Fortissimo: How far? You were in mississippi for a while right? Any heads up? My priority right now is getting accommodation. I never touched mississippi bro.... I had more than one admission, I just went to the school I intended to go to and mailed MSU to transfer my Sevis and it was done under 3days, so I had no reason to travel down to Mississippi..... |

princeade09: Thank you very much for your reply, if I understand well, you mean I should forward my transcript then when I am been notified fir admission then I would be asked the SOA right?. Thanx so much I really appreciate My small advise is try and get like 2 to 3 copies of your sponsors SOA, send one with your application documents, keep the other 2. Incase when u r asked for it again after been given admission, Send them one and keep the other one for your interview. Why I asked you to send one with your application is in order for you to save cost of sending docs. Cos some sch will just make use of it right away while some will ask you to send later. |

MsNas: Like someone said, Atlanta has issues and I'm guessing its the sheer numbers of Nigerians that pass through that POE that caused that. I had everything you had when we came back in Jan via LAX. Even more, Peak Milk, Maggi Chicken, Indomie Chicken, Tubers of yam, ungrinded crayfish and even dried herbs that's not soaked at all. We got it in, no issues.
But if a first timer isn't sure or the POE is strict, listen to imperiouxx and err on the side of caution. Those things can be gotten here so leave them in Naija. Word!!!! As a first timer just save yourself the stress and fear of the unknown. I remember when I was to enter through IAH in houston TX, the only food I had on me was Garri and alot of Agbo Jedi and Opa Eyin. When I was asked what food I had with me, I told them garri and herb, nobody was even willing to check my bag. They almost push me away to go go lol. There is no naija food that am not getting here down to Pap (Akamu) and so on. I remember I had a family friend came for holiday last December and I was to pick them from the airport. They came with all kinds of food, their chicken indomie and Maggi was trashed and when the kids saw me, they almost burst into tears because of noodles, I had to drive them from the airport to an African store to get them Indomie before they were happy again. Bottom Point is just save yourself the stress and bring only what's necessary and not what you want/think u might need. God gat your back in Obamaland so food is not a problem. Thanks |

Adazlolly: Please I want to get something straight, please don't laugh at me, let's say I am offered an admission now in a US, I have payed my admission fee and every other necessary fee, must I pay my tuition or a percentage of it before I am given visa, before I leave this country or I will pay when I reach the school? Your response will be highly appreciated. Thanks. No one is advised to pay either part/full tuition before getting visa. Even the VO will not advise it as it does not stand any ground to determine if your visa application will be approved or not. To the best of my knowledge 98% of US school will not ask you for any deposit until you are ready to register for classes. |

amanze15: TRANSFAST......is it a credible media to send and receive money from Nigeria?! anyone Yes it is. They operate with the parallel market with just a little difference in exchange rate. But I will advise you only use them to send money to Nigeria and use Western Union or Money gram to send money from Nigeria. |

frizzylee: Good day guys.... I am a silent reader in this forum and has been active from 6 till now .. I was denied visa This morning in Lagos...... Transcripts .. Me - Good morning. ( Vo - can I get your fingerprint and docs Me - yes sir (passed the docs) Vo - (typing continuously) where are you going Me - Texas Vo - why ? Me - to study information tech... Vo - how did you about this school Me - Did research online from academics websites like us news bla bla Vo - what do you mean by online research Me - look for detailed informations online from sites like us news.... Vo - who is sponsoring you ? Me - my parents Vo - what do they do Me - my dad is an engineer and my mum is an medical doctor she has a ...... Vo - have you ever traveled outside Nigeria Me - No, never had a reason to Vo - okay (keeps typing for a while) Me - (activated prayer mood) Vo - handed the docs and a blue paper (I already know what it means ) Me - can I ask a question please (wanna ask if I would have to pay the sevis fee again if I wanna reapply ) Vo - No, its all stated in the blue file refer to it
Guys what wrong with all this ... No one was issued in my presence today, about 60 or more was denied with blue papers before me no single person was given a Mr . white paper ..
Guys I need advise wanna reapply for July 18th section in school ..
What is the advise ..going bsc not MSc
Thanks If I am the VO, my decision has been made immediately after the bold statement about. To the best of my knowledge, there is no school called Texas. As someone already said, "I researched online" is already a stale format please let's be creative and convincing in our response. You are the driver during your interview, drive the VO to where they will have no choice than to give you the white paper. Thanks |

oganlalasokun: Cab might cost me like how much pls ? I'm afraid they might take advantage of me Try not to use cab. Download the Uber app on your phone and register with your atm card. Then look for the address to the greyhound station and request a ride with the Uber app. Uber is like half the cost of Cab or even lesser sef |

slimmy2005: It cost me 20 bucks to cut my hair. It would cost you nothing less than 100 bucks to have your hair done except you need a cap. I don't have problem with girls, the situation is getting critical. Well to marry for US na $100. So any Tom dick can afford that.
It's sufferness to weave you alone. I don't want to know if you love it o not. When I mean weave, I mean using all those bought hairs to add to theirs. I usually tell my GF she should thank God her peeps are good, if not she go dey do thesame package
