outfielder>
— class·i·ness noun
First used in 1891.
Synonyms
elegant, courtly, fine, graceful, handsome, majestic, refined, stately, tasteful

Antonyms
dowdy, graceless, inelegant, styleless, tasteless, unfashionable, unhandsome, unstylish

On what premise are you denying Nicki Minaj as being 'classy'. I hope her supposed 'indecorum' has nothing to do with Anaconda? grin
That video was the direct opposite of classy. most of her videos aint classy. even in the western 'modern/liberal' world her dressing(just one of the factors in defining classiness, i know) is not classified as classy -yes i watch fashion police and am not ashamed to say it angry grin . Niki minaj is sexy and my dream crush like i have stated here before. But she is not classy.

This is at best simplistic. 'Beyonce has class' because? 'Amber Rose doesn't' because?

This assertion belongs to the realm of opinions.
Nothing wrong in being simplistic. Though i agree with the other poster that beyonce was not the best example to use. But Beyonce still has more class (less provocatively dressed, more respectable, less crude, more graceful, more refined) than amber rose.

Bro instead of using Beyonce as the poster girl for class over Amber Rose, I'd rather use Michelle Obama. - I honestly don't believe there's much difference between the former two.

What do you think?
I think Michelle Obama doesn't have a choice.

You folks are gradually diverting from the point.

There is a worldwide definition of 'classy' and we all know it. Kim K might be stylish, pretty, confident etc but she definitely isn't classy. And neither is Nicky Minaj. And just because you think you are classy doesn't make you so. You can believe you are classy to improve your self esteem or whatever, but at the end of the day there is a certain style and decorum attached to classiness that you know if you meet it or not.

Beyonce has class. Amber ross doesn't.

I advice the woman to continue grin

There is a case of a man whose wife did him like this, nothing new under the sun.
Eventually he found it was her, he recognised a birthmark in one of her nude pics and realised his 'bbm mistress' had never shown her face.

He decided to become more naughty and she reciprocated. She didn't know he had found out and he didn't tell her. Their marriage life spiced up like you wouldn't believe grin

When it was eventually over(when she found out he had found out) they were both sorry the adventure was over. But it was great while it lasted!

Let me share...

I and wify(sic) came back from a church programme 8pm on Tuesday. She asked If I will join her in the indomie noodle she was preparing for dinner and I said No that I desired swallow. Something to fill the stomach properly cos there is this delicious oha soup she prepared the previous day. Honestly, I wish and scheme to finish all the liver, towel and other orishirishi used to prepare it. They were so fresh...grin

Few minutes later, my EBA and oha soup were served and my expectations grew into anger...this woman don serve me water soup...grin I look across to her doing justice to her well prepared garnished indomie...(oh men, that indomie tight...green pea, carrot, egg, lettuce) and shouted in frustration: ''Why is this soup watery, am I a prisoner?

Being angry that she is having a better dinner, I raised my displeasure to the power of X5. She explained that the soup I have is the amount she could scoop from the blocked quantity and that she complimented it with water. See me see more anger...I abandoned the food and hit the bed in annoyance. This time it was a mind game. The more she beg to prepare another one the more I cunningly form ''James bond'' and slept off afterwards without eating.

Next morning, after preparing to go out I ask for fried plantain and pap, she said whatever I need I should go get it myself (hangover from lastnightgrin) and I replied; ''since you have decided to starve me, don't shout harder to me any other night again cos I don't wanna faint'' and smiled. I guess she stole a smile, went into the room, got dressed and came out requesting I assist her with money to go see a friend. Women! I quickly dip hand into pocket and handed her a thousand naira bill and she left with just saying thank you.

I was at a lost whether to get angry again or smile off our foolishness when she came right back in with bunch of plantain then I knew my breakfast is guaranteed.
Afterwards she ask me to apologize for rejecting her food the previous night which I did and she became happy.

Umunwayi....God perfect gift.
Eh?

But...but why go thru all that stress to begin with?

Things I noted.

1, when marrying, always be in good terms with your inlaws so if there is ever any need to plead or beg you can easily do so.

2. Earnest may actually have been sent 6ft under by the husband lipsrsealed

3. Look at those pics naaaa. dat woman gat that 'I ain't loyal' look in her eyes from day 1!

4. Celebrity marriages...they never last do they?

5. Talk of the town weddings usually give rise to talk of the town divorces tongue

I just wanted to know what y'all think (especially women). Do you find the statement offensive? Do you agree or disagree? What are your thoughts?
Well of course those women who are not virgins are going to find the statement offensive! They are no longer part of the 'elite' or 'special' group and it can be hurtful to remember that something that special that they kept for so and so a time has been lost forever.

They mostly are the ones who say things like What's special in being a virgin sef?' 'how does it matter in this our modern society?' ' just cos she's a virgin doesn't mean she's any better than us!' Etc etc.

Being a virgin in this morally decadent world is actually something to be proud of cos its not easy to remain so and yes it does show some sort of self control and classiness on the part of the female when all those around her are giving it up for iPhones and isi-ewu come Feb 14 grin

Then again being a virgin doesn't mean she will be good in other q like honesty or maturity etc etc. Those others are learned separately. A virgin girl may not actually make a good wife so to speak. She has to learn the other aspects of life as well.

Trying to push virginity on boys is a socio-political thing and I honestly don't think it will catch on anytime soon(sorry ladies).

Family › Re: Question by 5minsmadness:
@kulikulitapa.

It is not easy living with a mentally unstable partner. It requires a lot of patience and watchfulness on your part. Having said that, mental illness is like any chronic illness e.g diabetes and hypertension. Treatment is for life but as long as the person takes her medications regularly the mental illness will not appear.
Imagine she was able to hide it from him while they were courting. It means she was being careful for it not to show and taking her medications regularly. What probably happened was that after marriage she would have found it difficult to keep hiding her drugs from him, hence she would probably have not been taking her drugs regularly. Also, the first year of marriage is stressful on most couples as they are trying to adjust living up close with each others behaviours. Tempers and irritation are bound to arise once in a while. This extra stress can trigger the mental illness and make it come more frequently.

What to do
The man should forgive the lady. Mental illness has a serious social stigma as seen by some of the replies here. She lied and that was terrible but if he truly loves her enough to marry her he should try and forgive this one imperfection. She too should apologise wholeheartedly to him cos he'll be feeling hurt and decieved.

2. Reassure both couples. If she was able to hide it from him during courtship then it means it can be controlled.

3. She should take her meds regularly, not only when she is feeling down but regularly. Also he should be her support partner by reminding her to take her drugs or even setting an alarm for her. Doing this will let her feel reassured that he is supporting and reduce her stress and worry. It also ensures she doesn't forget her meds as well. As long as she takes her meds she wont misbehave.

4. They should have a regular psychiatrist who they can visit once a month or once every two or three months to know how far she is coping and so on. Going to all these govt hospitals they will just give her sedating medicines which treat the symptoms but does not cure it.

Mental illness is just that, an illness. It won't stop her from enjoying her life or having kids or anything like that as long as she keeps the illness in check by taking her drugs regularly.

Peace.
