Echika China: Those your friends are really alien..... 300k and no car?... Bros get serious abeg.I have colleagues on more than 400k where i work and they use the company bus or public transport here in PH. They may have cars but they don't drive them to work. Most times, i leave mine at home as well and join others to work in their cars or use public trans. It is really expensive to fuel and maintain a car if you factor in other expenses you have to take care of. |

Serendipity: If you are savvy mechanically, you won't argue with the fact a car that is stationary has great chances of being overheated. This is manifest on our roads especially in cities that are traffic jam prone.A car can run stationery for 24 hours or more without overheating. They have been designed as such. Your generator at home doesn't boil after 24 hours, does it? Engines that do such have other underlying issues like inefficient radiators or bad thermostats. Like siena pointed out earlier, a radiator loses its efficiency when the exterior is covered in debris and mud. If your fan is turning at its designed rpm and the blades are okay and you have got the required mix of coolant and water n your radiator and your water pump is working effectively, your car can run in a stationery position without overheating. 1 Like |

Siena: He's very correct. An under-inflated tyre has a smaller contact patch - the centre of the tread won't have any road grip, and stopping distances will be considerably longer.. Shouldn't that be an over inflated tyre? Under inflated tyres to my understanding have a larger surface area in contact with the road surface which sometimes includes the sidewalls. 1 Like |

Well, my friend is kind of lost. I told him about talking to the dad but he won't even entertain the idea. funny though, the babe called when i was with him yesterday and he developed temporary amnesia. lol. He totally forgot this babe had been bullshiting him for months. They spoke for a long time, probably about 35 minutes. It took all my strong will not snatch that fone from him and scream obscenities at her. If ever there was a thing like juju, think my friend has been caught and bound in one. i have given up on his cause. I hope he comes around sooner rather than later. 1 Like |

I recently bought the camry big for nothing as well. Like other posters here, i experience the vibrations as well when i put on the ac and the car is stationery. However, when i put the gear in N the vibration stops. Before it started, my mechanic advised me to replace my belt adjuster cos it was getting bad. Somehow i feel that is the cause. It doesn't disturb the car though. It is a very reliable car though needs to be handled with care cos of its size. If u punish it like a corolla, you will constantly be in the garage changing the shocks and pads. On a positive note, it has got the best air conditioning system i have ever experienced. lol. People constantly beg me to turn it off after forming for a while. . 4 Likes |

I don't know about the test stuff but I will tell him to try and test her though. what manner of test he will come up with, i do not know but i will keep you guys posted. Nextworldnx: Most Girls are guilty of these, they claim to love you(fake love) and all that, but the truth is- Its the potential in you they are actually loving and not you(the potential carrier). I hate such girls with passion. They only love you for "what you are" or "what you are gonna be", but not "who you are". My principle is simple: if you are not gonna love me for who I am (with or without job, with or without money), then mess off!He is so lost in love he won't accept dropping her. Hi. My friend is in a fix and doesn't know what to do about his relationship with his girlfriend. It started like this. They met while in secondary school and fell head over heels in love . They drifted after secondary school but both secretly nursed hopes of getting back together. A few years passed and they both graduated from university and hooked up again briefly. He traveled abroad to further his studies and they grew even closer in his absence. They were really close. He loved her to bits and believed she loved him to bits too. They often spent hours talking or chatting and exchanged details of their daily lives every blessed day. He calls her when he goes for walks and she does same too. She even tells him when she is going to poo . He knew every detail down to when she starts menstruating and when she stops. She had doubts about his sincerity initially but my friend dispelled these doubts by coming down to Nigeria to see her parents and telling them his plans for their daughter. He promised to come back after his MSc and he did. Upon his return she would spend virtually every weekend with him. He introduced her to his friends as the one. (my friend is quite a serious minded fellow so he wasn't kidding about she being the one). However she never introduced him to her friends. In fact she tried everything possible to prevent him from seeing her friends.  . My friend brushed this aside and felt maybe she wasn't quite ready to take that leap yet. However as time went by, the frequency of her visits, calls and chats on BBM dropped. She even managed to visit one day and spent the whole of the visit chatting with her BBM contacts. . At this point, my friend was still jobless and had spent quite a few months in Nigeria.She locks her fones while his phone is devoid of any password. He gave her access to everything personal he had.She claimed she couldn't chat or call or receive calls or visit as much as she used to because she was busy with her job. He confided in me and I told him he probably was thinking too much into nothing. As fate would have it, my friend has got a job with an oil company now and suddenly the girl has started calling again and even went as far as asking him how much he was being paid. lol. Can u imagine her audacity. I forgot to mention they stopped sharing details of their daily lives after my friend came back and had spent a few months in Nigeria (Initial gra gra don wear off i guess). She started answering his questions with questions or dismissing them outright. Now though, she answers all that he asks and even adds what she wasn't asked . My friend is worried she is the type that only sticks around when the going is good and jumps ship at the slightest sign of trouble. What do you all think he should do? (There are two sides to every story though but this is the side i have got so far. Will post hers if i can get her own version.) 1 Like |

Usually I don't paint a true picture of myself on public forums. This time around I will make an exception. Not all guys are like that. I am emotionally balanced and my financial status doesn't dictate my behaviour. In fact I prefer to buy all my gf has yearned for during my broke period when I have the dole, than to spend it on another lady. I listen to all her needs and wants and as soon as I can provide them, I surprise her. I am okay by all standards. Comfy I might add. So your theory doesn't apply to all guys. I know your predicament. I lived with a woman (house mate ) in uk when I was doing my masters who had similar problems as you. Her hubby worked with one of the big oil companies. Her gyno asked her once if her hubby worked in the military cos she was often treating her for one infection or the other. Fortunately, she hasn't got HIV yet. I believe like her, you don't want to leave cos of the financial security you enjoy. If you really want the best for your kids, leave. I am against divorces and all. So, don't divorce, but leave. If you contract hiv and die, who do you think will take care of those kids. Get as much money you can from him, start up a business and leave. For your sake and that of your kids. If we were, we would be forced to obey all th laws of the old testament which frankly are sometimes bizarre. Eye for an eye and stuffs like that. However, its funny how pastors pick only verses which suit their sermon or intentions from the old testament and pass them off as acceptable and leave out others cos they don't suit their goals. When we understand that the old testament was meant for a particular people in a particular place and peculiar challenges, we would be better for it. paul when he was Saul followed the old testament laws to a tee but was not pleasing God. When he accepted Christ, he was saved. Was saul a sinner for following the old testament laws as it was? Answer that yourself and let your answer lead you. Tithing was for a purpose and to a particular people. Are our pastors descendants of levites? Ask yourself that too. A part of the bible stipulates what should be done with tithes after a certain period. It should be shared. I have never seen any church or pastor sharing anything. Have you? 1 Like |
