GOOD RIDDANCE! I was watching that old "Oga Titus" video last night, and when Don Jazzy pronounced "I hereby sentence you to 100 years" for some reason this Invictus Obi dude crossed my mind. Anyway, if convicted, it's unlikely he'll actually serve 30 years in jail (even if he got the max), because the sentences are likely to run concurrently, which would mean no more than 20 years of actual jail time, and with good behavior and all might be considerably shorter. But he'll still serve some SERIOUS time. > |

The befuddling thing is that the reality of horrible roads in Nigeria can be aptly illustrated without the need to use fake pics, which only serves to distract from and/or undermine that reality. . |

neyop85: The only solution is a Subway system. Lagos is already overpopulated, buying more buses will add to the problem instead of solving it. Likely to be PROHIBITIVELY EXPENSIVE, given Lagos' high water table... The Light Rail (all 7 planned lines) and water transportation would suffice.> |

justman911: Thank you.
Every Nigerian deserves a trip to the advanced world at least once a year, so they can see possibilities instead of magnifying small problems and worshipping stupid old deranged bastards for feeding school children while their parents are unemployed and willing to work. Your rulers go to the "advanced world" more than once a year... Even ordinary Nigerians who behave abroad start fighting on the plane. > |

Caseless: ask d'banj how it went with his journey or attempt to cross-over. guttentag: Na their his career go end, make we bet? lucianohase: If he does that his music career will just die! obailala: Dude doesnt want to repeat the D'Banj mistake. IamSoProlific: This guy wan finally sell him soul, I'm sure buyers don line up. I'm sure he's equal to the tax too, since he was able to play axeman/cultism game n played it well for ph, a whole Rivers of blood, despite killing people at a time during his days as an executioner.
Moreover, in selling the soul he should be careful so he doesn't get scammed (oyinbos are the worst/notorious scammers) or even sell the soul for a counterfeit. D'banj will tell him better. "Lazy yoots" First, bother to read... Then, try to understand... Before you comment. Thanks. LifestyleTonite: Nigerian singer, Burna Boy has opened up on his actual desire concerning crossing over to the American music industry.
In an interview with The Fader, the Afrobeat singer who is fast gaining international recognition, revealed that his actually desire is to cross foreigners over to African music.
”Yeah, I care about crossing over, but like in the opposite way. It’s like I want to come here (US) and cross you over to where I am (Africa). Because where i am is the actual home or the beginning”, Burna Boy said.
Speaking on whether African music is accomplishing giant strides abroad, Burna Boy said, ”It’s being accomplished because now everyone I come across is proud to be African”
When asked if he feels Nigeria is being misunderstood by outsiders, the singer said even insiders misunderstand the country.
”Nigeria is being misunderstood by insiders. I can guarantee you that at least 90% of my age group considered the youth had no clue about the real origins of Nigeria.
”There’s so much truth that need to be known. The only thing that can save the youth is knowledge and financial independence” he said.

ours is a society that glorifies wealth without value addition Speak for yourself dude... That's Certainly NOT my own Nigerian value system. exstreve: OMG!!!
Just when I thought Nigeria was doomed, just when I thought Boko Haram will continue bombing villages, just when I thought Yahoo boys will continue scamming people, just when I thought Poverty will never end in Nigeria,
then along came this great news, now that Obama is listening to Rema, Boko Haram is over, Hunger is gone, Yahoo Yahoo is gone, thanks Rema for singing that song, thanks Obama for playing it, we love you, infact, we Nigerians owe you our lives, we could have been miserable without you playing this song, thanks too OP, thanks Seun Some Nigerians can be such miserable gits.... Someone prominent relates to Nigeria in a positive manner and it pains them! SMH Rema and other musicians create JOBS FOR SCORES OF NIGERIANS - producers, DJs, sound engineers and technicians, stage builders and designers, lighting designers, engineers and electricians, artisans, laborers, security, retailers, fashion designers, transporters, etc. The more global attention they garner and the bigger they get, they more money they receive from continental/global tours and the more money they inject into the Nigerian economy. The many concerts by these musicians just in December alone EMPLOYS THOUSAND OF ORDINARY NIGERIANS! Let’s not even mention the global GOODWILL generated for Nigeria (and Nigerians) by these artistes, even in places abroad and among people whose normal visceral reaction is to automatically associate Nigeria and Nigerians with crime, corruption, drugs and terrorism (or just keeping fellow Nigerians happy and preoccupied with other than the daily tribulations and challenges of everyday Nigerian existence)! DEVELOPMENT IS A PROCESS, not an event. Personally, glad to witness several areas of Nigerian life and economic activity that is on the upswing - and even better than the creative INDUSTRY has largely developed and exploded without any significant governmental input and/or assistance, but entirely on the entrepreneurial nous of ordinary Nigerians. Such entrepreneurial spirit will be CRUCIAL towards creating jobs and wealth (plus revenue for the government via taxes, to invest in schools, hospitals, public transportation and infrastructure) that would reduce (if not completely eradicate) hunger, yahoo-yahoo and ultimately terrorism (like BH)! So KUDOS to Rema (and others)!> |
